“Are you looking for someone?”

Nana gives me a quizzical look. She must have had similar thoughts to me.

“It’s a bit of an urgent quest, though.”

Ms. Mativa places a sheet of paper with a portrait written on it on the table. It depicted a thin-eyed man with a booming brown beard.

“Three days ago, a self-proclaimed necromancer by the name of Neikra went on a dungeon hunt.”

“Self-proclaimed…”

“I don’t know much about it, but it seems that the weapon he has in his possession is a sword that controls the dead.”

“That’s unusual. Can’t that person come back?”

“Yes. I think he’s probably headed east into the woods, and I need you to go find his body.”

You’re looking for a corpse; you’re pretty sure it’s dead.

But if he hasn’t come back in three days, is it more likely that he’s dead in the wild?

“So, we’ll find Mr. Neikra. Does that mean we’ll get promoted if we find him first?”

“That’s how it works. If there’s a body, I’ll get a guild card, and if there’s no body to be found, I’ll still have his equipment or something.”

I see. So the reason why only one group could be promoted was because there was only one quest target?

The Search for Neikra the Adventurer

Achievement: Collect either Neikra’s guild card or Neikra’s equipment.

However, only the adventurer group that brings it to the guild first will be rewarded.

Sen raised his hand.

“Isn’t that person not coming back because he’s exploring the dungeon?”

It was the place where my classmates went on an expedition. However, to be precise, that dungeon is a special type of dungeon that looks like a layered tower type.

This is because it is a mixed type with the other one that Mativa is about to mention.

“The other one is underground. It’s more complicated than a layered tower.”

“What’s so complicated?”

“It’s harder to find because it stretches underground, unlike the layered tower.”

“I see …… there are no towers around here, so what Mr. Neikra went looking for was an underground type.”

“That’s right. So, since the underground types are inconspicuous, we’re supposed to contact the guild first as soon as we find them.”

“Are you saying you haven’t received that call?”

Some underground entrances are like a cave, while others are just holes in the ground. Hence, they are difficult to detect.

It is also known as a castle built into the ground.

Some old man must have thought about it with a grin on his face.
