Chapter 46

So, Clozel, Varak, and I, the three of us, were riding in a carriage to head to the lower town.

According to Varak, Orobos is supposed to be in the lower town.

Inside the carriage, Clozel and Varak were chatting amicably.

It seemed to be about demons in the demon world, which I couldn't understand at all.

I felt like an outsider.

"Hmm, I feel like there are traces of that demon Orobos around here?"

The place we came to with Varak was a building where the Adventurer's Guild is located, which I had visited once before.

"Is Orobos inside?"

"Hmm, I'm not sure about that. But there should be some clues."

We immediately went inside.

Just like the last time I came, there were big, burly men drinking and making a ruckus even in the middle of the day.

I looked around but couldn't see Orobos.

Thinking I might get some information, I headed to the counter where the receptionist was.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for someone named Orobos. Do you know him?"

"Orobos? I've heard of him."

The receptionist furrowed her brow and thought for a moment.

"Wasn't Orobos here the other day?"

The receptionist asked the adventurers who were drinking.

"Yeah, he was here."

"He was a big drinker. I think he was crying, saying he couldn't face his master."

"He said he didn't know the way home, too."

"What happened to him in the end?"

It seems Orobos was definitely here.

However, it didn't look like we would get any more clues.

"What are you looking at, Varak?"

I noticed Varak was staring at something intently.

His gaze was fixed on a bulletin board with many request letters.

"I feel like if we chase this monster, we'll find Orobos."

Varak pointed to one of the request letters.

"Request to slay the Lava Rock Dragon. Reward: 1,000,000 Eir."

"1,000,000 Eir?"

I was surprised by the large reward.

Looking at the other request letters, none of them had such a high reward.

It must be a very difficult task.

"Will chasing this monster lead us to Orobos?"

"Yep, that's right!"

Varak nodded.

So, the three of us decided to chase the Lava Rock Dragon.
