As Di Jing hugged his wife, he stroked her long hair with one hand while his gaze was focused on her delicate and miserable face. At this time, Lord Di was no longer as cold as he normally is during the day. His eyes were shining with a gentle light and only her image was reflected in them.

After Di Jing had changed to his inner garment, he took off his shoes and sat on the bed. After taking the hot towel that his wife handed to him, he used it to wipe his face and then immersed his feet in the basin of hot water before he spoke.

“Perhaps we will know after visiting the crime scene tomorrow to conduct an investigation.”

“Crime scene? What crime?”

Originally, Di Jing was waiting for her to help him scrub his feet. The next day, Di Jing went to the Emperor’s room to discuss for a while and then led the Four Great Constables out to investigate the case. As soon as he stepped out of the house, he saw five people standing in the courtyard. One of them was Ling Wang, Si Liujing and the other four people were Shangguan Yan, Gong Wuhuan, Hua Qianqian, and Bai Yuxiao.
