"Your Highness, I was told that today is just for the initial meeting..."
Diana, the lady-in-waiting who was accompanying Letizia, interjected hesitantly.
"Yes, I understand. I want to keep Letizia around because we get along well."
Prince Felis and I get along well!
That's great!
Letizia was also surprised to hear this.
Meeting the handsome prince in the spring garden for tea sounds appealing, but I was starting to feel a bit disappointed about the sudden change of plans.
"Is there something, Princess, that you have planned for later? If so, I can invite you another time."
"No, not really. I was just concerned that the princess might be tired."
"Thank you for your concern. I feel fine, and I would like to have tea with Your Highness."
I haven't heard of any other plans besides the meeting with Prince Felis today.
If it's allowed, I would like to spend more time with my future husband and talk to him.
Oh, by the way, in this situation, the other party is my official fiancé, and having tea afterward is a classic pick-up line in my homeland, Japan.
If this were a scene from a drama about an arranged marriage, it might end with the young couple (both of whom are too young) having a pleasant conversation.
"See, we get along well."
Felis smiled with a mischievous, boyish gleam in his blue eyes, as if celebrating the success of his prank.
"Felis, don't trouble the princess on the first day with your whims. You'll be spending a long time together, so there's no need to rush."
The attendant to Prince Felis interjected gently, as if advising his master.
This was probably more for the benefit of Letizia's lady-in-waiting, who looked confused by the irregular situation.
"Am I troubling you, Letizia?"
"No."
Actually, I'm quite happy.
We get along well.
Being told this on our first meeting is a first for me, regardless of gender.
I'm happy.
I'm really happy, and even if it's a compliment, it's more than enough to make me happy.
"Your words make me very happy, Prince Felis."
I can't smile as beautifully as Prince Felis, but...
The small Letizia looked up at her tall fiancé with her best smile.
