Since it's a trip for fun, we shouldn't just rush to the destination and ignore the scenery along the way!

Qin Yi and Ye Fang rode their horses for a few minutes, leaving the ranch living area, then slowed down, enjoying the journey as they went.

This time, they both brought cameras. They helped each other take photos of their heroic poses on horseback, the slowly flowing stream, the sea of purple alfalfa flowers, and the distant Rocky Mountains. All these scenes became the backdrop for their cool poses.

Seeing the water birds and various small animals that were occasionally startled, Ye Fang asked excitedly, "Can we hunt here?"

"Rabbits and pheasants are no problem. For white-tailed and black-tailed deer, you need to apply, but occasionally shooting one isn't a big deal. How about we go hunting tomorrow morning?" Qin Yi had just practiced his shooting skills and was also very interested in hunting!

"Do you have a hunting rifle?" Ye Fang was very excited to hear he could go. Given his family background, he certainly had the means to hunt, but opportunities to hunt in such a natural environment in his home country were rare.

Qin Yi smiled, "Of course, I bought one a few days ago. Guns are absolutely essential on American ranches. I heard that in winter, there are many wild animals here, and predators are quite common!"

The two agreed to go hunting the next morning and stopped discussing the topic, continuing their leisurely ride toward the grazing area. Halfway through the journey, they had seen enough of the scenery and taken dozens of photos. Qin Yi and Ye Fang then spurred their horses, using about 40 minutes to reach the grazing area by the Sun River. The initial few minutes of galloping weren't noticeable, but this 20-minute continuous sprint left Little Brown panting heavily, while Little Black remained leisurely, making Ye Fang's eyes shine—what a fine horse!

"Little Black has such good endurance! I said you're riding such a good horse and giving me a worse one. Come on, get off and let me try Little Black."

Saying this, he dismounted, ready to take Qin Yi's place on Little Black.

Qin Yi knew he was joking but explained, "Little Black is very particular. No other cowboys can ride him except me. You can try, but be very careful, don't get hurt!"

Qin Yi dismounted and let Ye Fang try. He stood by, watching. Ye Fang first stood in front of Little Black's left shoulder, gently stroking the horse's face and whispering. At first, Little Black shook his head and snorted occasionally, but gradually, perhaps sensing the faint fruit scent on Ye Fang, his wary eyes became less tense, and he quietly enjoyed Ye Fang's petting.

Seeing Little Black's reaction, Qin Yi thought there was a chance! But thinking of Little Black being tamed by someone else, he felt a mix of emotions.

Ye Fang also noticed the change in Little Black's eyes and didn't delay. With a standard mounting motion, he swung himself onto Little Black's back. Unexpectedly, the previously calm Little Black immediately reacted violently, jumping and kicking, refusing to let Ye Fang sit on his back! Ye Fang gripped the reins tightly, struggling to maintain his balance, almost falling off several times! Finally, he had no choice but to lie flat on the horse's back, hugging the horse's neck with both hands and clamping the horse's belly with his legs, determined to stay put no matter what!

Little Black jumped for 8 or 9 seconds but couldn't throw Ye Fang off, so he got angry and galloped off at full speed!

Qin Yi, who had been trying to calm Little Black, was even more frightened when he saw the horse start running. "Ye Fang, don't get hurt!"

A few cowboys, including Ryan, noticed the situation and were also scared. They shouted and rode over, trying to prevent Ye Fang from falling. Falling off a horse could be very dangerous, ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening ones, and broken bones were common!

"Little Black, stop! Stop right now!"

"Third Brother, hold on tight! Damn, what's going on here!"

Qin Yi was extremely anxious, shouting at Little Black and then at Ye Fang, chasing after them, but he couldn't catch up with Little Black's speed!

In a few seconds, Little Black had run dozens of meters and was at full speed when he suddenly stopped, almost standing vertically. Everyone's hearts leaped to their throats, watching Ye Fang closely, hoping he wouldn't let go!

"Ah!"

"Don't let go, buddy! Don't let go!"

"It's over, it's over!"

Everyone shouted in alarm!

Ye Fang's legs, which had been clamping the horse's belly, couldn't hold on due to the jolt and Little Black's sudden stop. He dangled in the air, only his hands still gripping Little Black's neck, making everyone extremely worried, fearing he would fall at any moment!

Fortunately, Ye Fang had eaten the fruit, giving him twice the strength of an average adult. Otherwise, Little Black's sudden stop would have already thrown him off! Ye Fang was drenched in cold sweat, but he gritted his teeth, refusing to let go, knowing that falling at this speed would result in serious injuries.

Seeing Ye Fang not fall, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. They were now very close and urged their horses to run faster!

Ryan had already picked up a lasso, ready to throw it and control Little Black!

Qin Yi, seeing Little Black about to run again, shouted loudly, "Little Black, stop! Don't ride anymore! I'll make him get off, I promise!"

