Chapter 97: Hair Clips

Members of vampire royalty shared a very close relationship with each other. After all, any two members of royalty were probably separated only by a single line of kin, making their familial ties extremely strong.

The indicators signifying the purity of the vampire royalty bloodline had been thoroughly ingrained into Ji Bai’s heart. With one gaze, he could differentiate which vampire was further away from or closer towards the direct line of descendants.

It was very obvious that Anna belonged to the latter. In other words, it was highly possible that she and that b*tch —in other words, the current scarlet queen— were cousins or even closer than that.

At that moment, the door handle loosened up.

“OK, I am also going back to playing my game!” Instantly, the complex frown on her face relaxed; Anna had seemingly recovered her vitality. She then bounced her way out towards the door.

‘Don’t laugh! I am actually not bragging! When that woman treated me as her pillow and hugged me while sleeping, I pretended to sleep-talk and kicked her twice! Not only did she not retaliate, she even tucked me in an amiable manner, hmph! I really am goddamn smart!’ Ji Bai thought, pleased with himself.

“Is that so?” Somewhat flabbergasted, Anna turned her head around.

“Of course, do you think I’d lie about that?” Answered Ji Bai with a direct and forceful voice.

“Haha, I’ll just treat it as real. It’s better that way. Well, Mr Ji Bai, thank you for that piece of information~”

“Speaking of which, you’re very familiar with that person, aren’t you?”

“Who’s familiar with her! I don’t even want to know her!”

Anna didn’t respond and only gave him a noncommittal smile.

‘Even though he said that he didn’t care about her and denied it firmly… The truth is, there’s a place for her in the depths in his heart. It’s truly miraculous how a conformist, aloof vampire like her could actually be emotionally tied down to a human. His attitude towards her reminds me of Lin’s attitude towards me.’

If Ji Bai knew what Anna’s thoughts were, he would probably have died on the spot in anger.

“After such a long time, she would probably have kids of her own… *Sigh*, that’s right.” Muttered Anna to herself, seemingly as if she thought of something. Taking out a pair of hairclips from her pocket, she coiled up two locks of her silver hair and tied them into a pair of ponytails.

“…!? Hey, that hair clip seems to be…“

‘Oh, so it was you that day, huh? It’s no wonder why her voice sounds so familiar…’

“Hmm? Is there a problem?” Anna turned around and tilted her head sideways.

“Uhm… No.” The corners of Ji Bai’s twitched incessantly as he held back his urge to say something. The conflict between his emotions caused his face to turn crimson.

“Does this pair of hairclips look very strange to you?” Asked Anna in confusion as she saw Ji Bai tenaciously looking at the pair of bat-shaped hair clips.

“…No, I just feel that these hair clips don’t seem to match you very well.” Ji Bai turned his head to the side.

Ji Bai narrowed his eyes as he spotted the contradiction in his thoughts.

That said, he still couldn’t bring himself to like vampires. What’s more, the appearance of this woman was very similar to that s*ut; Even if anyone that had a relationship with that woman was not two-faced and sinister in character, they were definitely not of the benevolent type. If it was possible to avoid them, then it’d be best for him to do so.

“Then so be it. If there’s nothing else, I am leaving.” Ji Bai directly went down the stairs after shooting a last glance at the pair of hair clips.

“This house is already capable of being a breeding ground for cockroaches. You should do a proper house-cleaning when you have the time.”

She didn’t hear Ji Bai’s response; Instead, a closing door’s gust of wind greeted her.

Anna smiled as she looked at the now-closed door.

“A guy that doesn’t have the guts to pick up a girl. Well, a blockhead like him who’s incapable of flirting is definitely unable to snatch Lil’ Lin-Lin away. Let’s relax and play with my IPad~”
