In the quiet hallway, the sound of the elevator opening echoed. An elderly woman carrying a basket of vegetables walked out of the elevator.

As she opened her door, she turned her head to look warily at the young man standing at the stairwell. She remembered seeing this young man, wearing a baseball cap, posting flyers at the stairwell when she left. Now, after buying vegetables and taking a walk, he was still there.

The man at the stairwell had a shoulder bag and a waist pouch. Many flyers were sticking out of the bags, and he also held a bunch of flyers in his hand. It seemed he was about to stick one on the wall. However, he was now frozen in place, motionless like a statue.

The elderly woman, who had entered her apartment, gave the man posting flyers a disdainful look before slamming the door. Perhaps the sound of the door closing startled the man at the stairwell, bringing him back to his senses.

"What just happened? What is a Chosen One? Why did I suddenly see so many things? Did I really foresee the future? Or did I travel to the future and then come back to life?" Jiang Feng, standing at the stairwell, muttered to himself, full of confusion.

Just as Jiang Feng was about to stick a flyer on the wall, a red light suddenly hit him. Then he couldn't move. His mind was suddenly filled with a lot of information. Those pieces of information seemed to transport Jiang Feng to the future.

A rift in the abyss appeared, and a hundred races descended upon Earth. The humans who once ruled the Earth became prey for the alien beings. The entire Earth thus welcomed the apocalypse. In this terrifying apocalyptic environment, humans also experienced a wave of evolution. From then on, the era of Magic Cards began.

The alien races slaughtered humans, and prehistoric ruins emerged one by one. Humans struggled in this cruel wave of evolution. Jiang Feng also struggled in the future he saw. Magic Cards, which could transform into living items and combat items, also appeared at this time.

According to the information that suddenly appeared in his mind, all of this was going to happen today. As a Chosen One, Jiang Feng was fortunate enough to see the events of the coming days. He also clearly remembered the chilling scenes and the deaths of his classmates after the apocalypse.

In the days of the future that Jiang Feng saw, he also struggled step by step. The scenes that flashed in his mind were so real that they still made Jiang Feng shudder.

"My old friends and my future friends will all die one by one. And I, in the end, will die alone in the wilderness." Jiang Feng muttered, his expression呆滞. His right hand first touched his left eye, then his left arm.

"After the apocalypse, my classmates died one by one, and I almost died too. No, I don't want to die." Jiang Feng, as if suddenly waking up, hurriedly took out his phone from his pocket. He then realized that the phone signal was extremely unstable, and he couldn't make any calls.

"Damn, how has it been over an hour? Is my phone broken?" Jiang Feng was stunned by the time on his phone.

He had come out early in the morning to post flyers, originally planning to go back to class after finishing. But now he would miss the first two classes. Just as he was wondering if his phone was broken, Jiang Feng suddenly noticed the time on his phone again.

"Three minutes, just three more minutes. Whether it's real or not, I have to find a place to hide. Hiding for a few minutes won't kill anyone." Jiang Feng said, looking at the time on his phone.

He looked around, but there was no place to hide. Unless he ran into one of the apartments, he would have to stay in the hallway.

"Let's do it." Jiang Feng gritted his teeth and quickly ran to the door at the end of the hallway, pressing the doorbell.

After a moment, a female voice came from behind the door: "Who is it?"

"There's a package, please come and sign for it." Jiang Feng said, pretending.

"So fast, I didn't expect it. I just placed the order yesterday, and it's already here..." The voice from behind the door continued as the door opened. The door quickly opened.

The door opened, and a young girl walked out. She was talking, but when she saw Jiang Feng, she stopped. Because Jiang Feng had no package in his hand.

Taking advantage of the girl's confusion, Jiang Feng pushed her. As he pushed her into the room, he also rushed in. He closed the door and leaned against it, breathing heavily. He also locked the door with his hand on the doorknob.

"Ah..."

The girl's scream echoed. She quickly stepped back, stopping only when she reached the wall opposite Jiang Feng.

Looking around the small living room, there was no one else besides the screaming girl. To Jiang Feng's left was the balcony, and to his right were the kitchen and bathroom. Next to the girl was the door to the bedroom, which was open and empty.

The girl was young, probably younger than Jiang Feng. Since it was June and she was at home, she was wearing shorts and a loose T-shirt. She was now holding her T-shirt tightly, looking at Jiang Feng with fear.

"Don't be afraid, I just came in to hide. There are monsters outside. When the monsters are gone, I'll leave." Jiang Feng said while shaking his phone to find a signal.

He thought that if monsters appeared, he wouldn't be afraid of breaking into someone's home. If not, he would run away after a few minutes.

"Ah... don't come closer. I'm not a beauty, my figure isn't good, and my chest isn't big. Please don't come closer." The girl screamed and made a defensive gesture.

Jiang Feng glanced at the girl, thinking that if the apocalypse didn't happen, he would really go to jail. Looking down at the time on his phone, there were only a few seconds left before the apocalypse. Jiang Feng couldn't help but become even more nervous.

On one side was going to jail, and on the other was the terrifying apocalypse. Jiang Feng didn't want either. If he had to choose, he would rather go to jail.

Just as he was thinking this, he was about to go to the balcony to check. As he was about to move, he saw something out of the corner of his eye flying towards him. Just as he turned to look, his forehead was hit by the TV remote the girl had thrown.

"Big bad guy, go to hell." Taking advantage of Jiang Feng covering his forehead, the girl screamed and rushed over, kicking him in the groin. Jiang Feng's body instantly curled up like a shrimp.

"Help...!"

As Jiang Feng fell, the girl screamed and ran towards the door. Just as she fell, Jiang Feng quickly reached out and grabbed her ankle. With a strong pull, the girl fell to the ground with a thud.

"Don't go out..." Jiang Feng, holding the girl's ankle with one hand and his groin with the other, said with a distorted face.

If the apocalypse really happened, the girl running out would likely be eaten by the monsters and might bring them inside. If the apocalypse didn't happen, Jiang Feng would really go to jail.

No matter which outcome, Jiang Feng couldn't let the girl go out. He held onto her ankle and dragged her back.

"Let me go, let me go..." The girl screamed and kicked Jiang Feng in the head with her other foot. After leaving two shoe marks on Jiang Feng's face, her shoe fell off, but she continued to kick him.

Jiang Feng couldn't free his hands, so he had to endure the girl's random kicks and screams to buy some time.

Soon, the entire building suddenly shook. A red light flashed outside the window. At the same time, Jiang Feng felt as if he had fallen into water, almost suffocating. The girl felt the same way.

"It's really happening." With the sound of collisions from outside, Jiang Feng said to himself.
