Qin Feng leaned back in a rattan chair, his long legs propped up on the table in front of him, flipping through the list of supplies that Scissors had brought over. Xiao Mao stood before him with a fawning smile, looking every bit like a pet cat. However, when he looked up at Scissors, his eyes became unusually sharp. The men of the Death Battalion were used to fighting each other, a camaraderie forged through battles. They would feel uncomfortable if they didn't have a few fights each day. Xiao Mao had been away from the Death Battalion for two years, and he had changed a lot, but the moment he returned, he reverted to his old self, full of fighting spirit as he looked at his former opponents.

Scissors glanced at him sideways, his eyebrows twitching, his eyes full of provocation.

"So, you mean to say that Commander Zuo wants this Yang Zhi to beat me up to vent his anger, and these supplies are officially assigned to me, not taken by force?" Qin Feng slapped the list on the table and squinted at Xiao Mao.

Xiao Mao was now a commandant in the Wind Chasing Battalion, the same rank as Qin Feng. However, years of living under Qin Feng's threats had made him shrink to a mouse whenever he saw Qin Feng, not daring to breathe loudly.

"Yes, that's what Commander Zuo means," Xiao Mao said with a forced smile.

"Xiao Mao, what do you think?" Qin Feng smiled.

Seeing the half-smile on Qin Feng's face, Xiao Mao shivered and straightened his back. "Head Qin, if it's up to Xiao Mao, we should do whatever it takes. That kid dared to challenge us in the Death Battalion, so we should beat him so badly that even his mother wouldn't recognize him, to teach him a lesson."

Scissors chuckled, a sound like a knife grinding on metal, making everyone uncomfortable. "Xiao Mao, you should be clear. You're now a commandant in the Wind Chasing Battalion. Saying 'our Death Battalion' makes people feel uncomfortable."

"Even though I'm in the Wind Chasing Battalion now, my heart is still with the Death Battalion. I'm a soldier trained by Head Qin, and the Death Battalion is my home. Anyone who wants to harm the Death Battalion, I'll fight to the death, no matter what." Xiao Mao spoke with righteous indignation, his words full of confidence and determination.

"Thank you very much." Scissors clapped and laughed. "That kid is in the camp now, and you brought him here. Please go and deal with him."

"This... this..." Xiao Mao was speechless.

"Scissors, Xiao Mao is your senior, why are you being so sarcastic?" Qin Feng stood up. "Xiao Mao is just following orders. Don't forget, we are soldiers, and obeying orders is our duty, right, Xiao Mao?"

"Yes, yes, thank you, Head Qin." Xiao Mao was grateful, but Scissors chuckled again. Hearing Qin Feng say that obeying orders was their duty made him laugh. The Death Battalion had violated countless orders over the years, except for not causing chaos on the battlefield, they were a major problem for the Western Border Army.

"Do you want me to pull out a few of your teeth?" Qin Feng glanced at Scissors, who immediately stopped laughing, his voice choking like a duck whose neck had been grabbed.

"Commander Zuo is being generous for once, just letting me get beaten up by that kid. No problem, as long as he doesn't kill me, I don't mind him hitting me a few times to vent his anger. After all, we are just lowly lives, while Yang Zhi is a noble, a high-born person. Getting beaten by him is actually an honor for us!"

Qin Feng snorted and walked out, Xiao Mao and Scissors quickly following. But after hearing Qin Feng's words, they couldn't help but feel uneasy.

As soon as they stepped out of the tent, Qin Feng saw Shu Fengzi rushing past, his robe flapping in the wind. A soldier beside him looked panicked.

"What's happening?" Qin Feng shouted. "Shu Fengzi, stop!"

Shu Fengzi didn't stop, shouting back as he ran, "Stop your ass, this guy says if I'm late, Wild Dog will be dead."

"What happened to Wild Dog?" Qin Feng was alarmed.

The soldier beside Shu Fengzi stopped and said, "Head Qin, our deputy commandant fought with that pretty boy and was beaten almost to death. He has more than a dozen wounds, and he's almost out of breath."

