Chapter 11

"Captain, I'm going to... "

"Sally, would you bite my lips next?"

She struggled to free herself from the hand gripping her chin but suddenly stopped. Could he possibly remember? Did he know everything about her?

She needed to prepare for any unforeseen situation. Sally carefully slipped her right hand into her skirt pocket without him noticing.

"What am I saying? Right?"

"Captain!"

Before she could resist, she was pulled up close to his chin.

"You could just bite it."

As Camden's vampire revealed his white teeth in a smile, Sally quickly covered his mouth with her left hand. A struggle ensued as he tried to remove her hand and claim her lips.

Even with her rigorous training, it was impossible to overpower a physically superior military officer with just one hand.

It wasn't time to use her last resort yet. In the end, she had to pull out her right hand, which was holding the last resort in her pocket, and join the fight.

As she tried to stab his eyes, her wrist was grabbed. Winston wrapped his arm around Sally's waist and lifted her.

The moment her airborne body was placed on something hard, the papers and pen holder neatly arranged on the desk fell to the carpet from her kicking. Her kick aimed at Winston's sternum was strong, but he only winced slightly.

"You fight well. Do you have a brother? Or did you receive some training somewhere?"

Sally froze as she tried to twist her ankle free from his grip. If she fought, her true identity would be exposed. If she didn't fight, she would be forced to have physical contact with that dirty royal pig.

Sally's breathing was heavy as she searched for a way out in her confused mind. When she stopped resisting, Winston pushed a few strands of hair that had fallen over his forehead back and smiled. Despite his calm demeanor, his body was more aroused, evident from the bulge in his pants.

"I'm still curious. What can we do together?"

"Captain, please let me go."

"Why? Oh, right."

Winston took Sally's firm refusal lightly. His clean hand delved into his officer's jacket and pulled out a black object, placing it on Sally's chest as she lay on the desk.

"I'm the type who repays as surely as I take revenge."

What he gave her was a heavy wallet full of banknotes. He despised women who spread their legs for money. So why was he forcing her to do so by giving her money?

I hope his test isn't over yet...

"Captain, look at what I was like during the day. I have someone to marry. I don't want to betray him."

Ignoring Sally's pleading, Winston's hand suddenly slipped into her skirt, which had been pulled up over her knees.

"Sally, the more you say that, the more aroused I get. Don't you know men? Or do you know them too well?"

"Captain! Stop it!"

Just as she was about to kick his groin, his hand, which had been exploring her thigh, suddenly grabbed something, causing Sally to freeze in fear. The light smile on Winston's face vanished instantly.

"What is this...?"

The object embedded under the band of her right stocking was quickly pulled out. As the silver revolver revealed its barrel from under her black skirt, Sally's heart raced.

Stay calm. I need to stay calm.

As Sally slowly raised her upper body, Winston held the revolver in front of his eyes. His cold gaze, which had been on the absurdly small gun, shifted to Sally's face.

"What is this, I asked."

A gun. If I act foolishly, his already thin patience might run out today. After he loses his mind, Sally's fate would be unknown even to Winston.

"It was given to me by my fiancé."

"Your fiancé gave you a prohibited item."

Since the restoration of the monarchy, civilians were not allowed to possess firearms unless they had special permission from the police or the military. This was due to the fear of a second rebellion.

"What does he do? Is he a thug from the back alleys?"

"He's not. He's a good man."

Half-truth, half-act. Winston's smooth brow furrowed slightly when she defended her fiancé.

"He said it was dangerous for me to work in the torture chamber, so he got it for me with great difficulty. I know it's a prohibited item, Captain. But... "

"Dangerous? Sally, no one will touch you in this mansion. I've made sure of that."

You're the one touching me.

She swallowed the words that rose to the tip of her tongue. Winston's right hand, which had been inside her bloomers, still lightly held her skin.

"You're the only one brave enough to defy my orders."

Was he talking about her entering the torture chamber alone during the day? Winston smiled, but his eyes didn't.

"I'm sorry."

Sally lowered her gaze and bowed her head like a meek lamb. Until the withdrawal order came from headquarters, she needed to act like a meek lamb, blending in so no one would notice her.

As his thumb, buried in her bloomers, caressed the inside of her thigh, Sally flinched.

Was he about to pounce again? He was the type who would use the illegal weapon as an excuse to threaten her. Or, he was the type who would pounce without an excuse.

She glanced up at him, but his gaze was fixed on the revolver.

Soon, his five fingertips, which had left a hot trail on her bare skin, slipped out and onto her stocking. But it was too early to relax.

Winston examined the revolver with a sharp eye. He opened the cylinder, checked the bullets, and noticed that the serial number between the cylinder and the barrel had been erased, causing him to smirk. Sally's heart beat even faster.

"Have you ever fired it?"

He knew. He had handled countless firearms. He would immediately know that this revolver was well-maintained. If she said she hadn't fired it, that she only carried it because her fiancé gave it to her, he would know it was a lie.

"A couple of times... just for fun, like shooting cans..."

"And?"

"A month ago, I encountered a robber in the city..."

"Did you hit him?"

"Yes..."

Winston burst into laughter, finding it amusing.

"Me?"

"Yes?"

"Did you try to shoot me?"

Sally stared at his cruelly playful eyes and slowly, resolutely nodded. She knew he would see through a lie.

"Hah..."

Winston laughed again, but it was different from before. The hint of embarrassment in his voice was evident as he bit his lower lip.

"Me? That's amusing."

The cylinder clicked shut. His tone, though mocking, still carried a faint hint of embarrassment.

"You would have died."

"...Yes."

"I don't intend to kill you."

Sally tried to compose her face, which was about to turn grim.

He would rape her but let her live. Should she thank him? Was he expecting an apology for trying to kill her master, who only wanted her body?

"I find it amusing, but you don't?"

Winston's eyes and mouth drooped. If someone didn't know what he was capable of, they might think his tidy face, now looking like a dejected puppy, suited him.

Since he wasn't expecting an answer, Sally kept her mouth shut and stared at him, only trying to find a way to escape.

"This could be amusing to play with."

He raised the revolver's barrel and waved it in the air.

"It's too small. Well, you're small too."

His incomprehensible words continued, but her instincts screamed. He was about to do something dangerous.

"Captain..."

Sally clenched her crumpled apron with both hands and sniffled. She had to do something, even if it was a desperate move. Soon, tears began to fall from her white knuckles.

"Are you crying again?"

Winston's voice was clearly exasperated.

"Am I being kicked out now?"

As she deliberately distorted her face and looked up, Winston's brow furrowed. The hand holding the revolver began to lower.

It worked.

Her mother had said that the tear tactic wouldn't work if used too often. But it depended on how one defined "working."

"Kicked, out, then, no, can't, do, that."

Wiping her tears with her sleeve, she noticed that the bulge in Winston's pants was subsiding. Sally sobbed even louder.

"Captain, sniff, sniff..."

Boring.

Leon looked at the woman sobbing like a child with a cold gaze and sighed in annoyance. Her disheveled clothes and legs dangling helplessly from the edge of the desk no longer looked provocative.

You need to keep biting me until the end.

A cornered mouse should pounce and bite the cat to make it interesting. Losing all spirit and crying like a baby only killed the mood.

He should have pounced when she boldly confessed to trying to kill him. Teasing her only made the atmosphere cool down.

"Go."

The moment he gave the curt order, the woman, who had been buried in her sleeve, lifted her face. Her round eyes, red from crying, and her trembling nose from sniffing made her look like a mouse that had spotted an opportunity.

Go. Run away from me.

Leon quietly licked his lips like a cat about to pounce on its prey.
