What to do now.......

Actually, Er Dongsheng's method, when explained, was quite ordinary. Since it wasn't possible to dig a hole in the abyss to store water, he decided to find a water storage container. However, this container had to be large enough, sturdy, and capable of preserving water well.

Looking around, the only thing that met these criteria was the Abyssal Tree.

The Abyssal Tree was indeed an excellent water storage item. Many creatures in the abyss would search for water in dead Abyssal Trees. If they were lucky, these dead trees would still retain some water. It was during one of these water searches that Er Dongsheng discovered the Abyssal Tree Heart. He then had a sudden idea to turn some of the larger Abyssal Trees into water storage containers.

He chose some of the larger, dead Abyssal Trees, cut their trunks into sections about ten meters long, and then hollowed out the trunks from one side, leaving a small part of the inner trunk as a base. This created a massive cup about ten meters long and at least two meters in diameter.

He made ten such massive cups and rolled them one by one to the foot of the mountain. This process took him a considerable amount of time, about eight or nine months, especially when hollowing out the trunks. His claws still ached from the effort.

Next, he found some soft soil at the foot of the mountain, dug large holes, and buried these massive wooden cups, leaving only a small section exposed, similar to the well mouths in ancient China.

He wasn't worried about the outer bark of these wooden cups being damaged. Although these were dead Abyssal Trees and their hardness had decreased, they were still not easily penetrable by ordinary creatures. Buried deep underground, common insects couldn't drill through them. To date, Er Dongsheng had never seen any insect that could penetrate an Abyssal Tree, even a dead one.

The hardness of the Abyssal Tree was no joke.

There's a saying in the abyss: the death of an Abyssal Tree can only be caused by lightning, competition among its kind, or mysterious death.

You didn't read that wrong, mysterious death. In the vast forest, many Abyssal Trees die, especially the smaller ones that struggle to compete for nutrients with the larger ones. However, every year, month, or even day, a few large Abyssal Trees die mysteriously. No one knows how they die!

Moreover, have you ever seen an Abyssal Tree die from insect bites? That's a joke.

At this moment, looking at the tree cavities that were almost full, the water was clear and deep, with a few leaves floating on the surface. Er Dongsheng felt a surge of joy.

"From now on, I'll have a life with water!" He clenched his fist, suppressing his excitement, and began the final step: plugging the massive wooden cups with wooden stoppers.

These stoppers were prepared in advance, slightly smaller than the cup mouths, fitting perfectly. Now, he had to tightly plug these stoppers into the cup mouths, the tighter the better.

Carefully observing, he noticed a small hole in the center of each stopper, which would be useful for drawing water in the future. This small hole could be easily sealed with any object.

The rainy season in the abyss was as unpredictable as a woman's mood. It had been drizzling lightly, but now it was pouring heavily, drenching Er Dongsheng's field of vision.

"Almost done, just a bit more effort, and it will be complete. For a better future, let's work hard!" He encouraged himself and continued working despite the increasing rain.

A few minutes later.......

"Phew, finally finished!" His tail wagged excitedly, reflecting his elated mood.

"Go, go home, make a bowl of soup, take a hot bath, and treat myself well!"

"Life is getting better and better!"

"I won't like the Sunlit Plane at all."

"I'm not thinking about you, old man......"

And my Earth mother, the Yangtze River, the Yellow River......
