By the time they finished their food together with Old Meng, though, the Criminal Police Squad hadn’t finished yet. It was already dark and the young detective was sitting outside on a plastic stool, tall and upright like a small poplar. When he heard the sounds of being greeted, he swept his eyes up, his dark eyes shining like the night sky lit by moonlight.

It was approaching autumn, but the day was getting hotter and hotter. Su Qiuzi ate a lot of hot food, making the sweat pour down her body, so she went home and took a shower. In addition to the hosts, there were other staff members and leaders who would all attend the TV station’s largest auditorium during the celebration, which was decorated like a grand party. With different hosts talking and sharing the stage, everyone really felt like family.

In addition to the program and the party, there were also awards announcements prepared for the evening. After the award list was submitted by various departments, the awards were announced today. There were quite a few awards presented to the hosts in the hosts’ department, with Su Qiuzi and Cai Jiayu competing for the best new host award, though finally, Su Qiuzi took the award.

This award was designed to support new hosts, and the station paid special attention to it, therefore it was the station director who personally presented the award. Seeing Su Qiuzi again, Tang Mingzheng smiled exceedingly friendly.

“Congratulations.” Tang Mingzheng said with a smile.

“Thank you, Station Director.” Su Qiuzi replied.

Taking a joint photo, Tang Mingzheng and Su Qiuzi stepped down from the stage together, he smiled and said there was no need to be too formal, it wasn’t considered a day of work, so it was fine to call him Uncle Tang. Su Qiuzi agreed and called him Uncle Tang.

Before returning to his seat, Tang Mingzheng asked, “Did He Yu go on a business trip in New Zealand recently?”

“Mmm.” Su Qiuzi continued, “He’s been out for a month or so, he’ll be back soon.”

“He’s a busy man, let’s play together when we have time later.” Tang Mingzheng said with a smile and returned to his seat.

After giving a nod, Su Qiuzi also returned to the host’s table. The atmosphere when she just spoke and chatted with Tang Mingzheng was clearly seen by the hosts all around. Now, the suspicions in everyone’s heart were confirmed. Su Qiuzi’s backup was really the station director.
