Chapter 82

Well, it's the Three Rivers recommendation, as usual, I have a few words to say, but to be honest, after this book got the Three Rivers recommendation, I really want to say a few more things.

All the old brothers who have been following Spider know that ever since I stepped into the web literature circle, I have always been writing historical and military novels, from the "Blood and Fire Trilogy" to the "Bayonet Trilogy," and then to "Infinite Military Base."

However, now I have made a transition.

The pain of transitioning, I believe, can only be truly understood by those who have experienced it.

Let me put it this way: if Spider were still writing historical and military novels, once I had an idea for the beginning, I could easily write a few million words, because I know how to write, when to add excitement, and when to develop the story. Writer's block, or being unable to write, is basically non-existent. Updating over ten thousand words a day is common, and updating thirty thousand words a day is something I've done more than once, and all of it was written and posted on the spot.

But once I made the transition, everything changed. Everything had to start from scratch.

When I was preparing for this book, I rewrote it four times, from March to June. Each time, I would tear it down and start over, just to write it well. Each chapter, which is about three thousand words, often took several hours to write, something that was unimaginable before.

There's no other reason; I just want to write this book well.

Currently, the book has 81 chapters and 230,000 words, and my outline has already been detailed up to chapter 200, 600,000 words. It's detailed to what should be written in every ten chapters, how each character should appear, and the upcoming branch plots.

I've never been this serious; Spider has never been this serious. Not for any other reason, just to write this book well.

And there's more I want to say about this book. The two people I want to thank the most are:

First, my editor, Sansheng.

When I started preparing the new book in March, I sent the written chapters to Sansheng multiple times, and Sansheng gave me feedback and suggestions each time. After four drafts, Sansheng read them all and provided feedback, and we finally settled on the current version.

I remember one night, it was almost 12 o'clock, I left a message for him on QQ, and he replied within two minutes. We then discussed the plot and writing style for over an hour.

Meeting a responsible editor is always the luckiest thing for a writer, and Spider is undoubtedly lucky to have met a responsible editor like Sansheng during the transition.

Of course, let me reveal a secret: as a Sichuanese, Sansheng actually doesn't eat spicy food... (I'm sorry, Sansheng, please don't blacklist me...)

Second, I want to thank Aowuchang.

I've talked a lot with Aowuchang about writing, especially about this book, which we've discussed many times. On the way to Xin Chang, we talked about this book for most of the journey. He gave me writing advice, discussed story plots and plot development... Then, on the train back from Hangzhou, he... he actually forced me to outline the book on the train... (PS: The train ticket home was bought by Dancing, and I always remember Dancing's words, 'My brother, if you're going to 'sit' (do), then 'sit' (do) the best.' Yes, I will strive to be a good writer.)

After returning, Aowuchang has kept in touch with me by phone and has been closely following the progress of this book.

Meeting a good friend is also the greatest luck, and Spider is still lucky to have met a platinum writer like Aowuchang, who has given me guidance multiple times during the transition.

Of course, I also want to thank the editor-in-chief of Group Four, Donggua. She's a beauty... and even more rare, she's a great artist, although she drew the handsome and charming Spider as a girl... If Spider weren't married... (I'm sorry, please don't blacklist me, I beg you...)

From the current performance of the book, it's doing well. Spider promises to work hard on the outline and write well for King Ai.

As for missing updates or discontinuing the book, my old readers know that this will never happen to me. Yes, that's right, no excuses, Spider will never give myself an excuse to miss updates.

Alright, after writing this Three Rivers statement, I'll work hard!

In short, this book will be one that Spider will pour all his heart and soul into, just to satisfy the majority of readers.

(PS: If you have a Three Rivers vote, please cast it. Thank you all.)
