In Zhou Jiesi's room, which was currently empty, a ripple suddenly appeared. It wasn't like the interstellar gate Zhou Jiesi had imagined; it was just a 'whoosh,' and a person appeared. He looked around, checked the alarm clock he had set, and compared it with his watch, finding that the time difference was about ten times. So, he decided to calculate it as ten times.

After checking the time, Zhou Jiesi kept going in and out, playing to his heart's content, like a child who had just received a gift, determined to play. And just like a child, his enthusiasm lasted only three minutes!

Before long, he felt bored and silly. The fairies in the space had long been unable to bear it, their heads full of black lines, but none of them dared to say a word. Criticizing the boss was like lighting a lamp in a toilet—it was asking for trouble. Although they didn't have this Chinese proverb, they understood the principle.

Perhaps the constant in and out was quite tiring. Zhou Jiesi was also a bit exhausted. After all, he had gone through so many changes. The fact that he could still be like this already showed how thick-skinned he was. So, he went back to bed to sleep.

The sun set and rose again. Zhou Jiesi slept so deeply that his family almost took him to the hospital. Fortunately, his brother-in-law spoke up, saying that he had once been so tired that his parents couldn't wake him up, and they had taken him to the hospital. At the hospital, nothing was wrong, and the doctor said it was due to exhaustion. After receiving some nutrients and a good sleep, he woke up. The old doctor was quite decent and didn't overcharge, or it would have been a big expense. However, the ambulance fee, hospitalization fee, and IV fee still cost several hundred to a thousand yuan.

Zhou's father thought it was better to observe, as there was no need to waste money, and his son's breathing and other signs were normal. However, Zhou's mother disagreed. Children were her heart's treasures, and money could be earned again, but if something happened to the child, what would they do?

Zhou's mother even slammed the table and scolded Zhou's father, "Zhou Guangzu, I want my son, even if you don't. In this state, you still don't take him to the hospital. You just care about money, and you don't want your son anymore. Are you even his father? How can you be such a father, Zhou Guangzu?"

Zhou's father also got angry. He felt unjustly accused. How could he not love his son? This was his only son, and he had him late in life. He always gave him whatever he wanted.

So, he retorted, "Guo Xiangmei, you're making a fuss over nothing. What are you talking about? How can I not love him? I just said to observe. There's no need to waste money. Look at what you're saying. Have you seen me like this for decades? Is this how you see me, Zhou Guangzu?"

The two usually had a good relationship, but Zhou's mother became irrational when it came to her son.

The two started arguing without warning. The daughters quickly came to mediate. The eldest daughter blamed her husband, saying, "It's all your fault. Why did you say that? You're pulling on one side while they're arguing on the other." The brother-in-law didn't argue back; in this situation, the more he said, the worse it would get.

The second daughter saw the situation and decided to use her ultimate move. She suddenly said, "Ah, my stomach, my stomach hurts so much." She held her big belly.

The second brother-in-law was very worried and quickly went to support her, anxiously asking, "Wife, are you okay? You can't be okay."

The second daughter saw her husband's face and gave him a meaningful look. The second brother-in-law wasn't stupid; he immediately understood and called out even louder.

Zhou's parents saw the situation and stopped arguing. Only the eldest daughter was still scolding her husband. Zhou's father, seeing the situation, shouted, "Enough, stop arguing. Can't you see that the second sister is in pain because of your arguing? Stop it."

The daughters were all frustrated, and even Zhou's mother couldn't help but laugh. Zhou's father, realizing the situation, couldn't laugh either, as it would be even more awkward. As everyone was about to gather around, Zhou's mother stopped them, "Don't get too close, don't get too close. Let the pregnant woman breathe. Second sister, take deep breaths."

The second daughter took a few breaths and stopped pretending, saying she was fine. Everyone calmed down and sat down.

While Zhou Jiesi was sleeping soundly in his room, he heard the noise outside and immediately thought about why it was so noisy in his dream. Women, indeed! He shook his head helplessly, quickly put on his shoes, and prepared to go out and see what was happening.

