Chapter 9

"Mr. Dacardo has been knocked out with one hit! He can't get back up!"

The scoring system is based on points from Clean Hits, Critical Hits, and knocking down the opponent.

A Clean Hit is an excellent attack, worth one point; a Critical Hit is an outstanding attack, worth two points; and knocking down the opponent also earns one point.

When a fighter accumulates ten points, they can win by technical knockout (TKO). Additionally, if a single hit can render the opponent unable to continue fighting, it is also considered a knockout (KO) win.

Mr. Dacardo, who was hyped up before the match, clearly couldn't pose even the slightest trouble to Heather. As expected, although his physical strength was strong, it was only strong in the ordinary sense. Against Heather, a monster lurking among humans, he had no chance of winning.

Heather's clean and decisive one-hit KO left the referee and the female host speechless, and the audience, initially silent, erupted into enthusiastic cheers.

Most of the spectators here were passionate fighting enthusiasts, and a super-strong fighter like Heather was naturally very popular.

The prize money for advancing from the 50th to the 60th floor was 60,000 Gini.

Over the next two days, Heather was scheduled for two matches each day, and without exception, all of them ended in one-hit KOs. Heather quickly advanced to the 100th floor.

The prize money also increased to 1 million Gini, which immediately covered the travel expenses left by Father Jack and even allowed Heather to have his own private room.

Although the room was small, with only a chair, a coffee table, and a bed, and no private bathroom, it was still a private room.

According to the female attendant who greeted Heather, the 100th floor was a turning point. If a fighter was demoted below the 100th floor, all benefits would be immediately revoked, and they would be asked to leave their private room. Many fighters would fight desperately to maintain their status and benefits after reaching the 100th floor, using any means necessary.

Then, Heather continued to knock out these fighters with one hit. Hmm, it's a bit like the protagonist duo of Gon and Killua from the manga.

Five days later, Heather broke through to the 190th floor with a one-hit KO, and his account balance reached 300 million Gini.

Over the course of a week, Heather, with his unfairly strong power, won a large number of fans. The audience and hosts called him the "One-Hit Man."

At the same time, he learned from the hosts and other fighters that a little over a month ago, two children with one-hit knockout abilities had climbed to the 200th floor.

That's right, they must be Killua and Gon. According to the plot timeline, Hisoka and Kurapika have already finished their arcs.

Ding!

The elevator arrived at the 200th floor.

The number of fighters in the area was noticeably fewer. After all, the prize money only went up to the 190th floor. From the 200th floor onwards, the fights were for honor, so many strong fighters left after earning their prize money at the 190th floor. Among the remaining fighters, many targeted new arrivals at the 200th floor who didn't understand "Nen," a process known as "baptism."

Actually, Heather could have stopped and left after reaching the 190th floor, as his main purpose for coming to the Sky Arena was to earn some pocket money.

But as they say in our country, "Since you're here..."

Seeing the ordinary level of Nen users in this world firsthand isn't a bad idea, so why not stay a few more days?

As soon as Heather stepped into the fighter's corridor, he felt several hidden gazes lock onto him, and at least ten malicious Nen threads, like slippery tentacles, stretched towards him.

"Hehe... thinking I'm an easy target, huh? A bunch of half-baked trash, get lost!"

The suppressed aura burst out, and in the eyes of those half-baked Nen users, Heather standing in the corridor was like a suddenly erupting pillar of scorching fire. Just looking at him made their eyes sting painfully.

Step! Step! Step!

With each step, his aura grew stronger, and the ten malicious Nen threads were firmly locked, unable to retreat. Heather's Nen slowly and steadily eroded along these threads, and the Nen users hiding in the shadows began to fall to the ground, blood gushing from their orifices.

"Wh-What kind of monster is this! I don't want to fight him, I'm leaving!"

"Damn, who said he was a complete novice in Nen?"

"Isolax is in trouble, get him out of here quickly!"

In the puzzled gaze of the attendant, one by one, the fighters of this floor emerged from the dark hall, supporting each other and fleeing in a panic, not daring to look at the young man slowly walking down the corridor, fearing to avoid him.

Ordinary people without Nen training cannot sense Nen unless they are attacked by it. Moreover, Heather did not direct his malicious aura at the staff, so they felt nothing.

"Welcome to the 200th floor, Mr. Heather."

The alluring female attendant bowed slightly and smiled.

"Please complete your registration by midnight tonight, or you will be demoted to the first floor to start over. With your strength, you can certainly return to the 200th floor, but it will take a lot of time. If you fail to register again, it will be considered an unwillingness to register, and you will be permanently banned from participating. There are 174 fighters on this floor ready to challenge you. From this floor onwards, any weapons can be used, so please bring your own if needed."

"Also, from this floor onwards, there is no prize money, and the fights are purely for honor. Would you like us to arrange your registration?"

"Of course."

Heather nodded. Allowing only one chance to skip registration was likely to prevent bored strong fighters from repeatedly fighting weaker opponents on lower floors to earn prize money.

Through the introduction of the registration staff, Heather understood the rules from the 200th floor onwards.

From the 200th floor, the "Challenge System" is used. Each fighter has a 90-day preparation period, during which they can choose any date to fight. Of course, they can fight every day until they are exhausted, depending on their preference. After each match, regardless of the outcome, they can receive another 90-day preparation period, but failing to fight within 90 days will result in losing their qualification and having their record erased.

All fighters who reach the 200th floor will have their own luxurious room, distributed between the 200th and 220th floors.

Winning ten matches grants the right to challenge the "Floor Master." If a fighter loses four matches before winning ten, they lose their qualification.

The Sky Arena has 21 top fighters, occupying floors 230 to 250.

Successfully challenging a Floor Master allows the fighter to replace them as the new Floor Master. Every two years, the Fighter's Festival is held on the 251st floor, the top floor of the Sky Arena.

Only Floor Masters can participate in this Olympic-style tournament.

The final winner will have a luxurious mansion on the top floor, a supreme honor. Each tournament also has additional prizes, occasionally including extremely rare and valuable "Nen items."

Heather adjusted his "Superman's Invisibility Glasses." "Nen items"? I have one too.

He glanced at the registration form, checked the second-to-last box— "Ready to fight at any time."

"I can fight at any time. If possible, the sooner the better, preferably tomorrow."

Heather handed the form back, and the staff member took it with both hands and bowed slightly. "Understood, please proceed to your private room."

The room number was 2105, and the layout was similar to a presidential suite, luxuriously decorated. As soon as Heather entered the room, a new message appeared on the display in the hall.

"Battle day confirmed! On the 221st floor arena, starting at 9:00 AM on April 17th!"
