Returning to the company, he was busy until evening.
Gu Beixian raised his hand to loosen his tie, his eyes cold as he looked at his assistant, "Have you found what I asked you to look for?"
The assistant replied, "Mr. Gu, Shen Huai has no nickname. His family just calls him Shen Huai or Little Huai."
The coldness in Gu Beixian's eyes lessened slightly, as if it was within his expectations.
A Yao is the man deeply buried in Su Ke's heart. Before their divorce, she wouldn't easily go out with him.
She is young, but she always acts with restraint.
Gu Beixian pushed his chair back, stood up, and fastened the button on his suit, saying, "I'll have someone else attend the dinner with Mr. He tonight. I have something to do."
"Alright, Mr. Gu." The assistant helped him tidy up the documents on the desk.
Leaving the Gu Corporation building, Gu Beixian drove to the antique street.
The sun was setting, and the sky was gradually darkening.
He sat in the car and called Su Ke, "I'm outside your shop, come out."
The phone transmitted Su Ke's slightly surprised voice, "We're having dinner outside, a colleague gathering."
"Who's there?"
"All the colleagues from the shop."
"Is Shen Huai there too?"
"Yes, he's the young master of our shop."
Thinking of the two of them chatting and laughing together at noon, a hint of displeasure rose in Gu Beixian's heart, but his voice remained calm, "Call me when you're done, I'll come to pick you up."
"Thank you." Her tone was restrained and distant, as if deliberately keeping her distance from him.
Gu Beixian felt a bit uncomfortable, and his hand holding the phone tightened slightly.
He hung up and dialed Xiao Yi's number, "Come out, let's have a drink."
"My brother, it's only this early and you want to drink?" Xiao Yi's voice was lazy and spoiled, as if he hadn't even gotten out of bed.
Gu Beixian's voice was crisp and deep, "Bring the seal and the land sale contract, be at Jinzhaozui in half an hour, or I'll leave without you."
Xiao Yi's drowsiness vanished, "Alright! Brother, I'll be right there!"
Half an hour later, at Jinzhaozui, Zui Xiang Pavilion.
The room was crowded with people, busy signing contracts, processing paperwork, and transferring funds.
After everything was done, everyone left, leaving only Gu Beixian and Xiao Yi.
The fair and handsome man sat lazily, his arm loosely draped over the back of the chair, his beautiful almond eyes slanted as he sized up Gu Beixian, "Not in a good mood?"
Gu Beixian took a sip of wine, nonchalantly, "Not really."
His hand, pale and long, holding the wine glass, was exceptionally beautiful.
"Tsk, you're out drinking to drown your sorrows, and you still say it's not really? When others are in a bad mood, they go out to find women for pleasure, but you, you go and buy a piece of land, what a big move. Next time you're in a bad mood, remember to find me, my old man still has a few pieces of land in his hands." Xiao Yi teased.
"Don't take me for a fool. I was planning to sign this contract anyway, just a week earlier." Gu Beixian put down his wine glass.
Xiao Yi picked up the white porcelain wine bottle and refilled his glass, "I heard Chu Suosuo is back in the country, you two have been getting pretty close lately?"
Gu Beixian's eyelids flickered, "What do you want to say, just say it."
"Su Ke is a good girl, don't let her down." Xiao Yi's eyes fixed on him, unusually serious.
Gu Beixian's fingers lightly tapped the table, and he smiled faintly, "She is pretty good."
"Then why are you...?"
Gu Beixian lowered his eyes, staring at the clear white wine in the glass, his tone very light, "A very capable young girl, three years ago, because her family was short of money, she was forced to marry me. She might not say it, but she must feel wronged. I've wronged her for three years, I don't want to let her continue to feel wronged."
Xiao Yi was surprised, "Just because of this, you want to divorce her?"
"Pretty much."
Xiao Yi sighed, "Such a good girl, can you bear to let her go?"
"What else can I do?" Gu Beixian's face was expressionless, but a shadow of darkness lingered in his eyes.
He couldn't keep her trapped by his side, watching her suffer in nightmares, calling out for her A Yao.
He couldn't bear to see her suffer.
