Chapter 41 – Wedding Night

Shangguan Yan did not move and her eyes were staring upwards while her ears listened to his indifferent words. After feeling nervous for the whole day, now she feels as though a basin of cold water was poured over her.

Sleep? Is their wedding night going to pass normally just like this?

A surge of anger rose in her heart but when she thought of him being drunk, she realized that even if he wanted to do it, he does not have the energy. When that time comes and nothing comes to fruition, then she will only be the one in pain.

“Yes.”

The old woman and the maids cleaned up the bedchamber and left. After a while, the food was delivered and placed in the living hall.

Shangguan Yan was about to leave with Di Jing to have a meal when she accidentally moved her body as she walked and it caused her to hiss.

“What’s the matter?” With concern, he reached out his hands to support her.
