Chapter 23.2 - Revelry

5 min read1,222 wordsMature

On the day of the Autumn Hunting Festival, the group of beautiful men and women lined up in a row and knelt together. Hua Yi was taken aback by the posture they chose. He didn’t expect that the elder would give him such a big capital.

The Autumn Hunting Festival had been celebrated since ancient times. In the entire content, the grandest in the festival was the revelry–except for the several confidants of the elders who had to prepare to attack and be ready to kill, no one could refrain from joining in.

As soon as night fell, people were no longer people.

Hua Yi was entangled with a man and a woman, and he had to go through the motions. At a glance, he saw Chang An sitting beside the fire, awake but yawning. He didn’t know why, but he couldn’t help but look for his faults.

Hua Yi gently pushed the woman beside him, pointed to Chang An and said, “That’s my xiao xiongdi. He’s so bored. Go sit with him.”

Chang An, hearing his words, turned around and looked at him blankly. The woman was reluctant at first, but when she saw the young man’s face illuminated by the fire, she was stunned. She hurriedly went over.

Chang An didn’t know why the woman was suddenly coming over. Seeing her getting closer, she thought she wanted to sit beside him, so he moved a little to make room for her. After being taught by human traders for many years, she wasn’t really surprised with whatever kind of person he was. She thought he was shy, so she put her arm on Chang An’s shoulder, and a long finger pointed at the tip of his nose. She asked with a smile, “Xiao xiongdi, how old are you?”

Chang An had never been treated like this before. Both eyes couldn’t help but look at the finger on his nose. They were so close, they seemed to be combined.

The woman “hee-hee”-ed and reached out to caress his face, making the hair on Chang An’s skin stand on end.

He finally couldn’t bear it and stepped back. He frowned in earnest, one hand subconsciously resting on the hilt of his saber.

However, the other party didn’t do anything to him; she was just touching his face–Bei Shi and A’Yan had also touched his face, but their touch had never made him feel so uncomfortable. His face wasn’t gold or anything expensive. Touching it wouldn’t take it away. He can’t pull out his saber over such a trivial matter. So Chang An, with his entire body stretched taut, walked backwards as the woman approached him. While on guard, he glared at the woman as if she were an enemy.

The woman found him amusing. She smiled as she swayed her waist towards him, forcing him to step back.

Hua Yi couldn’t hold back his laughter.

Chang An didn’t have eyes behind his head. As he retreated frantically, he accidentally stepped on a man’s foot. The man gave a light “ah” sound. Chang An was terrified and turned his head around. He found that the person was a sub-beast but who was not quite enchanting as a man. He was sitting on top of a beastman with an unnatural flush on his face, half of his clothes were pulled down and his waist was wriggling like a snake.

The beastman and sub-beast turned their faces at the same time to look at this beautiful and daring young man. A strange light suddenly flashed in the eyes of the beastman and he heavily pushed into the sub-beast’s body. The sub-beast moaned a drawn-out sweet and soft sound.

The sound was like a substance rubbing Chang An’s ears. He jumped up as if he had burned his butt, and he looked like he had seen a ghost.

But the woman took this opportunity to climb over. She grabbed his ankle and touched it inch by inch.

Chang An couldn’t bear it. His eyelids were twitching and he was about to lift his leg to kick her away. Hua Yi, who had been watching the excitement, suddenly stood up and waved the woman away, relieving Chang An from her. He said with a smile, as if nothing had happened: “That’s enough, girl. He’s still young. Don’t bully him.”

Then with a smile, he glanced coldly at the beastman next to him and fished out Chang An. The beastman received the warning and regretfully took his eyes back.

Hua Yi picked up Chang An’s waist from behind and, from his perspective, he could see the sweat on the boy’s neck. He couldn’t help but lean close to his ear and smile: “Why, you’ve never seen such things before? Don’t you know what they were doing?”

Chang An replied as a-matter-of-factly: “I know. They were making babies.”

“Aiyo.” Hua Yi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, so he praised him instead. “You know so much.”

Purposely turning his back on Jushan’s elder, Hua Yi blocked Chang An with his body, making it look like he was holding the young man in his arms and whispering to him. Then the man’s smile faded. He said to Chang An in a low voice with his lips barely moving: “The old demon wants to kill me. If I’m right, he’ll do it later tonight.”

Chang An’s expression was cold.

Hua Yi’s expression was calm, and he was still speaking in his ear with a voice as thin as a mosquito and an ant. “I didn’t give them a chance along the way. I must have pushed the old man into a hurry. It’s difficult to find so many people to put on a play in such a short time. This idea is most likely by Old Blind, that dog person, but I am not afraid. Some of my friends in Luo Tong’s tribe probably have a way to deal with the situation, but I don’t know if they can arrive in time. If they do it tonight, I’m afraid I can’t handle it alone. I’ll depend on you then, xiongdi.”

Chang An listened, nodded an “en,” then there was no other expression.

Hua Yi knew that he and the young man were strangers half a month ago. However, he promptly decided to trust the other party, as if with the determination and courage of a hero.

Ten years later, he could still remember the clear smile of the young boy by the river. Hua Yi dared to have a strange idea. If this man was not trustworthy, then he’d feel that the first ten years of his life was a complete joke.

“Be careful.” Hua Yi put his arms around him, rubbed their heads together and whispered in his ears. There was a smile on his face that made him look like he was intoxicated with something, and no outsider heard what he said.

Lizonka: Hua Yi, don’t bully Chang An!
