Fenrir, of course, had not thought so far ahead. After all, he was merely a young member of the Seth family, nothing more than a pawn in the hands of the current family head.

However, Midy's casual attitude and rudeness greatly enraged him. With a roar, Fenrir had already placed his hand on the hilt of his sword.

"Midy! How dare you..." The blond youth showed no fear, instead roaring like an enraged lion.

Seeing their master under attack, the Seth family's guards, both visible and hidden, reacted simultaneously. However, at the same time, a bone-chilling cold suddenly swept across the entire training ground.

The red-haired girl finally moved. When she did, she immediately subdued everyone.

The surging, tangible magic, the cold wind that seemed ready to tear a person apart, finally calmed the explosive atmosphere, returning it to a slow, steady flow.

Perhaps this is the best chance to kill Fenrir! Looking at the helpless opponent before him, Midy recalled the pain of his family's destruction and his own displacement over the past twenty years, the humiliation and despair he had endured. His hand began to tremble.

"This waste of space is not worth dirtying your sword. If he were worth killing, I would have done it long ago." The familiar and beloved voice rang out.

Fina's words were like a warning bell, restoring Midy's calm.

Yes, if he really acted, the Seth family would immediately launch a noble war, and Fina's Hamilton family would certainly take advantage of the opportunity. The entire Belmar Duchy would fall into civil war, ultimately benefiting the ever-watchful Delos Empire.

"You're right, Fina. This person is not worth my anger," Midy said, lowering his weapon.

Fenrir's lips moved, but he dared not speak harshly. In that instant, he had sensed Midy's genuine intent to kill, and he felt as if he had fallen into an ice cellar.

Watching Fenrir leave with a cold, hateful gaze, Fina glanced at the black-haired youth beside her.

"Are you alright?" Rarely did the Storm Queen ask a question that showed obvious concern, and it was entirely out of character for her.

This long-overdue greeting made Midy's body tremble, and then he smiled confidently. "Fina, we must get first place in the trial."

"Of course. Who do you think I am?" The red-haired girl replied with equal confidence, without hesitation.

The next morning, Midy boarded the carriage to return to the Asreks family's earldom.

Originally, with only a week left, he should have focused on training with the new members. However, after breaking ties with the Seth family, Midy's father, who had received the news, immediately sent someone to summon Midy back. Fina did not say much, only nodding in agreement that parents were important.

Perhaps this was the Storm Queen's way of showing approval.

Midy immediately returned to the family estate. In his memory, this was one of the few times his usually doting father had shown such a stern attitude, indicating that his actions had truly pushed him to the limit.

Thinking of his father's anxious face, Midy felt a twinge of guilt. However, he did not regret his actions from the previous day.

"Master Midy, please forgive my boldness, but Lord Asreks is truly angry this time. I beg you not to argue when you return and to apologize to him properly."

An elderly, gentle voice pulled Midy back to reality.

Sitting respectfully across from Midy in the carriage was the family's steward, Lothar. The sixty-something-year-old man, dressed in a crisp black tailcoat with a neatly groomed white mustache, looked like he had stepped out of an old painting. Indeed, he had served the Asreks family for three generations.

Since Midy's birth, this old man had silently guarded him, often cleaning up the messes caused by the young troublemaker, bearing the anger of the people, and striving to restore the Asreks family's honor.

Two years later, when the Delos Empire invaded, he, despite his advanced age, bravely took up arms and died on the battlefield, a loyal and dedicated old soldier.

However, back then, Midy had treated him like an old fool, always calling him without respect, never showing any gratitude, and taking his loyalty for granted.

"I understand, but thank you, Lothar." Midy smiled at the old steward, who had cared for him for so many years, and patted his shoulder kindly. "Though opposing the powerful Seth family is daunting, I did not act on impulse. Don't worry. I will communicate well with Father."

Lothar was momentarily stunned. He had braced himself for a scolding but did not expect such a sincere and thoughtful response.

Could it be that the young master has truly grown up?

For a moment, the old steward felt a sense of relief.

The journey from the capital, Haldonmar, to the duchy took a full day. However, after angering one of the country's most powerful forces, the cautious Lothar feared any mishaps. He gathered over thirty well-trained greatsword warriors as guards and did not stop along the way, urging the horses to move quickly.

By dusk, Midy could already see the gates of the Asreks family castle.

Ingman Asreks, Earl of Asreks, Midy's father and the lord of this land, was already waiting in the study.

The elegantly dressed but worried-looking, handsome middle-aged man first inquired about the journey from the old steward, relieved to hear that nothing had gone wrong. He then turned to the quiet youth, who showed no signs of remorse, with a look of disappointment.

"Mi-dy, I remember telling you long ago," Ingman said sternly, "to avoid getting too close to the Seth family, but more importantly, not to offend them, even if you are wronged! As the future heir of the Asreks family, you should not lack reason and must think carefully before acting!"

"Yes, I know," Midy nodded.

"No, you don't. You actually drew your sword and placed it at his throat in public, and the Hamilton family was right there. This has already..." The earl sighed, falling silent.

But Midy knew that the earl was already considering how to make amends for his mistake. In his distant memory, his father was always like this: outwardly, he was the powerful Earl of Asreks, cold and unyielding, impossible to deceive.

However, in front of him, he was an overly indulgent father, perhaps because of his late mother. The earl always tried to compensate, fulfilling any of Midy's requests to the best of his ability.

"Please follow me," Midy said, ignoring the earl's suspicion and distrust, and walked directly into the depths of the castle.
