Chapter 40 - It's Me Who Get You Involved

A message was sent from Wei Bojian, “This afternoon.”

Qin Qin just left without saying anything. She did owe him explanations and apologizes.

Thus, she replied, “Yes.”

When arriving at the restaurant, Qin Qin told that she was with Wei Bojian and soon she was led to the booked loge. She didn’t notice at all that someone was following her.

Wei Bojian hadn’t been there yet. She just ordered a pot of scented tea, taking time waiting for him.

It didn’t take long before Wei Bojian arrived. He was with bruises on his face and didn’t look well.

“Have waited for long?” Taking over the tea pot from the waitress, he poured her a full cup of tea, “Sorry, recently, I’ve taken over family business and was a little bit busy.”

“It doesn’t matter.” Qin Qin held the cup of tea, drinking sip by sip.

No words came from both sides. Wei Bojian actually really wanted to ask her how was she recently. Did the drug addiction occurred? Was Chao Sheng good to her? Did she feel wronged?

However, he just swallowed the words.

They two started to speak at the same time. Staring at each other surprisedly, they two again spoke at the same time.

They two couldn’t help laughing. And the communication started to be more casual.

Pointing at the bruise on his face, Qin Qin said, “What’s wrong with your face? Fight with others?”

Wei Bojian seemed to imply something, “Yep, is angry and hair on end for the beauty yet the beauty is not mine now.”

The corner of Qin Qin’s mouth slightly lowered down and she said lightly, “…is the Wei family good now?”

“They are all right. We’ve gone through the toughest time. And everything is back on track. I’m starting to learn and take over the company affairs.”

“Oh?” Even though what he said was good news, Qin Qin didn’t feel less guilty thereby. She said in a low voice, “Bojian, sorry.”

Wei Bojian’s smile froze for seconds and then he managed a bitter smile, “It’s me who should say sorry. I promised to protect you well. However, the incidents just happened not long after we came back. Qinqin, sorry. It’s my arrogant that ruins you. If I listened to you and didn’t come back!” They would then get rid of the drug addiction there, get married, give birth to a baby, and live the rest of their lives peacefully.

The light in Qin Qin’s eyes was darkened, “After all, it’s me who get you involved.”

Suddenly the communication became serious again.

Wei Bojian managed a relaxed smile, “Don’t mention this. How about you recently? Did the drug addiction ever occur again?”

“Once, but now I’m much better.”

“This would be good.”

Qin Qin felt a little bit hot and opened the window to let the cool breeze in. It was not until now before she felt a little bit comfortable.

“Hot?” Wei Bojian felt weird, for it was early summer. The weather was not that hot. What was more, before he came out, he checked that the temperature was just 20℃. It was not hot at all.

“A little bit.” Qin Qin stood by the window for a while, “Might because the logo is stuffy.”

The dishes were on the table now. Wei Bojian served Qin Qin several chopsticks, “Your body is not so good. You may get cold if are exposed to wind too long. Get back and have a seat.”

Weird. Why was she feeling hotter?

Qin Qin went back as he said. She was still with a slightly red face. She loosed her corner by a pull and asked, “Bojian, you put on several pieces of clothes. Don’t you feel hot?”

Putting down chopsticks, Wei Bojian had observed the unnatural red face of her. He checked her skin temperature by the back of his hand. It was hot, unusual hot.

Wei Bojian’s hand was like a breeze to Qin Qin. It was cool. Qin Qin groaned by instinct.

Wei Bojian frowned, “Are you…” Thinking of something before he finished the words, he took her right hand and tried to feel to pulse.

Wei Bojian could be counted as a half doctor. He knew about simple diseases. The moment he touched her pulse, his face changed immediately.
