From inside Ritsu’s shadow, crawled out the halberd he just bought.

When the goblin spotted Ritsu, it charged at him while running abnormally, as it screamed.

Ritsu took a step back, and dodged its attack while jamming the halberd in front of the goblin’s foot to trip it.

“Sorry if it seems like I’m picking on you.”

Ritsu swung the halberd down in an arc, and ended the goblin’s life.

“It seems there’s nothing but goblins on this floor.”

Ritsu muttered, as he confronted 5 goblins that appeared in front of him one-by-one.

“GUGYAAAA!”

The goblins that charged him all at once, get ripped apart by the halberd swung at high-speeds and die.

“In the previous world, I would never have been able to buy a halberd at that price…”

Ritsu looked over his halberd satisfactorily, and kept it back in his shadow.

“I’ll have to see with my own hands, what’s the status-level I can face-off against equally.”

Covering himself in stronger Ki, Ritsu headed down the next floor.

“That’s too strong I guess.”

Ritsu’s fist- strongly bound in Ki, had blown apart the entire upper body of a monster, which collapsed to the ground like a robot without electricity.

Ritsu was getting a sense of the labyrinth using its monsters as test subjects. Confirming his opponent’s status, he would find the perfect amount of Ki to match that status level, and repeat this multiple times.

“If I add too much Ki, it results in a splatter. I better be careful during training…”

(Outside the sanctuary, I didn’t really think of anything other than defeating my enemies…)

Ritsu sighed, and continued his descent to lower levels.

“This should be around the 10th floor, right?”

(I’m seeing fewer people as well, might as well start researching my techniques.)

Ritsu took out all the needles from his shadow, carefully basked them in Ki, and used [Azure]’s power to make them float and control their movement.

“If I mixed them among the cherry-blossom petals while attacking, it would greatly increase the lethality… I suppose the biggest problem here would be controlling them at greater distances.”

“Oh, there’s one.”

Ritsu started grinning, and pointed the floating needles towards his enemy.

This time, the opponent observed Ritsu, and began strengthening itself using magic.

“You did something didn’t you? The air around here just changed.”

The Regenerate-Goblin charged at Ritsu, but in return, had its arm chopped off by Ritsu’s sword, and had its brain pierced with the needles.

“Nothing special after all, huh?”

The moment Ritsu uttered those words, the Regenerate-Goblin’s arm started growing back; and from the severed arm itself, another torso started growing, resulting in the formation of two bodies.

Bringing back his needles, Ritsu brought out the cherry-blossom petals from his shadow.

The petals swirled around Ritsu at high speeds.

“To start with, a small check.”

The size of the cherry blossom hemisphere expanded, and swallowed the two Regenerate-Goblins.

Without getting the chance to scream in terror, the goblins which now resembled honeycombs, simply fell to the ground.

“If it were a normal goblin, it would have turned into goop. I guess that’s high-ranking species for you.”

“Gugya, ga.”

The goblins rose again, as steam started rising from the wounds on their bodies, while their limbs grew into more Regenerate-Goblins.

“Pretty tough, but the finer bits don’t regenerate. I don’t think it’ll revive again if I turned it into liquid.”

The petals that were randomly floating in the air, gathered around the main body of the goblin, and gradually shaped a large cherry-blossom around it.

(It looks like the goblins are growing from the centre of the petals.)

“[Chi-zome Zakura].” (Blood-soaked Cherry Blossoms)

The giant cherry-blossom closed, as if to trap the goblin inside it. Inside the closed flower, individual petals worked as a mixer to shred the goblin into pieces.

After a while, the flower opened with its insides dyed red.

“I guess it’s defeated now. You guys are next, you know?”

Ritsu laughed at the proliferated goblins.

“[Chi-zome Zakura].”
