After that, I spent the whole day practicing fire magic.
Controlling fire turned out to be much harder than I imagined, and it didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped.
But it was fun.
This is how everyone studied magic.
It was really enjoyable to understand things I hadn’t understood before.
However, while practicing fire magic with Iam, I encountered a few issues.
The problem was that I could only produce fire from my left hand.
According to Iam, it was because of the sigil on my left hand.
Normally, a typical magician can perform magic from any part of their body, but in my case, the sigil on my left hand had a strong influence, making it impossible for me to produce fire from anywhere else.
However, Iam also said that with enough training, I could overcome this limitation.
Unlike when I couldn’t use magic, I could now identify my own strategies and problems.
I realized how much fun studying magic could be once I could actually do it.
“Well, human. It’s time to say goodbye.”
That night, Iam said his farewell.
I had considered the possibility that he might resist leaving like Ourobus, but Iam said that only Ourobus would resist being dismissed.
“Even if Iam leaves, the sigil won’t disappear, right?”
“Yeah, you can still use it without any problems. But for the future, it would be a good idea to learn the summoning ritual.”
“I see, thank you so much, Iam.”
I thanked him deeply.
Today was the day when my efforts finally paid off.
So I felt truly grateful.
Then I recited the dismissal spell.
“Next time you summon me, make sure to have a building worth burning.”
“Y-Yes, I’ll take care of it…”
I replied to his parting words.
“Right, I should also thank Ourobus properly.”
I remembered that I hadn’t thanked Ourobus yet, who had stopped Iam from going out of control by putting himself in harm’s way.
“Ourobus, thank you so much.”
“M-Master is thanking me!! W-What a great honor. I’m so glad Master is my Master!”
“Haha…”
I couldn’t help but smile wryly at Ourobus’s usual antics.
