Chapter 55

"Alright! I plan to choose this flying sword!" Xiao Yue stopped and pointed to a flying sword on the shelf that resembled a blue butterfly.

Su Shier looked over and saw that it was an exquisite magical flying sword. The deep blue sword shimmered with dazzling magical light, and its shape resembled a butterfly, with the words "Butterfly Dance" engraved on the hilt.

He subconsciously activated the Heavenly Eye technique, and a hint of rainbow light flashed in his peripheral vision. He quickly looked at another rainbow-colored flying sword nearby.

The flying sword was less than a foot long and was also an exquisite flying sword, with the words "Surprised Rainbow" engraved on the hilt. It looked dull and lacked any brilliance.

However, from this sword, he saw a faint trace of spiritual essence. He had only seen this spiritual essence on the lower-grade spiritual weapon, the Purple Thunder Sword, at Tianhua Peak.

Although he didn't understand the art of forging, he knew that the main difference between a spiritual weapon and a magical weapon was the presence of spiritual essence, which made it highly spiritual.

A magical weapon with spiritual essence, in his view, would certainly not be too bad.

This sword, with its contained spiritual energy, had a much higher spiritual essence content and fluctuation compared to the Butterfly Dance sword.

"Senior Sister, if you want a magical flying sword, I suggest you choose this one." Su Shier pointed to the rainbow-colored flying sword.

"Hmm? Surprised Rainbow? What's special about this sword?" Xiao Yue also looked at the rainbow-colored flying sword, examining it for a long time but didn't see anything different.

"Just a feeling! I just mentioned it casually, Senior Sister, don't take it too seriously!" Su Shier smiled and shook his head, not explaining much.

"Casually? You found so many treasures in the trial, which shows you have good fortune. Let's go with this one then!"

Xiao Yue blinked, quickly glanced at Su Shier, and then smiled, picking up the Surprised Rainbow sword. "After all, they are both exquisite magical weapons, so they can't be too different."

"What about you? Have you decided?"

"Almost!" Su Shier spoke while using the Heavenly Eye technique to scan the entire room again.

Suddenly, his pupils constricted, and he quickly walked to a shelf in the corner, crouched down, and pulled out a dusty tray from the bottom corner of the shelf.

"Hmm? What is this?" Xiao Yue followed and saw a dirty tray, which made her pause.

"Not sure yet, we need to check!" Su Shier said while wiping off the dust.

Soon, the true appearance of the tray was revealed.

The tray held five dull, fist-sized beads of different colors, each about the size of a baby's fist.

These five beads looked ordinary and unremarkable.

"These five beads don't even seem to be mid-grade magical weapons, do you know what they do?" Xiao Yue frowned and asked.

Su Shier shook his head and honestly said, "I don't know, it's my first time seeing them!"

"Are you going to choose this? I suggest you pick an exquisite magical weapon instead!" Xiao Yue was surprised by Su Shier's lack of intention to put them down and hesitated before suggesting.

"No need, I'll choose this! It might be a good thing!" Su Shier smiled and held the five beads as if they were treasures.

With the Heavenly Eye technique, he could clearly see that each of the five beads contained a faint trace of spiritual essence. Although not much, it was still several times more than the Surprised Rainbow sword in Xiao Yue's hand.

Even without knowing their use, he couldn't miss such a treasure.

"Alright, let's go down then!" Xiao Yue was puzzled but didn't say more when she saw Su Shier's determined attitude.

The two walked together and soon returned to the entrance of the first floor.

"So fast? You've already chosen?" The elder in charge smiled when he saw them come down.

"Yes!" Xiao Yue greeted with a smile.

"From your expression, it seems you've had a good harvest. Come, let me see what you've chosen." The elder said kindly.

"Grand Elder, please take a look!" Xiao Yue smiled and handed over the flying sword.

The elder's pupils constricted, and his eyes narrowed. "You little girl, your eyes are sharp, worthy of being the peak master's granddaughter!"

"Ah? What's special about this sword?" Xiao Yue was surprised and quickly asked.

"Of course, this sword is not an ordinary exquisite magical weapon, but a quasi-spiritual weapon!" The elder said calmly.

"Quasi-spiritual weapon?" Xiao Yue was shocked and immediately looked at Su Shier.

This sword looked rather plain, and if it weren't for Su Shier's suggestion, she might not have chosen it.

Seeing Su Shier staring at the elder with wide eyes, she couldn't help but wonder: Could it be... just his good luck?

"Indeed, this sword is called Surprised Rainbow! It is made from special materials and has a unique forging process. It is forged using second-grade spiritual materials, Yin-Yang Dual Iron, which has extreme properties, in a place of extreme Yin and Yang, absorbing the essence of the sun and moon for forty-nine days." The elder's smile faded, and he explained seriously.

Xiao Yue was surprised again and asked, "The forging process of this sword is so complex?!"

"Of course! This sword was originally intended to be a spiritual weapon, but unfortunately, on the day it was completed, there was a thunderstorm, missing the right time, and thus it only became an exquisite magical weapon."

"However, if fully activated, this sword can unleash three attacks with the power of a spiritual weapon. But after three attacks, the sword will be unable to withstand the powerful energy and will self-destruct, like a fleeting glimpse of a rainbow. Therefore, the swordsmith named it Surprised Rainbow!"

The elder smiled and explained, running his hand over the sword to remove the spiritual energy mark on the Surprised Rainbow sword.

"I see, I didn't expect such a story behind this sword." Xiao Yue nodded, her face beaming with happiness.

Three attacks with the power of a spiritual weapon were incredibly impressive. In a critical moment, it could save her life, so how could she not be happy?

She quickly turned her gaze to the five beads in Su Shier's hand, "Grand Elder, what are these beads for?"

Beside her, Su Shier hurriedly handed over the beads, looking curiously at the elder, "Elder, these are the treasures I chose!"

The story of the Surprised Rainbow sword surprised him, especially the three attacks with the power of a spiritual weapon, which made him somewhat envious.

This also confirmed his belief that magical weapons with spiritual essence were indeed not simple.

At this moment, he was particularly curious about the function of these beads.

"Hmm? Five Elemental Spirit Beads?!" The elder's gaze paused, and he immediately called out the name of the treasure.

He then glanced at Su Shier with a slightly surprised look, "You have good luck, but you can only choose one of these five spirit beads."

"One?!" Su Shier was surprised.

Xiao Yue also asked, "Grand Elder, what are these Five Elemental Spirit Beads for? Why can only one be chosen?"
