Seeing the webpage opened on his phone, it was still on the Taobao page, filled with all kinds of imported cat food and canned food.

"Zhao Yao, buy me some cat food, I'm tired of eating Royal Canin," Matcha looked at Zhao Yao with an expectant face.

However, after Zhao Yao glanced over and saw that a random bag of imported cat food cost 600 to 700 yuan, he immediately said, "So expensive? No way, too expensive."

Seeing Zhao Yao's refusal, Matcha immediately widened her round eyes and looked even more pitifully at him, saying, "I read online that the quality of cat food affects a cat's lifespan. If the cat food isn't good, it can lead to health issues like blood in the urine when the cat gets old.

"Besides, eating the same cat food every day makes me want to vomit. Buy me some imported cat food, please."

As she spoke, she opened her big eyes and kept rubbing against Zhao Yao's palm.

Zhao Yao still shook his head and said, "Too expensive, I can't afford it. Let's wait until I get a raise." If he really bought those imported cat foods and treats, Matcha would cost him dozens of yuan a day, which was a significant burden for Zhao Yao.

After being refused again, Matcha immediately stopped her actions, her round eyes narrowed, and she gave Zhao Yao a glare before jumping off the sofa and walking towards the bedroom.

Over the past month, Matcha's intelligence had rapidly increased, especially after she learned how to use the internet. She had transformed from a five-year-old innocent child into a rebellious teenager.

Feeling Matcha's disdain, Zhao Yao pulled the corners of his mouth and said, "You're really snobbish..."

After resting for a while, Zhao Yao stood up and started tidying the room. Because of having a cat, he needed to sweep the floor every day to clear the cat hair and scoop the litter from the cat toilet, then throw it into the garbage bag.

However, while cleaning the cat toilet, Zhao Yao noticed a small piece of cat feces had fallen at the entrance of the toilet.

"Damn cat!"

Pinching his nose, he used several layers of toilet paper to pick up the small piece of feces and threw it into the garbage bag, then carefully wiped the floor several times with disinfectant.

After finishing all this, he immediately walked into the bedroom and saw Matcha sprawled on the bed, an old phone in front of her.

Her little head was raised, her eyes focused, her mouth slightly open, and her pink tongue slightly protruding. She was staring at the phone with a dazed look, her pink paws constantly swiping the screen, her face full of tension.

Zhao Yao walked over and glanced at the phone screen, saying, "Playing Honor of Kings again?"

"Uh-huh."

"How did you poop outside the toilet again? Do you know how much trouble it is to clean up?" Zhao Yao said angrily.

"I know, I won't do it again next time," Matcha said nonchalantly, her eyes never leaving the screen.

Seeing her leisurely gaming, Zhao Yao became even angrier and said, "How many times this week? I've told you so many times to finish pooping before coming out. Don't just rush out after pooping a little."

"I know," Matcha said while operating the phone, "Who made the toilet so dirty that there's no place to step? When are you going to buy me an automatic cat toilet? I see many cats online using them."

Zhao Yao pulled the corners of his mouth, "That thing isn't reliable. Scooping the litter every day is more environmentally friendly and allows me to check your health."

Matcha flicked her tail, "You're just broke. How is manual scooping environmentally friendly? Only if you use it for farming."

'Feeling like I'm raising a son, the old Matcha was much better.'

Zhao Yao's mind flashed back to over a month ago, when Matcha was innocent, cute, and obedient. He couldn't help but feel nostalgic.

Looking at the current Matcha, who was obsessed with Honor of Kings, he pouted and stretched his head to look at the screen. He saw Matcha controlling Luba Seven, running around the field, and finally being killed by Sun Wukong.

Then, the voice of a teammate came from the phone.

"Is Luba an idiot? He's been giving since the start."

"Can elementary school kids stop giving? Go do your homework?"

"Idiot Luba, report our Luba after the game!"

Seeing these messages, Matcha's tail started to swing in anger, and she began typing back.

"Others take my head with skill, why say I'm giving?"

"Garbage tank, don't know how to protect the backline?"

Zhao Yao, seeing this, was not surprised. Over the past month, he had discovered that Matcha wasn't just able to speak and communicate with him; her intelligence and understanding of the world had been increasing daily. She even understood Chinese characters and pinyin for no apparent reason.

After learning to use the internet and play games, her cognition and personality had changed even more.

Several experiments over the past month had also confirmed that Zhao Yao could only communicate with Matcha and not with other ordinary cats.

Matcha was the same; only Zhao Yao could understand her, while others just heard meows.

Their communication was more like a mental connection, where they could hear each other's thoughts within ten meters, even without speaking.

On the other side, Matcha was still enthusiastically communicating with her teammates in Honor of Kings. Since Zhao Yao gave her his old phone, she had become fond of playing games.

However, mobile games, especially Honor of Kings, were not very friendly to cat paws, causing her to often make mistakes. Out of ten games, she lost nine, and the one she won was a free ride, which left her stuck at Bronze level.

Zhao Yao glanced at her screen, which showed a score of 2-12. He silently mourned for Matcha's teammates, shook his head, changed his clothes, tidied the room, watched some TV, and before he knew it, it was 12 o'clock.

Yawning, Zhao Yao returned to the bedroom to sleep, but found Matcha in a different position, sprawled on the bed in a "Y" shape, still playing on her phone.

Zhao Yao sighed, frowned, and urged, "It's 12 o'clock, how much longer are you going to play? It's time to sleep."

Matcha didn't even look up, saying with a dismissive tone, "Are you stupid? I'm a cat, I don't need to sleep at night."
