6 min read1,554 words

Zhou Beiyang looked at the red-headed and drunk Jin Yanliu, who could not get up, and asked Fatty Xiao with a gloomy look, “What’s wrong with him?”

Fatty Xiao was also very panicked. “I… I really don’t know.”

Zhou Beiyang pulled up Jin Yanliu and placed Jin Yanliu’s arm around his own shoulders. Jin Yanliu chuckled twice and reached out to rip off his brother’s face mask. When he saw Zhou Beiyang’s features, his eyes lit up and fell into a daze before saying, drunk, “You’re so handsome~”.

And his smell, too! Very nice.

The light, sweet aroma felt familiar, and it made him relax and feel safe.

This man, he’s not bad, Jin Yanliu thought.

While the man looked very tall and thin, you would find that he actually has strong and firm muscles once you touched him.

So Jin Yanliu leaned in to kiss Zhou Beiyang on the mouth.

Zhou Beiyang froze up, his entire body becoming stiff.

Fatty Xiao, who was watching this scene at the side, pulled at Jin Yanliu’s arm, his face blushing madly, and said, “Brother Yanliu, you… you’re too drunk. This is Brother Yang…”

Jin Yanliu couldn’t drink at all and usually did not drink. But now, he was drunk to the point that he couldn’t think clearly anymore, wrapping his arms around Zhou Beyang’s neck. “Cutie brother, don’t hide; big brother just wants to dote on you.”

“…” Zhou Beiyang.

“…” Fatty Xiao.

When Zhou Beiyang saw that his brother wasn’t listening at all, he picked Jin Yanliu up and carried him towards the car. Fatty Xiao hurriedly went to open the doors.

Just as Zhou Beiyang put the drunkard down and was about to get up again, he was grasped tightly by Jin Yanliu and couldn’t move. Fatty Xiao immediately said, “I’ll drive, I’ll drive,” quickly sitting in the driver’s seat.

There were no lights in the car, and he heard a faint rustling coming from the backseat, as well as Jin Yanliu’s drunken and dishonest voice. The assistant turned around to see the two brothers stuck together, with Jin Yanliu not letting go and eating Zhou Beiyang’s tofu*. Zhou Beiyang had nowhere to hide.

*TL note: eating tofu means to take advantage of someone.

Frightened, Fatty Xiao hastily turned back around.

Jin Yanliu is drunk right now, and once he becomes sober tomorrow and learns of these events, he’s going to explode, so it’s better to watch less.

Jin Yanliu, with his irritable drunken temper, kept grumbling. It seemed like his ‘tofu eating’ was not very smooth, and in the end, he finally grumbled impatiently, “Come on! Do you want it or not?!”

As for Zhou Beiyang, he hadn’t spoken a word.

Seeing him in the car being so gentle and patient, it was hard to the man together with the him that stood together with his idol group on stage. On stage, even when ten thousand young female fans were screaming, calling his name, Zhou Beiyang’s heart didn’t seem to move in the slightest, resulting in even wilder cheers.

Fatty Xiao knew that Zhou Beiyang wasn’t just putting up an act, this man was cold from the inside out.

Two brothers, one is like ice, and the other is like fire. One ice and one fire, one silent and one lively, but they are unexpectedly harmonious.

They didn’t go to a hotel, heading straight back to the BanShan Villa.

BanShan Villa was very famous in Nan City. Located on the Tyumen mountains, this area became the favorite place for big stars and the wealthy to live due to the good FengShui and privacy.

After Jin Yanliu entered the entertainment industry, he bought a villa here. The house was enormous and even had a small courtyard in the front. The car stopped by the courtyard, and Fatty Xiao hurriedly got off to open the backdoors.

Zhou Beiyang, who was 186 cm tall, supported Jin Yanliu out after much effort, who was also 180 cm. Jin Yanliu was still holding on to his shirt, refusing to let go, resulting in the white shirt being unbuttoned for 3 buttons, revealing Zhou Beiyang’s firm chest muscles. The hem that was originally tucked into the waistband was also pulled out by half.

Zhou Beiyang’s face was flushed.

Having known Zhou Beiyang for so many years, it was the first time that Fatty Xiao saw his face so red, so embarrassed.

But it’s true. He did have a lot of his tofu eaten.

Thank goodness it wasn’t some stranger; at least the person was a close brother, Fatty Xiao thought.

