31 - The Lord of the Underground Lake

The first attack of the giant crab blew out a lot of bubbles, which was just like breathing out of it.

The death bubbles sprayed out, however——

“Ha!!”

——Hit the water pillar raised by the spirit, popped and disappeared.

The spirit used the flow of the water to shield us all together in a water ball and moved us toward the land.

At the same time, a pair of scissors broke through the water column and closed in.

Even the countless water shields that the spirit deployed as quickly as she could pierced through them as if they were cutting paper——

The water ball flew at high speed. But the giant crab, chasing us at a speed faster than that, tried to crush us with its hammering scissors.

Dekasura pushed us all together to the edge of the water, and became a wall.

“Guu!!”

It barely avoided a direct hit, but the aftermath alone obliterated 90% of Dekasura’s body and sent us tumbling to the hard floor of the underground lake.

I got up in a panic.

In front of me.

The giant crab’s hammering shears——

——Dogo!!

The hammering scissors that were cutting through the wind to kill me, were caught by someone.

“I felt a powerful presence, and when I came to, I saw that you were in big trouble.”

I heard such a voice from afar, and we were swallowed by the water that suddenly appeared.

The water enveloped us and formed a wall of magic power, more powerful than the water ball we had just seen, sending us to the ceiling of the underground lake.

What we saw was a vast underground lake and a giant crab.

A yellow giant stood next to the hammering shears, four giants (red, blue, green, and white) standing around the giant crab, and three spirit sisters standing on the lake.

The outlines of the giants were blurred, and each colour had its own attributes.

Red giants have the attribute of fire. Blue giants are water. Green giants have wind. Yellow Giants are earth. And White Giants have the attribute of light.

Where on earth could a Giant with such immense power be?

There’s one possible explanation.

It was the countless small spirits that were surrounding the giant crystal.

It would make sense if those spirits had gathered into giants, one for each attribute. But it’s a spirit giant.

…But, that alone is not enough to make it such a powerful enemy…..Perhaps they are coming from the fairy forest as well.

I noticed that the battlefield, which had temporarily come to a halt, began to move again.

The blow of the hammering scissors swung down again contained tens of times more magic power than the previous blow.

Its aftermath alone was enough to cause the lake to flood, swallowing the demons in the surrounding area.

The light giants that came at him from behind to take advantage of the opportunity were, however, bathed in the rays of light emitted from the crystal pillars, and he did his best to catch the light.

The Wind Giant, aiming at the scissors, repeatedly attacked in a high trajectory, but only carved a shallow wound on the surface.

On the contrary, they are fighting back and forth against the continuous attacks of the sword shears that are launched at the same speed as the Wind Giant.

The fire giant is struggling to burn off the right leg of the giant crab with their entire body, but it’s the least dense of the bunch and is having a hard time.

There’s too little fire in the lake and fairy forest.

On the left side, trying to seal off the legs is the Water Giant. The water from the subterranean lake is manipulated to cling to the legs of the giant crab, slightly slowing it down.

However, the giant crab seems to be incompatible with the water giant’s attacks, and the giant’s attacks are not causing much damage.

The three water spirits attacked the giant crabs with huge spears and blades while the giants were also attacking it themselves, but the wounds quickly regenerated.

The ferocity of the crab was extraordinary, and even though it was only one, it was almost unharmed against eight of the monstrous creatures. What kind of monster is this?

I can’t tell how much time has passed because we’re in the underground lake, but I know that a lot of time has passed.

The battle was still going on.

The giant crab had lost both of its scissors, its right leg had been burned off, and the wounds of various sizes all over its body were left unregenerate. Some of its armour was cracked open, exposing its contents, and there were several fatal wounds on it.

Although it was in a state of full-body wounds, its fighting style made it hard to believe that it was dying.

As for the giants, four of them had already disappeared except for the Water Giant.

Realizing its disadvantage, the fire giant sacrificed itself in a suicide attack, burning off the giant crab’s right leg and disappeared.

The Wind Giant followed the Fire Giant, exposing itself to the scissors and forcing itself into a gap that they created, consuming everything they had to cut off the scissors and disappear.

The Earth Giant kept taking the hammer shears’ continuous attacks, and just a few minutes ago, it ripped the hammer shears off and disappeared.

The Light Giant, which had been on the receiving end of the giant crab’s most concentrated magic attack, disappeared at the same time as the earth giant.

Only the four of them, the water giant and the three spirit sisters, remained.

The giant crab, while being torn to pieces all over its body, concentrated its magic power and healed the fatal wound.

Here, the sister spirit played her trump card.

She took in the water giant and concentrated its power into a single large spear.

The big spear fired by the sister spirit flew into the giant crab, whose legs were burned off and it was unable to move——

——And the giant crab was struck down.
