Chapter 6: 6. My Junior Brother Is Truly Too Rash

Lei Jun's eyes flickered as he read the fortune.

Staying put, making no mistakes, not seeking merit but avoiding fault, the result would be peaceful, with no benefits but also no danger.

Actively going out to search and capture, however, might lead to two outcomes: a middle to upper good fortune and a very bad fortune, one auspicious and one ominous?

"That Daoist child, though outstanding, has managed to escape for so long despite so many people searching for him. There might be other hidden circumstances."

The young Daoist who advocated sticking to their original duties was still trying to persuade: "Junior Brother, before the situation becomes clear, we should remain unchanged to cope with all changes..."

The young Daoist shook his head: "I also suspect that someone else might be helping that little thief. That's why we need to quickly uncover the truth!"

He made up his mind and decided to split the forces into two groups.

Though young, he was exceptionally talented and highly regarded by his seniors.

The young Daoist had entered the sect earlier, but he was not a direct disciple of the same master, so he couldn't overrule the young Daoist's decision.

Beside Lei Jun, several Daoist children from the Sixth Division were somewhat hesitant.

They were eager to follow the young Daoist and take the initiative, as this would give them a greater chance to earn merit.

But the shadow of the explosion at Elder Du's altar a few months ago had not yet faded.

The Daoist child surnamed Zhang, who had been seriously injured and only recently recovered, still felt fear when he thought about his initial enthusiasm.

Everyone was pondering whether they should follow Lei Jun's approach from last time...

"Lei Jun is always ready to follow the orders of the senior Daoist."

A tall figure stepped forward first, closely following the young Daoist surnamed Gao.

Those around him were all stunned.

"Brother Lei?"

A small Daoist child whispered, "You said last time, first do your own duties, then consider other things..."

The young Daoist was very pleased, took a few more people, and set off quickly.

队伍在群山间又四处搜索了一阵。

“就在附近了！”

年轻道士话音未落，忽然发现另一个方向，夜幕下，群山间有光辉闪耀，接着便又有雷声响起。

道童院所在的方向……雷俊见状，若有所思。

年轻道士也立刻反应过来：“道童院……调虎离山之计！”

那个被追捕的偷盗者确实有同党，此刻趁着大家集体外出搜山之际，去了相对空虚的道童院，针对其他目标下手。

眼下看起来是被发现了，也不知道他得没得手。

“后面这条才是大鱼，一定要一网打尽！”年轻道士哼了一声。

雷俊：“道长，之前那个小贼，我们快要围住他了。”

年轻道士扫视一圈，取出一张灵符，递给雷俊：“你带着他们继续追先前那个小的，我回去堵那个大的。”

有几个道童动了心思，凑上前想要跟年轻道士一起回去抓大鱼。

“罗道长说的也有道理，局势不明朗，高道长和各位师兄弟多小心……”不等雷俊说完，年轻道士已经雷厉风行转身出发。

雷俊平静回头，看看身边剩下的几个道童：“我们继续，已经追到这一步，总不能放跑起初那个偷盗者。”

年轻道士给他的灵符，乃是一张轰雷符，威力不同凡响。

已经筑基的修行者遇上了，都要小心。

偷东西的道童才一重天炼气期，自然更经受不起。

年轻道士给雷俊灵符时还犹豫了一下，倒不是心疼，而是怕一张轰雷符砸下去，小偷和赃物全被轰没了。

真传就是好，能自己制符……雷俊收好灵符，带着几个道童继续搜山。

“大家扩大搜索范围，但彼此间也不要相距太远，随时招呼。”雷俊说完，当先步入山岭。

搜到一半，忽然远方一阵地动山摇！

剧烈程度堪比先前杜长老法坛爆炸时的大动静。

却不是山下道童院方向。

反而像是从山上传来的。

搜山的小道童们，注意力都被这剧烈震动吸引。

就在这时，忽然有一个黑影从林中窜出，一下就冲到山崖后。

雷俊第一时间察觉，招呼一声的同时立刻追上去。

可惜山岭动荡不平静，淹没了雷俊的呼喊声。

不过雷俊还是很快追上了那个黑影。

对方穿着和他一样的灰袍，做道童打扮，只是此刻脸色苍白，浑身是伤，看起来非常狼狈。

雷俊：“同门一场，我不希望手足相残。”

那偷盗者冷笑：“废话少说，让开！”

话未说完，他便飞起一脚，抢先踢向雷俊咽喉。

雷俊处变不惊，早在开口说话前，体内八个气海就一起鸣动，真气如大河般奔腾。

他不闪不避，抬手一拦。

对方的腿不仅被荡开，整个人更是被震得向后倒飞，人斜在半空中失去平衡。

雷俊这时再上前一步，伸手直接抓向那偷盗者胸腹间。

不料对方胸腹间，忽然微微闪光。

一块类似鳞片模样的乌黑甲片出现，仿佛护心镜一样挡住雷俊的手掌。

以乌黑鳞片为中心，其散发光芒迅速组成一面门板似的大盾，帮那盗贼抵挡攻击。

但盗贼面上血色更少，惨白如纸，极度虚弱。

雷俊没有半点耽搁，另一只手食中二指夹着的黄符，向上一扬：

“急急如律令……”

上空雷声响起，电闪雷鸣。

雷俊手持轰雷符向面前一挥：

“天雷助我！”

“轰！”

顿时一道惊雷劈落！

雷电轰击包围那盗贼，对方胸前乌黑鳞片衍生光盾，抵挡雷霆。

这乌黑鳞片的防御力确实惊人，雷电竟然无法劈开。

但宝物对盗贼的消耗极为巨大。

盗贼没被雷电伤到，但自身却一副油尽灯枯的模样，五官七窍一起流血，仰天跌倒。

他这一失神，乌黑鳞片周围的光辉就低落，光盾散去，只剩鳞片本身失去控制向地面掉落。

雷俊一伸手，将鳞片捞在手里。

那盗贼僵立原地，瞪着雷俊，厉声大喝：

“明明你我才是一样的人！你也不姓李，再为李家拼命，天师之位都轮不到你！”

雷俊：“不管姓李不姓李，你一重天的修为境界掺和进这种事，只会被人当炮灰。”

对方目眦欲裂，但精气神耗尽，就此气绝身亡。
