In the subsequent meeting, the fate of Sumeragi Ouchou was discussed, and as a result he was demoted to the lower rank of Sakurabito.
The evaluation was done on the basis of his ability, contribution, attitude as well as other things, and Sumeragi was deemed incapable of being an Ouchou from all aspects.
There was a clear difference between ranks above and below Sakurabito.
The standard capacity of Sakurabito was 12-20 people. The capacity increased with increase in capable members, but the number of Ouchous was clearly set.
From all this, it was judged that Sumeragi’s promotion was passed too hastily, and the meeting adjourned with that. To begin with, he was only selected as a result of factional struggles, and the meeting ended with that result.
“Ritsu. Workday is up now. Now ya’ can head to the dojo, or even visit the town. Also take this. Go quickly if you can.”
Ryugen handed a letter over to Ritsu.
“Thanks. What is it?”
“It has your friend’s address on it. Also, take the card and the Ousei crest. There should be some on the 10th floor.”
After looking down for a bit, Ryugen climbed the stairs.
(My friend?)
Ritsu followed after Ryugen, while making a confused expression.
“I shall guide you till the 10th floor.”
Igarashi went one step ahead of Ritsu and started walking.
“This is the crest of an Ousei. Take care not to use it irresponsibly. Particularly, Ritsu-kun is still a relatively unknown Ousei. There are certain advantages to not having your face known. You should move accordingly.”
Igarashi brought out an ID card like thing with black sakura petals attached to it, a black ring, a necklace and other ornaments which he handed to Ritsu.
“The ornaments have the crest engraved into them, so that when they are called, they light up and exert a little magic. If you have time, I could engrave it in your clothes or sword instead, so how about it?”
Igarashi suggested engraving the crest if Ritsu had the time, while displaying all the ornaments.
“In that case, I would like to do that. Is my sword okay?”
Ritsu took the card, as he replied.
“Got it, then let’s go. There’s a window on the 6th floor.”
Igarashi started walking as he said that.
“We engrave crests here. This person is Tsukimi-san, our carver.”
Igarashi passed through the window, entering inside, and talking to the person there.
“Hello, I’m Tsukimi.”
The woman named Tsukimi, stood up and greeted me.
“I am Yozakura Ritsu. I hope to rely on your services today.”
“Yes. If it’s related to carving, leave it to me. Will it be one sword?”
Tsukimi showed a nice smile, as she looked towards Ritsu’s sword.
“That said, to think Igarashi Ousei himself would guide someone here. Which rank’s crest will I be carving?”
Tsukimi asked Igarashi.
“Please engrave the crest of Ousei.”
Igarashi told Tsukimi while laughing bitterly.
“Ara, an Ousei. How rude of me~”
Tsukimi looked towards Ritsu and bowed lightly.
“Please, don’t be so formal.”
“Many thanks. I’ll finish engraving this in no time.”
Tsukimi took Ritsu’s sword from him, put it on her counter, and started working on it.
“It is done. Please bring it back again in three months, as magical power peels off easily at first.”
Tsukimi handed over Ritsu’s sword with a business smile on her face.
“Got it. Thank you very much.”
Ritsu and Igarashi waved at her, before leaving the place.
“That’s all the work for today. We’ll be parting ways here.”
Igarashi climbed up the stairs after saying that.
“Now then, since I don’t have anything left, I guess I’ll go meet this friend(?) of mine.”
Muttering to himself, Ritsu walked to the address written on the letter he’d received.