He also couldn't tolerate the humiliation; he was a man, a man who couldn't stand a speck of dirt in his eyes.
But to really let her go, he couldn't bear it.
Quite a dilemma.
Gu Beixian held the wine glass to his lips and finished the remaining wine in one gulp.
The white wine was sharp, cutting through his throat like a knife.
It stuck in his chest, burning.
Suddenly, a knock came from the door.
Xiao Yi called out, "Come in."
The person pushed the door open.
A heart-shaped face, delicate and charming features, a white bubble-sleeved chiffon princess blouse tucked into a tight skirt, wearing a full set of Cartier jewelry, a Chanel jacket draped over her arm, and carrying a Hermes ostrich leather bag.
It was Chu Suosuo.
Seeing her, Gu Beixian's eyes cooled slightly, "Why are you here?"
Chu Suosuo swayed her slender waist, walking gracefully behind him, her arm resting on the back of his chair, leaning in, her red lips brushing his ear, her breath like a fragrant breeze, "I heard Brother Beixian was having dinner here, I came to say hello."
Gu Beixian's ear was tickled by her warm breath, and he leaned to the side to avoid it. Seeing that she had no intention of leaving, he said emotionlessly, "Sit down."
"Thank you, Brother Beixian." Chu Suosuo pulled out a chair and sat down, draping her jacket over the back of the chair.
The waiter immediately brought her a set of utensils.
Gu Beixian pushed the menu to her, "Order whatever you want."
Chu Suosuo looked at the full table of dishes, pushed the menu away, and smiled sweetly, "No need to order, whatever Brother Beixian likes, I like too."
Xiao Yi raised his hand to wipe the goosebumps on his arm.
Chu Suosuo turned a plate of Arctic sweet shrimp to her side, her large eyes glistening as she looked at Gu Beixian, "Brother Beixian, I want to eat shrimp."
Xiao Yi pursed his lips, "Don't you have hands?"
Chu Suosuo puffed out her cheeks, looking pitiful, "I've never peeled shrimp myself. At home, my parents do it for me. When I used to go out to eat with Brother Beixian, he always did it for me."
She reached out and clung to Gu Beixian's arm, her voice sweet and cloying, "Brother Beixian, I want to eat shrimp you peeled, can you peel them for me?"
Gu Beixian glanced at her with a faint look, withdrew his arm, put on disposable gloves, and picked up a shrimp from the plate to peel it.
For some reason, the image of Su Ke peeling shrimp for him flashed in his mind.
Her hands were very skillful, the shrimp meat came out intact, and the shell remained whole.
He had tried several times but couldn't do it.
After peeling one, he held the shrimp meat and placed it on Chu Suosuo's plate.
Suddenly, Chu Suosuo bent down, using her mouth to catch the shrimp from his hand, deliberately taking his fingers into her mouth as well.
Her tongue circled his fingertips lightly, sucking and kissing them.
Her eyes were moist, full of desire and longing.
She quickly released his fingers, smiled seductively, and bit the shrimp gently, saying softly, "The shrimp peeled by Brother Beixian's own hands is really delicious."
Gu Beixian's expression froze slightly, unsure of what he was feeling.
He removed the disposable gloves from his hand and threw them aside.
He then picked up the disinfectant towel on the table and wiped the finger she had licked.
Xiao Yi's skin was covered in goosebumps, and he really wanted to slap her. They weren't even divorced yet, and she was already acting so shamelessly!
Flirting in front of him, treating him like air?
Xiao Yi picked up his phone and quickly sent a text to Su Ke: Sister-in-law, your husband is drunk and acting crazy, he's not even coherent, come and pick him up. We're at Jinzhaozui, third floor, Zui Xiang Pavilion.
Su Ke was having dinner with her colleagues at the Kyoto Grand Hotel. She received the message and called Xiao Yi to get more details.
Because Gu Beixian had always been a good drinker, she had never seen him act crazy when drunk.
The phone rang once and was hung up by Xiao Yi.
Su Ke pulled up Gu Beixian's phone number, just about to call.
Suddenly, another text from Xiao Yi popped up: Sister-in-law, come quickly! Hurry, it's an emergency!
Su Ke's heart skipped a beat.
