Peijin was thrown away by He Xun’s compliment, so He Xun had felt she was so good-looking.

He Xun let go of the hand he had been holding Peijin’s chin by, slowly straightening up, dipping his head and directly looking into Peijin’s eyes, watching her expression.

He spoke a bit slowly, “Right, recently…. I’ve fallen for a girl… I want to pursue her.”

Fallen for a girl? Want to pursue her?

Peijin blankly looked up at He Xun.

The He Xun before her, was still handsome and cool as always. With his tall and lean body, a distinguished class that set him apart from everyone else, and a rather unruly air about him. However maybe because that girl had been mentioned, his eyes held a bit of a gentle smile.

Peijin could read the adoration from He Xun’s eyes. He actually….liked that girl so much?

Just a while ago, she had even told a stranger, she thought her Big Demon King roommate had been strange as of late, as if he liked her. She consequently felt somewhat annoyed. She had thought so just earlier and now He Xun had immediately broken her fantasy.

After knowing He Xun liked a girl, Peijin felt a bit relieved and then despondent.

She didn’t ask who that girl was. She lightly patted her face and attempted to cheer up, “That’s great, Brother Xun, you’ve already been single for so many years, so it’s pretty good for you to have someone you like.”

He Xun smirked, “I think so as well.”

Ai (Sigh), why did she feel more and more despondent when hearing He Xun say this? Was it because He Xun wouldn’t need her, this brother, in the future? It must be so. After dating, who has that much time to hang out with their brothers? They certainly had to spend that time with their own girlfriend.

By then she would appear as a third wheel.

A slight look of worry slipped from He Xun. “But I don’t have any experience pursuing girls, and I don’t know what they may like. Can you give me some advice?”

Peijin stared down at the tips of her toes, her tone downcast, “But….with these sorts of things, I’m actually not very experienced either.”

“That’s alright, you can just give me some suggestions, like, tell me, before you transferred schools, what things did the girls in your class like?”

What did the girls around her like?

“Chocolates, milk tea, roses, music boxes, dolls, as a matter of fact, everyone’s preferences are different.”

“Ah…then what do you like?”

“Me?” Peijin almost thought she had heard wrong, wasn’t He Xun asking what girls liked? Why was he asking her what she liked as well?

“When I’m buying gifts for her, I’ll buy you something for you while I’m passing by.” After, He Xun smiled, “We are good brothers after all, right? Relax, I won’t forget you.”

Peijin sighed in her heart. This brother she was, had become a side thought…… However, she should feel content that He Xun still, at the very least, remembers her right now. Later on, it wasn’t clear if it would even be her place to receive a gift of convenience.

Thinking so, Peijin tried to raise her spirits, replying, “I’m not picky, I like everything, even if I get a bag of cotton candy, I’ll be really satisfied.”

He Xun’s eyes drooped down as he smiled, “Alright, I got it.”

Today, the buns that Peijin had bought on the internet the other day had arrived, and because it was via same-city express, the rate at which it had been delivered was very fast.

She went to the Dorm (1) Uncle to get her express delivery, and then when she came into the room holding a small box. She had been afraid that He Xun would ask. However unexpectedly, He Xun seemed to entirely not take notice of the express delivery she bought, and didn’t ask any further questions.

(1) Janitor/Building Management Uncle would be another way to say this, essentially it is similar to Dorm Aunties, who are people hired to manage the dorms/buildings.

Peijin couldn’t help but think, sure enough, after He Xun had a girl he liked, he didn’t pay any attention to this roommate of his.

If it were before, He Xun would definitely more or less say something in question. However, now, he didn’t say anything.

Peijin felt that people truly were easily fickle, when they had something they always felt troubled by it, once it was gone, they would still be unhappy. In the past she was hung up about how to answer He Xun if he said something, but now as He Xun didn’t say anything, she felt that something was missing in her life.

She put the little box in her closet, planning to open it when needed.

