Yang Bo thought his trip to the capital was about to end. Luo Yaohua had already brought him to the front of a club, and Cao Yuande had called him to join for dinner.

Luo Yaohua knew that if Yang Bo wanted to continue on this path, socializing was inevitable, and it was necessary to meet more appraisers. Without waiting for Yang Bo to speak, he said straightforwardly, "Go in, and take me with you!"

Yang Bo looked at Luo Yaohua, "I thought you wouldn't like to gather with these old antiques!"

"Even if I don't like it, I have to go. If I want to make it big in this industry, having a wide network is essential. I don't need to know all the famous appraisers in the country, but at least half of them!" Luo Yaohua said.

Yang Bo turned to look at him. He had always thought Luo Yaohua was just playing around and would give up halfway, but now, from his words, it seemed he was serious about this.

"Are you going to open an auction house?" Yang Bo ruled out antique shops and pawnshops because they were too small.

Luo Yaohua nodded, "You guessed it!"

If it were any other time, Yang Bo would have thought Luo Yaohua was joking, but now he was sure Luo Yaohua was serious.

"Why haven't I seen you preparing?" Yang Bo couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.

Luo Yaohua, driving, didn't turn back, "Of course you wouldn't know. I've prepared the startup capital, which has already been transferred to my account. I've been hanging around in the industry to understand it better."

Yang Bo was stunned for a moment before he realized that this young man with dreams was very different from what he had seen. He had only seen Luo Yaohua's carefree and frivolous side, never thinking that it might just be a facade. If he were truly frivolous, how could he have taken on such important roles at a young age?

He had only seen Luo Yaohua's任性 (reckless) work style, often going out during work hours, without realizing that Luo Yaohua might have already taken over the cases of Mei and Yuan. Otherwise, how could he have acted so quickly in the investigation?

He had only seen Luo Yaohua give up a government position arranged by his family to become a middleman, without realizing that Luo Yaohua had dreams and wanted to achieve something!

If Luo Yaohua was like this, what about himself? What did he really want to do?

Luo Yaohua turned back, "We're almost there. What's wrong with you?"

Yang Bo shook his head, "Nothing, just thinking about something."

When they arrived at the private room, Cao Yuande and the others had already been sitting for a while.

Seeing Yang Bo enter, Mr. Cai shouted, "Latecomers must drink three cups as a penalty!"

Yang Bo glanced at the table and saw that the wine was Maotai, but he had never drunk before and was afraid he wouldn't be able to handle three cups.

Luo Yaohua, who had already been tested with alcohol, was not afraid. He picked up the wine glass and drank three cups in a row, earning applause from everyone.

Luo Yaohua pointed at Yang Bo and explained to everyone, "Little Yang is still young and not very good at drinking. I'll drink these three cups for him!"

Yang Bo couldn't help but feel grateful and looked at Luo Yaohua. True heroes show their worth in times of crisis!

Mr. Cai, however, was persistent, "Ah, Little Yang is young, we all know that. Not being able to drink is understandable. How about this, he doesn't have to drink too much, just half a cup, let's start with half a cup!"

Yang Bo, seeing no way to refuse, stepped forward, "Thank you, Mr. Cai, for letting me off easy!"

With that, Yang Bo drank the half cup in one go. The spicy wine burned down his throat like a fire, making him involuntarily hiss.

Everyone laughed.

In the drinking contest, Yang Bo was at a disadvantage, but fortunately, everyone's focus was not on drinking. Cao Yuende introduced the two of them, and the conversation quickly shifted to the exchange meeting.

The strange artifacts that Yang Bo was interested in were just a topic for laughter. Everyone was more interested in new ceramics and new imitations. Mr. Cai even took out a piece of porcelain to demonstrate.

"The glaze is even, the color is bright, it looks more real than the real thing, but..."

Listening to everyone's discussion, Yang Bo felt he had learned a lot. He had seen little before, but now, after hearing everyone's analysis and combining it with his own observations, he had a better understanding of some appraisal knowledge.

Mr. Cai seemed to have no intention of letting Yang Bo off, turning to Director Chang, "Yang Bo is slippery, Director Chang, don't you have any perseverance?"

Director Chang shook his head and smiled, "Hey, Mr. Cai, don't try to provoke me. Am I so easy to be tricked? Young people have their own ideas, we should respect them. If every good item has to be handed over to the state, wouldn't that dampen the enthusiasm of collectors nationwide?"

Liu Fatso nodded, "I've always admired Director Chang. Why? Because he always speaks fairly!"

Mr. Cai feigned anger, "Are you saying I don't speak fairly?"

Liu Fatso quickly denied, "Mr. Cai, I didn't say that!"

"Mr. Cai?" Mr. Cai was taken aback, "You seem to be distancing yourself. You didn't use to call me that!"

Liu Fatso laughed, "Whoever asks me to hand over my collection, I'll be angry with them and distance myself from them!"

Everyone laughed.

Yang Bo found the group quite interesting, much more lively than the stereotypical old antiques he had imagined.

Liu Fatso turned to Yang Bo, "You've made a name for yourself! When will we have a chance to work together?"

Yang Bo knew Liu Fatso was a rare exception in the circle. He mainly did business by pulling strings, but because of his exceptional eye, he had entered the circle. Liu Fatso's invitation naturally meant he wanted to buy antiques. Yang Bo smiled, "Sure, let's work together in the future!"

Liu Fatso put on a sad face, "Look, I said we should work together in the future, and you took it seriously. What I meant was, if we had a chance to work together now, it would be even better!"

Yang Bo laughed, knowing that everyone didn't mind. He grabbed Luo Yaohua, "Brother Liu, I have a brother who can be introduced to you. Maybe we'll really have a chance to work together in the future!"

Liu Fatso's eyes widened, "Little Luo, I've been sitting here for so long and still don't know what you do?"

Luo Yaohua was pleasantly surprised. He was worried about how to introduce himself, but Yang Bo had done him a big favor. He quickly explained, "I'm doing something similar to you. I plan to open an auction house in Jinling next year. I'm still preparing, and I hope everyone will support me when the time comes!"

"Young man, you have ambition!" Liu Fatso smiled.

"You have aspirations!"

No one was stingy with their praise, and they all praised him. Auctions and appraisals were closely linked, and there might really be a chance to work together in the future!
