During one of her rehearsals at noon, Luo Fan had returned from Qiao City and called her, saying he wanted to meet her. She agreed, and the two of them set up a meeting at the cafe downstairs in the TV station.

Luo Fan remained his crew cut hair style, wearing jeans and a pike coat, he was twenty-five years old this year, with handsome and sturdy features, but his eyebrows were full of vicissitudes. When Su Qiuzi arrived, he had already been there, sitting by the window, looking out of it and lost in thought.

Had it been known that his father was murdered, their family would have received a pension from the Su family, his mother would not have had to die, while the course of his life would have been completely different from now.

“Do you want to drink?” Luo Fan asked.

“Americano.” Su Qiuzi replied.

When the waiter brought over the Americano, Su Qiuzi took a sip without adding sugar. Bitterness filled her mouth, and she frowned slightly.

“You used to like to eat sweets.” Said Luo Fan as he watched the girl’s furrowed brow.

Su Qiuzi raised her eyes to look at him and said, “I don’t have time to rest during the day, and I still have to prepare for the rehearsal later.”

“Haven’t slept well lately?” Luo Fan asked.

There were faint dark circles around Su Qiuzi’s brown eyes. Also, with such things happening, the most upset one should be her, she jumped out of one situation and got caught in another one.

Yet she did not nod her head, only saying that she was too busy with work recently. The two chatted idly for a few minutes, before Luo Fan pointed to the direction he was just looking at and said, “We used to go there for fun.”

It was the botanical garden. During the weekend, Su Qiuzi often took Luo Fan there to have fun. The two strolled in the botanical garden from day to night, Luo Fan was a top student, having read many miscellaneous books, he knew almost all the plants there, and Su Qiuzi’s eyes were full of admiration and fondness for him at that time.

However that glow was crushed by her own hands.

“I’m sorry.”

Both spoke in unison, then finally, they looked at each other.

Watching Luo Fan looking at herself, Su Qiuzi pursed her lips and said, “Your father died to accompany my mother to deliver the report, moreover, it was my father who sent someone to murder them, at the same time, your mother jumped to her death because my father had murdered your father.”

His home was ruined because of that one incident.

“None of this has anything to do with you.” Luo Fan said. His parents had left for too long, leaving him with no significant emotional ups and downs when the truth came out. In these matters, the most innocent, the least at fault was Su Qiuzi.

IIn his head, he still remembered every word he said when Su Qiuzi confessed his love to him. He looked at the girl in front of him, resembling a weathered flower, with brown eyes that were gradually dwindling and devoid of its radiance.

“Are you okay after that?” Luo Fan asked hesitantly, back when Su Qiuzi didn’t go to school for three days.

“Hmm?” Su Qiuzi didn’t respond, she fell into a trance when Luo Fan said it specifically, as if she had been oblivious to it, she smiled and said, “It’s fine.”

The lump in his throat moved slightly, Luo Fan looked at her smile, his voice was a little sad as he said, “Actually, at that time, I did like you.”
