"Alright, let's start the special training to learn wind magic."

After clearing up Nene's misunderstanding and escorting her home, I said this at our usual meadow.

"So, Master, what exactly are we going to do?"

"Right, I haven't properly explained it to Focalor yet."

So, I began to explain:

I can't use natural magic, which is usually manifested by controlling spirits.

I learned fire and water magic using spirit summoning.

"I see, indeed, with that method, Master can learn wind magic... But..."

Focalor frowned, as if there was some concern.

"Is there something you're worried about?"

"Well, you see... Master has already summoned two demons, right?"

"Yeah, but so what?"

"It might be an unnecessary worry, but summoning more than three demons could be a burden on Master's body. You see—"

According to Focalor, the magic power flowing through the body is independent on the right and left sides.

To be more precise, they are not completely independent, but that's a long story, so I'll skip it.

In any case, with two demons summoned, the right and left sides can handle their respective roles, so there's no problem.

However, with three or more, the theory doesn't apply, and the burden on the body becomes significant.

"But, I think Master Norman will be fine."

Closel interjected.

"Why are you so sure about that?"

Focalor pouted, clearly unhappy with the counterargument.

"Because Master Norman summoned all of me and survived unharmed."

"Such a thing..."

Focalor's eyes widened as if she couldn't believe it.

"In that case, I think Master will be fine..."

Focalor nodded, seemingly convinced.

"Then, let's get started."

First, I prepared the magic circle for the summoning ritual and placed the grimoire 'Goetia' on top to connect me and Focalor.

Then I began the incantation.

"---I command you, by the name of Norman, to swiftly enter my body. Fulfill me with your knowledge and power. Accomplish all my wishes within the limits of your authority. Come forth—41st, Focalor!"

I won't make the same mistake as before, where I absorbed all of Closel.

I focused on summoning only one percent of Focalor.

"Ugh..."

Something foreign entered my body.

It was painful, but I tried to calmly concentrate on gathering a part of it in one place inside my body.

"Did it work...?"

A new sigil was engraved on the back of my left palm, under Iam's sigil.

"---Rise, wind!"

A magic circle appeared above my left hand, and wind began to rise.

It worked.

"Congratulations, Master."

"Indeed, well done, Master."

Closel and Focalor praised me.

"Thank you, both of you."

After that, we started the wind magic training.

Thanks to the training I had already done with fire and water magic, I was able to control the wind to a certain extent without much difficulty.

In the middle of this,

"Master, are you familiar with the combined magic of fire and wind?"

Focalor asked.

I remembered learning about it in Mr. Ludon's class.

"I think it's called explosion magic."

"Indeed, you know about it."

Explosion magic.

A magic that can be controlled by combining fire and wind.

It has a greater impact compared to fire magic alone, making it easier to damage enemies.

However, if not controlled properly, there's a risk of being caught in the explosion.

In any case, I decided to give it a try.

"---Explode!"

Suddenly, two magic circles appeared around my left hand.

And then—

"Ah!"

I couldn't help but cry out.

A small explosion occurred, enveloping my left hand.

Typically, a mage can control the starting point of the magic to some extent, but in my case, the sigil's influence makes the starting point always the hand with the sigil.

That's why, this time, the explosion started from my left hand.

Naturally, my left hand, caught in the explosion, was in a terrible state.

"Ugh..."

Despite being watched by Closel and Focalor, I couldn't help but shed tears.

It was incredibly painful.
