Su Qiuzi had never experienced any warmth in the Su family, but she was optimistic and positive because she wanted to grow up as fast as she could with her limitations. But that didn’t mean that being told what to do or school violence on weekdays didn’t have an effect on her, it did, but it was concealed deeply by her.

She even tried to commit suicide.

“No.” He Yu smiled shallowly and looked up at her, saying, “What he’s involved in is only half of your life, while what I’m involved in is all of your future life.”

He Yu looked up, and Su Qiuzi met his gaze, in the darkness, she saw a hint of complex emotions flashing in He Yu’s eyes. But this emotion was fleeting, when Su Qiuzi returned to her senses, He Yu was already standing up.

“Let’s set off the Kongming lantern, shall we?” He Yu looked at her.

Obviously, he was trying to take her away from what had just happened, whereupon Su Qiuzi smiled and said, “Sure.”

“While releasing Kong Ming Lantern, you can also make wishes.” He Yu said in a soft voice, “Can I use it to make a wish on your birthday?”

The man’s voice was gentle, caught in the warm autumn breeze that tickled his ears, Su Qiuzi was slightly stunned, nodded, and said, “Then you have to tell me what you’re wishing for.”

He Yu stood up straight, he faced Su Qiuzi, the corners of his lips slightly curved, whispering, “I wish I could make you fall in love with me.”

The fragmented light in the girl’s eyes moved slightly.

“This is my lifelong wish.” He smiled, raised his hand to touch her cheek, and said, “In that case, no one can shoot you in the heart.”