He hastily went to help stabilize Jin Yanliu. The Jin Yanliu who was drunk couldn’t distinguish who was who, and when he saw the assistant coming, he stretched arms to hug him, “Handsome brother…”

But Zhou Beiyang had pulled the young man back before his hands could even touch Fatty Xiao.

Jin Yanliu was basically collapsed on top of Zhou Beiyang, and with one hand reaching under the hem of the loose shirt, he grabbed at Zhou Beiyang’s back, causing Zhou Beiyang’s entire back to tense instantly.

Fatty Xiao immediately went up to drag Jin Yanliu’s hand back.

Jin Yanliu blurted out arrogantly, “I want… to… make…”

Before he could say “love,” Zhou Beiyang clamped his hand over the young man’s mouth.

Fatty Xiao, with his face red, pondered for a long time about whether he should stay overnight.

The villa was massive and had many rooms. Jin Yanliu preferred peace and quiet, so he only asked the cleaning lady to come clean during a fixed schedule. There weren’t any outsiders who lived in the house, so there were many empty rooms. The members of their team basically have all stayed here before.

But this is all before Zhou Beiyang moved in. Ever since he came, the Jin Yanliu who didn’t know how to take care of himself didn’t need anyone else anymore.

So, with Zhou Beiyang here today, he didn’t need to worry, Fatty Xiao thought.

But Jin Yanliu is too drunk, continuously trying to eat Zhou Beiyang’s tofu. If he went overboard, then it would inevitably become awkward.

The assistant saw that even though Zhou Beiyang’s lips were tightly pursed and cool, the redness on his face has not subsided.

It should be better to have him, the “third party” at the scene.

Just as he thought of this, Zhou Beiyang suddenly spoke, “Thank you for your hard work. It’ll be fine with just me here; you can go back.”

“Ah.” Fatty Xiao lifted his head to look at Zhou Beiyang. Under the bright light, he saw that there was a noticeable hickey on Zhou Beiyang’s collarbone.

So harsh… it’s indeed in line with Jin Yanliu’s temper… but it’s already like this; do you really not need me to help?

“I’m not sure what happened with Brother Yanliu these days; he’s a bit off, but he won’t say anything even if I asked. Once he wakes up, try asking; he might tell you.” Fatty Xiao was distraught for Jin Yanliu, feeling that he’s been too abnormal lately.

Zhou Beiyang let out a grunt of agreement, and probably feeling pain, he rubbed his neck.

The starry sky above Banshan mountain looked a little brighter, and the night also looked a little damp. Fatty Xiao scratched his nose and looked back again. The entire villa was dark and shadowy, with a few beams of light coming through.

He recalled this was the first time that Zhou Beiyang was so gentle while speaking to him and had even personally sent him to the door.

After sending Fatty Xiao away, Zhou Beiyang opened the refrigerator to get a bottle of chilled mineral water. Tilting his head to drink with his Adam’s apple rolling, he soon finished the entire bottle. Lunging onto the sofa, the distinct veins on his hands bulged as he squeezed the empty the water bottle, which crackled.

In the bedroom, Jin Yanliu was shouting, “Where’s the handsome brother? Handsome brother!”

Zhou Beiyang turned off the lights and sat within the darkness for a long while before standing up and sauntering to the bedroom.

Jin Yanliu had stopped yelling, only humming gently. Zhou Beiyang pushed open the door to enter, only to find that Jin Yanliu had already taken off his clothes, his thin, well-proportioned body lying down on the bed. One of his arms drooped down from the side of the bed, his fingers bent and fingertips touching the ground.

The floor was littered with his clothes, with his t-shirt thrown onto the nightstand, covering the corner of a picture frame.

It was the year that Zhou Beiyang graduated from high school.

As a group of friends, they went abroad to vacation with the country they were visiting celebrating some fireworks festival. The photo was taken just as the entire city was setting off the fireworks, with Jin Yanliu wrapped in his red scarf tilted slightly, pointing his finger at the sky filled with colorful fireworks. And at the right-most corner of the photograph was Zhou Beiyang, surrounded by a few good friends, his eyes shining intensely with a strange calm as he looked at Jin Yanliu.

The night was dazzling, and they, with their facial features and sharpness, were filled with that similar distinct feeling of youth.