After arriving at class the following day, right as He Xun just sat down, Zheng Li hurriedly came up to him. He asked with a sly look, “What naughty things did your nerd and you go do yesterday?”

He Xun found a comfortable position to sit at, “Nothing naughty.”

Zheng Li clearly didn’t believe this worded phrase, he purposefully winked at him, his tone secretive, “Didn’t do anything, so you two left class fifteen minutes early at the same time?” He didn’t believe that the two hadn’t done anything!

He Xun gave a low laugh. Doing nothing yesterday, didn’t mean that they wouldn’t do anything in the future.

After he saw Peijin leave class yesterday, he immediately left as well, close on her heels. While they were on the same bus, the space between both of them had even been separated by a distance of three to four people.

But maybe as that little fool had something on their mind, they completely didn’t notice him. However once they arrived at the supermarket, he had been stopped by the supermarket’s manager. The opposite party had thought he was here to visit, and eagerly said they wanted to show him around. He had been stalled for a while, so he had lost track of them.

But thankfully in the end, he still had gotten what he had wanted to know.

He Xun rubbed his jaw, his peach-blossom eyes curving up, “Let me tell you something.”

Zheng Li had assumed that He Xun wanted to talk about something private and hurriedly whispered, “Say it, the first time, how did it feel?” Finished speaking, Zheng Li snickered, appearing to be very much a gossip.

He Xun stopped smiling, “Zheng Li, the fuck is your mind going?”

Zheng Li immediately lost most of his interest, turns out the topic He Xun wanted to talk about wasn’t like he had thought it was. He slumped down dejectedly, looking uninterested, “Bro, say it, I’ll listen.”

He Xun lowered his voice, “She’s a girl.”

Zheng Li’s just vanished interest completely returned at once, “Girl? You’re saying your nerd, is a girl?”

He Xun gave a “m’hm”.

Zheng Li incredulously asked again in reply, “She really is a girl?”

He Xun said with absolute certainty, “Yes.”

The day before, Peijin had strolled especially long around the pad aisle, and because she had seen him afterwards, she hadn’t bought any. But after returning to the dorms she had specifically bought pads off the internet and placed them in her closet. These signs all pointed to one direction, she was a girl.

No wonder why she didn’t have stubble and didn’t shave everyday. No wonder why she was short and soft, and had a gentle temper. No wonder why she was so feminine and delicate.

Because she had never been a boy from the start, but a girl.

So, everything that hadn’t made sense before, at present, all had a reasonable explanation.

Seeing He Xun put it this way, Zheng Li knew in his heart that He Xun was already one-hundred percent certain. He didn’t ask He Xun how he had discovered it, He Xun and Peijin were roommates, the two were with each other day and night, it must be easy for him to find any peculiarities.

Zheng Li couldn’t hold back his laugh, “She’s pretty good, for one person to have managed to hide it from us for so long.” The lot of them had been slow enough too, to have always taken them as a boy, and never thinking she was a girl.

He Xun lowly ‘mhm’ed’.

“Ah’Xun, then what are you planning to do? Straight up call out her bluff?”

“Of course not.”

“Then are you going to date them or not?”

“Of course, why wouldn’t I?”

In an all-boy’s high school full of boys, with a girl who was passing off as a boy, wasn’t it interesting to have a “she thinks that he doesn’t know anything, but he actually already knows” relationship?

After the end of today, as soon as Peijin came back to their bedroom, she saw a desk covered with cotton candy. There were all kinds of flavors, strawberry, matcha, chocolate. There was even artisan-crafted, handmade cotton candy in the middle.

Had He Xun bought her all of the cotton candy in the market for her?

Suddenly, Peijin recalled that He Xun had deep pockets, his family even owned the most luxurious supermarket in this city. If she really wanted something, he was able to give it to her.

All of a sudden Peijin was a bit envious of the girl that He Xun liked.

He Xun was so attentive to a roommate like her. She couldn’t even think of how well He Xun would treat that girl he liked.
