Chapter 2
Dalia squinted her eyes. Oh, was that your problem?
Estelle filled her pretty light green eyes with tears.
“You’ve had amazing relationships before! I’ve never even held a man’s hand!”
“Hey, in what ways was it amazing? I lost my reputation.”
“You were the one who caused your embarrassment!”
It’s true that she was the cause, but when she said things like that, she was annoyed.
It’s not a very long story about the splendid love affair of the princess of the kingdom.
The princess did not intend to get married before wearing the crown, but she had quite a few men she liked. So she happened to meet about three men.
Dahlia thought the men were quite plain, but two of them seem to have really loved her. There was even a duel at the main gate of the palace over her.
Princess Dahlia eventually found out about it when the two men had already put aside an hour-long sword fight and started punching one another with their fists. Princess Dahlia was annoyed and ordered her maids to pour buckets of cold water on the two men.
Rumours spread. The men were the idiots of the century, and the reputation of the princess was ruined. However, the ladies of the kingdom’s social circle were unknowingly envious of Princess Dalia.
“And I don’t meet any good guys because you took them all!”
“Oh, I’m sorry about that.”
Dahlia took the fruit and ate it without feeling apologetic. Estelle rubbed her nose. If she thinks closely, the fact that Viscount Duran reached out to the Grand duke was partly because of Princess Dahlia. It’s because all the good guys went through Princess Dahlia at least once.
“Don’t be so sad. The Grand Duke is handsome. I saw his portrait.”
“If you have a conscience, do you think his portrait matters to me?”
Estelle looked at Dalia with beautiful eyes and alternately at the wall behind Dalia. Dalia also glanced back. There was a portrait of Princess Dalia, painted as the beauty of the century. Princess Dalia was also always admired. Estelle wrapped her hands around her and opened up about the scary rumour of the Northern Grand Duke.
“And he’s really scary…”
“Would he be scarier than your father?”
“That’s possible!”
Estelle sighed and sat down. Princess Dahlia looked at Estelle with a smirk.
The gaze of Dahlia looking at Estelle was close to admiring a beautiful painting. After all, it was because Estelle was truly a beautiful woman.
“Don’t worry, he won’t be able to scare you.”
“I have never believed you since I was ten.”
“Oh, really.”
Princess Dahlia, who belatedly received the karma she gave to Estelle, wrinkled her forehead.
Either way, Estelle muttered a mixture of complaints and sorrow.
“I heard that northern men are very blunt and stubborn. They’re conservative and scary. It’s already been rumoured that Grand Duke has a very cold personality. Also I heard he can’t live without blood.”
“All humans can’t live without blood…”
“Who are you kidding?”
“Oh, Estelle. My pleasure is always in teasing you.”
“Hey!”
Finally, the cushion flew. Dahlia lifted her head and chuckled, avoiding the cushion.
“I can’t believe I have never been in a relationship and am going to marry a man like that…”
“It can’t be changed. You’re getting married at the end of the summer.”
“Hm….”
Estelle pouted her pink lips.
Dalia admired her.
Estelle’s beauty was not at a level that could be described simply with words such as pretty or lovely. In other words, there was a narrative on her face.
When she was upset, she seemed to be the most tragic girl in the world, and when she was happy, she seemed to be the most precious and lovely flower in the world. She looked like the former now.
If she was the Grand Duke, she would kidnap her as soon as she saw her. But Dahlia shrugged her shoulders when she thought that.
“Then be in a relationship.”