When he came out, the argument had already ended, and everyone was sitting down. Zhou Jiesi was a bit confused and didn't know what was going on. But he could always ask. So, he asked, with a slightly complaining tone, "What are you doing? It was so noisy just now, and now it's so quiet. Mom, is there any food? I'm so hungry. I must have overslept. You didn't even wake me up for dinner. That's too much."

"Call? How did we not call? You were sleeping like a log. Do you know how long you slept? Even a pig doesn't sleep as much as you. People thought you were hibernating. You slept for a whole day and night. No matter how we shook or called you, you didn't wake up. Tell me, are you a pig demon in disguise?" The third sister, with a short temper, shouted at Zhou Jiesi.

The eldest and second sisters also started scolding him. The third sister, still not satisfied, stood up and continued, recounting all the arguments to Zhou Jiesi. Zhou Jiesi, seeing the situation, quickly tried to divert attention. He went over to show concern for the second sister's belly and the baby inside. He also gave the fourth sister a meaningful look, but she only returned a helpless look. He then looked at the second and eldest sisters, but they didn't help him either. The two brothers-in-law also looked helpless.

Finally, he gave Zhou's mother a meaningful look. Zhou's mother couldn't stand to see her son act pitiful, and her heart softened. She said to the third sister, "Third sister, that's enough. Your brother didn't do it on purpose. He might have been too tired. It's not his fault."

"Mom, you always spoil him. Look at what you've made him. Tired? I don't see him being tired. What does he do besides eat, play, and sleep? He quit the job I found for him after a short time. And the jobs the eldest and second sisters found for him? He doesn't cherish them. He's always picky. What more do you want after graduating from high school?"

"Enough, Third sister," the eldest and second sisters interrupted.

"He's still young. You shouldn't say such things. I can still support him now, and I don't need you to support your brother in the future. I've left him a house, and we can add some money to build a storefront when the old house is demolished. That should be enough to live on. If you don't want to take care of your brother in the future, just say so. I won't force you," Zhou's mother said sternly.

The third sister panicked, "Mom, that's not what I meant. I just don't want to see him become useless. How will he survive in this society? The future is unpredictable. It's better for him to have a skill to rely on."

The other sisters quickly tried to calm her down, "Mom, Third sister didn't mean it. You know she has a short temper." Zhou Jiesi also quickly tried to calm her down, going to Zhou's mother and acting cute.

Zhou Jiesi actually had a good relationship with his sisters. In his previous life, when he was in trouble, they didn't hesitate to help him. At that time, he was a bit of a troublemaker, and he didn't do much good. It was only later that he realized his mistakes and started working hard. However, society was too harsh. Even college graduates struggled, let alone him.

No matter how well he worked, he never got promoted. The high positions were always occupied by people with connections, who were not only more capable but also better at flattering. Their education was also higher. So, he never made it to the top and eventually returned home. He lived off the family's assets, spent his days on the internet, worked as a ghostwriter, and wrote novels, earning a bit of VIP money on a certain platform. He had plenty of time and lived a life of a shut-in, daydreaming and creating fantasies.

But now, things were different. Although he had failed in his previous life, with the space, he could live a good life, even without knowing about lotteries or stocks. He was now full of confidence for the future.

Who doesn't have ambitions? Who doesn't want to eat well, drink well, live well, and earn money without working? Who doesn't dream of beautiful women, luxury cars, villas, yachts, and private jets? Who doesn't want to eat healthy food and breathe fresh air? Wealthy people build villas in the suburbs, buy villas in the countryside, and even move abroad. Everyone wants such a life, but few have the opportunity or luck.

Zhou's mother, seeing everyone's efforts to calm her down, decided to let it go. "Alright, I'll get you some food. Sit and wait." She got up and went to the kitchen.

Zhou's father, seeing the situation, asked Zhou Jiesi, "What happened?"

Zhou Jiesi, of course, couldn't tell the truth. It wasn't a matter of trust; some secrets were better left unknown. The more people who knew, the less secure it was. He planned to keep this secret for life, no matter what.