Little Black had calmed down a lot. Hearing Qin Yi's shout, he turned his head, neighed twice, and finally stopped, shaking his back to try to throw Ye Fang off!

Qin Yi, seeing this, shouted in surprise, "Third Brother, get off quickly! Get off, or Little Black will run again!"

He had been shouting for a long time, but Little Black didn't listen, probably because he was angry and confused!

Ye Fang, realizing the situation, quickly let go of Little Black's neck and safely landed. He stumbled and fell to the ground, finally breathing a sigh of relief!

At this moment, Qin Yi rushed over, and Ryan and the cowboys also arrived, comforting Ye Fang. Although the process was dramatic, at least nothing serious happened, and everyone's hearts were finally at ease! Qin Yi was also drenched in sweat, knowing that Ye Fang was just a bit exhausted. He quickly walked to Little Black's side and gave the horse a hard slap on the buttocks, making Little Black jump and look at him with big, sad eyes!

Seeing Little Black's sad eyes, although he was angry, he couldn't bear to hit him anymore!

He blamed himself for allowing Ye Fang to try riding Little Black, knowing that Little Black didn't let others ride him. Fortunately, nothing serious happened, or he would have felt guilty for life!

Seeing Qin Yi hit Little Black, Ye Fang quickly stopped him, "Xiao Yi, don't hit Little Black anymore. It's not his fault, it's all my curiosity! I really envy you, having a horse that only you can ride!"

Ye Fang's voice was still a bit breathless, but the intense experience, though only a few seconds, had drained all his energy!

Others also chimed in, saying that a horse that hasn't been tamed would react like this!

Everyone comforted Qin Yi, who was already reluctant to hit Little Black, so he walked over, petted the horse's head and face, and let Little Black go graze!

Ryan sighed, "Little Black didn't have this speed and endurance before. Look how fast he accelerated, and when he jumped, his back was almost vertical to the ground!"

"Maybe Little Black is still growing. He's a wild horse and only three years old, so he still has potential!" Qin Yi gave the most reasonable explanation.

The cowboys had tried to tame Little Black before and knew he wasn't as strong then. They had been thrown off, but Ye Fang managed to hold on, which impressed them greatly, making Ye Fang feel very proud and not at all disappointed about not taming Little Black.

Seeing that everything was fine, the cowboys didn't stay and got back on their horses to continue watching the cattle. Ryan continued to accompany Qin Yi and Ye Fang.

After a while, Qin Yi realized he still had a lot to learn about ranch work. He could only brush horses and herd cattle, but he hadn't tried things like trimming sheep's hooves, catching cattle, or milking cows!

The sheep were too far away, and they didn't have dairy cows, so they decided to try catching a calf!

"Ryan, is catching cattle dangerous? Teach me how to catch them!"

Qin Yi was eager to learn, and mastering more ranch skills would earn him more respect from the cowboys.

"No problem, Yi. It's generally not dangerous! But for beginners, it's better to start with calves to practice."

Qin Yi wanted to learn, and Ryan was happy to teach.

Ye Fang, who was resting, was also interested but wasn't fully recovered. Qin Yi told him to keep resting and watch.

Qin Yi called Little Black back and got on his horse. Ryan shouted to the cowboys, who cooperated by driving out a calf. The calf, separated from the herd, was a bit nervous and tried to run back several times but was stopped by the cowboys.

Ryan rode up, threw a lasso at the stationary calf, then rode to a suitable angle and pounced, quickly tying the calf's legs together in just a few seconds. Qin Yi and Ye Fang cheered, impressed by the old cowboy's skills!

Then Ryan demonstrated how to catch a running calf, which was similar: first, lasso it, then run alongside it, maintaining a two-meter distance, and pounce when the calf's hooves touched the ground.

Qin Yi tried, and the pounce was fine, but tying the calf's legs was a test of skill, taking him several dozen seconds!

Qin Yi could overpower a calf, but a full-grown cow would be impossible. Before he could tie its legs, it would already be struggling to stand up...

Ryan said that tying a cow's legs just required practice, with no shortcuts. Because of this, Qin Yi started a "cow-tying battle," which was tough on the calves.

Continuously tormenting one calf made Qin Yi feel bad, so he had the cowboys help drive the calves, catching each one three times before letting it go and moving to the next!

Thump! Thump!

The whole process was frustrating for Qin Yi, and the calves were miserable, looking at him with tearful eyes, which made Ye Fang laugh.

After resting, Ye Fang also joined in, even though he might never use this skill, but it was fun, a part of the trip!

Finally, Qin Yi managed to tie a calf in under 10 seconds, exhausted and ready to stop, letting the calves go free!

Checking the time, it was already past 11:00. Qin Yi decided to take Ye Fang to see the new pasture grass and then go back for lunch and a rest before fishing in the afternoon.

Hearing that Qin Yi and Ye Fang were going to see the new pasture grass, Ryan happily joined them. He loved seeing the new grass, hoping it would grow well and bring prosperity to the ranch!