Hearing this, the three of them changed their expressions. Scissors stomped his foot and ran forward, Qin Feng's eyes narrowed, and Xiao Mao's face turned pale. Damn, that damn pretty boy, you've caused a big trouble. The Death Battalion was known for sticking together, and if you provoked one, you provoked all. What kind of commander leads what kind of soldiers, Wild Dog's men were a pack of mad dogs who didn't follow any rules. Xiao Mao could already imagine the scene.

"Head Qin!" He looked at Qin Feng pleadingly.

"If Wild Dog dies, that kid won't be going back." Qin Feng smiled at Xiao Mao, who broke out in a cold sweat. Now he wasn't worried about the pretty boy; he was worried about whether he could leave the Death Battalion in one piece. The pretty boy was brought by him, and Head Qin wouldn't make things difficult for him, but Wild Dog's men would really tear him apart.

The two of them rushed to the front camp. Seeing the scene, Xiao Mao gasped. The Death Battalion was still the same as it was two years ago. Hundreds of soldiers stood in formation, their iron knives raised, the two-foot-long blades glinting in the sunlight. Yang Zhi stood in the middle, looking like a frightened white mouse. No matter how skilled a person was, they couldn't fight an army. Even if you were the best martial artist, facing a large army, you could only run. And Yang Zhi probably couldn't even run.

Wild Dog was almost dead, lying in the arms of a monk. Shu Fengzi, who had arrived earlier, was taking out packets of medicine and sprinkling them on the wounds. He then took out a porcelain bottle, poured out a pill, and put it in Wild Dog's mouth.

"Is he dead?" Qin Feng stood behind Shu Fengzi and looked at Wild Dog's pale face.

Wild Dog, who had been silent, suddenly moved and opened his eyes slightly. "Head Qin, I'm not dead yet, I still have a breath. I've disgraced the Death Battalion."

"Good, as long as you're not dead." Qin Feng's face was still stern, but Xiao Mao could see a hint of relief in his eyes. The cold aura that had made him shiver was now warmer. He also breathed a sigh of relief. As long as Wild Dog was alive, the incident could still be considered a martial arts competition. But Yang Zhi's attack was too severe. Looking at Wild Dog's wounds, he had been pierced by flying swords in more than a dozen places. This was not a competition but a humiliation.

"Since he's not dead, why are you still ganging up on him? Aren't you ashamed?" Qin Feng snorted.

"Head Qin, I couldn't beat that bastard, so I admitted defeat. But that bastard cut down our battalion flag." Wild Dog's voice was weak, and his body trembled as he spoke.

Qin Feng turned around sharply, and Xiao Mao followed. They had been so focused on Wild Dog's injuries that they hadn't noticed the battalion flag, which was now just a broken pole, the top part missing.

Qin Feng looked up at the broken pole, and Xiao Mao's face turned green. He cursed Yang Zhi's ancestors. Beating someone was one thing, but cutting down the battalion flag was a huge offense. Even in the Death Battalion's worst battles, when only a few men were left, the flag had never been cut down or taken.

"Xiao Mao, I have a suggestion for you." Qin Feng's voice seemed to come from far away.

Xiao Mao looked up. "Head Qin?"

"Run!" Qin Feng said.

"Run?" Xiao Mao was about to cry, his face twisted as he suddenly turned to Scissors. "Scissors, your mother!"

Scissors blinked, not reacting at first. "What did you say?"

"I said, your mother!" Xiao Mao's voice rose sharply, and he cursed fiercely. "Come on, hit me! I've been annoyed with you for a long time, I've wanted to beat you up."

"Your mother!" Scissors was furious. "You traitor, I'll skin you alive today!" He drew his iron knife and charged at Xiao Mao.

Xiao Mao turned and ran. "Come after me, come after me!"

The two of them, one chasing and one fleeing, quickly disappeared from the scene.

Qin Feng watched their backs, his eyes narrowed. Xiao Mao was always smart, knowing he was in a tight spot and needed to find a way to vent. Scissors would easily win this fight.

He turned to look at Yang Zhi, surrounded by the soldiers, and his cold eyes revealed a hint of killing intent.
