Chapter 1

Long ago, there was a massive war between humans and other races. The reason for the conflict was simple: humans wanted to dominate the other races, and the other races fought to resist this domination.
Humans, led by a hero called the "brave," systematically killed the other races, regardless of age or gender. Stories of human victories in the war spread daily.
The brave hero displayed overwhelming power, and it seemed that the war would quickly end in a human victory. However, at some point, a turning point was reached, and the war dragged on. The various other races began to unite their forces.
Elves and dwarves, who had always been in conflict, joined forces. Goblins and orcs, who had always been considered inferior and ignored, combined their strength. Trolls and ogres, who had been indifferent to the world, began to participate in the war as they sensed the crisis. Many other races also united. Even the beast-like races that lived quietly in distant lands and the kobolds that lived secretly in underground tunnels emerged to fight against the humans.
Humans began to feel their limits. Defeats in the war became more frequent, and eventually, the number of human victories decreased. Thus, humans were pushed back by the many races and ultimately lost the war. They lost most of the territories they had occupied and began to flee from the other races.
Their refuge was not on the surface but in a deep, hidden labyrinth underground. This was the final stand of the humans, who had turned all the races into enemies. To pursue the humans who had hidden in the labyrinth, the other races began to train adventurers. These adventurers started to explore the labyrinth and hunt down the humans.
However, the human resistance was tenacious. Even after hundreds of years, adventurers continue to explore the labyrinth to kill the humans who are expanding through it.
Although the current humans are forced to live in the labyrinth, hidden from the other races, they have lost the blessings of the land and the beauty of the sun. After hundreds of years, they no longer know how beautiful the night sky is. Once, they boasted of being the favored race of the gods, but now they are just a race living in the dark underground.
However, we must not underestimate them. They still possess power and could do anything to reclaim the land. Therefore, we must always be cautious.
Especially with the recent appearance of humans called "players"...
- From the prologue of an adventure guide for novice goblin adventurers.
