Chapter 24: Heartfelt Connection

Weight training is a method Jiao Sang thought of to improve Huayagou's speed.

Speed improvement cannot be separated from explosive power and frequency.

If Huayagou can train to maintain the same level of speed under weight, then when the weight rings are removed, Huayagou's speed will definitely improve significantly.

However, reasonable weight is for training; excessive weight will burden Huayagou's body.

Jiao Sang remembered reading in a fitness magazine in her previous life that the most reasonable weight range at the beginning should be 8% to 20% of one's body weight.

Huayagou's weight is 19 kg, but the weight bead it chose is around 25 kg.

Jiao Sang put down the weight bead and was about to check the weight ring when a store clerk walked over.

"Is there anything you would like to buy? I can recommend something for you."

Jiao Sang did not refuse: "I want to buy weight training equipment for Huayagou."

The clerk smiled: "Then you should use a gravity necklace. The latest OM-8 model from Yongchuang Group can adjust the level based on the pet's pressure tolerance, suitable for both beginner and advanced pets. Your Huayagou can use it for at least 6 years."

So high-tech?

Jiao Sang became interested and asked: "How much does it cost?"

The clerk, sensing a potential sale, replied: "350,000 Alliance Coins. If you get our store membership card, you can get a 5% discount."

Enough to buy three Huayagou...

Jiao Sang silently glanced at Huayagou.

Huayagou looked back at her, confused.

"Never mind, I'll still buy the weight rings," Jiao Sang declined.

The clerk maintained her enthusiastic attitude, picked up a black gravity ring from the shelf, and smiled: "If your Huayagou is just starting to use gravity rings, I suggest this 10 kg gravity ring. The black color looks good with Huayagou."

"Isn't it too heavy?" Jiao Sang asked.

"How could it be? Huayagou can at least bear half its body weight for activities. For fighting-type pets, even several dozen times their own weight is no problem," the clerk replied.

Jiao Sang understood.

This is the era of pet masters; she shouldn't use the scientific basis from her previous life to explain.

Under the clerk's recommendation, Jiao Sang eventually bought three gravity rings: 10 kg, 15 kg, and 20 kg, spending a total of 3,500 Alliance Coins.

Jiao Sang brought Huayagou to a leisure chair in the center of the mall, took out the 10 kg gravity ring, and put it on Huayagou's right front limb.

The size of the gravity ring ranges from 3 cm to 15 cm, with a buckle on the side to adjust the size. The force is distributed throughout the body, so there's no need to worry about the weight concentrating on the right front limb.

"Does it feel okay?" Jiao Sang asked.

Huayagou stared blankly at the virtual screen in the center of the mall, not answering her.

Jiao Sang followed Huayagou's gaze.

When she and Huayagou first came, the virtual screen was showing GG, but now it was playing the grandest event of the Alliance.

The Global Star Alliance Pet Master Cup, also known as the Star Cup.

The Star Cup is a competition where only the top pet masters from four planets can participate, held every three years.

Just on Earth alone, the global population is over 7 billion, and with the populations of the other three planets, it totals over 38 billion.

Selecting the top pet masters from 38 billion people to participate in the Star Cup is not a simple task.

First, one must win at least two national-level competitions within a year, then gain national support to participate in the World Asian Pet Master Alliance Competition.

The top six national competitors in the World Asian Pet Master Alliance Competition must also participate in the World Alliance Pet Master Competition.

Finally, the top six competitors in the World Alliance Pet Master Competition can participate in the final Star Cup.

The screen was showing the Star Cup.

A man with a refined appearance, wearing a white windbreaker, stood next to a giant toad about 60 meters tall.

The giant toad was entirely gray-black, with a solemn expression, wearing a pair of black sunglasses, giving off a cool and mysterious vibe.

The 300,000-seat audience roared with cheers, shouting the names of Lin Ya and the giant toad.

The waves of cheers echoed through the competition venue.

Jiao Sang watched the scene on the screen, feeling her blood boil, and the passion of being a pet master ignited!

As a pet master, isn't the biggest dream to participate in the Star Cup once in a lifetime?

Jiao Sang turned to look at Huayagou, who was still staring at the screen in a daze.

She knew at this moment, she and Huayagou were in perfect sync!

Jiao Sang turned Huayagou's face and said solemnly, "Huayagou, believe me! One day, we will stand there too!"

Huayagou: "???"

It looked at its pet master, confused.

There?

What there?

After being turned by its pet master, Huayagou came to its senses and tried to point at the screen with its paw. It felt something was wrong and realized it had a new item on its paw.

"Ya!"

Huayagou didn't mind, slightly lifted its paw to point at the screen, and then excitedly called out.

Jiao Sang: "..."

"Are you saying you want to buy sunglasses?"

Huayagou nodded excitedly.

"Did you just watch the sunglasses, not the competition?"

"Ya?"

Huayagou tilted its head.

What competition?

Jiao Sang: "..."

To hell with the heartfelt connection!

...

...

Tea Gui Park.

"Ya!"

A burst of hot sparks sprayed out.

Huayagou, wearing black triangular sunglasses, was in high spirits, performing skill training.

Jiao Sang watched from the side.

The triangular sunglasses seemed to be a strange switch. Since wearing them, Huayagou has been in a highly excited state.

It had already released 21 sparks in a row, and its mental state was still abnormally full.

Jiao Sang couldn't help but think it felt like it had taken drugs...

Twenty minutes later, the effect wore off.

Huayagou collapsed on the ground, unable to get up.

Fortunately, there was still plenty of Qiyuan milk left from the morning. As Huayagou drank the Qiyuan milk, Jiao Sang's consciousness entered the Pet Master Codex.

This time, Huayagou released 18 Fire Fangs and 26 Sparks!

Jiao Sang looked at Huayagou, her eyes gleaming, and asked, "What other style of sunglasses do you like?"

"Ya~"

Huayagou's weak call was filled with excitement.

In the end, Jiao Sang ordered six different styles of sunglasses online based on Huayagou's choice.

One for each day of the week, no repeats.

At 15:32 in the afternoon, Huayagou recovered.

This time, Jiao Sang didn't let it overexert itself. After Huayagou released 4 Fire Fangs and 8 Sparks, she stopped it.

The data in the Pet Master Codex also changed.
