"Interesting, Number 4000 actually has a connection with China's Luo?"

Dr. Manhattan laughed out loud, but there was no trace of amusement in his eyes. "I need more information. Information about China's Luo. For example, if she bought this pendant, who is she most likely to give it to?"

"The information has already been sent to your computer. According to the data, Dr. Luo Shui most likely gave the pendant to her fiancé, Li Mu."

"Oh? Li Mu? The captain of the Future? Our hero?"

Dr. Manhattan sneered, "Find me Li Mu's information. Also, last time we detected an unknown space debris falling, right? Give me that information as well."

Soon, the information about Li Mu appeared before Dr. Manhattan. "What a glorious resume. China's fifth-generation astronaut, the captain of the Future. Without him, perhaps the world would have been destroyed before the Dead Virus outbreak. Or perhaps, it is precisely because of him that we have this beautiful Dead Virus."

Dr. Manhattan quickly typed on the keyboard, his mind racing with countless ideas, finally settling on one. "Very good. This is a wonderful discovery, like the last piece of a puzzle. Once it's in place, everything falls into perfect order."

"It seems that the sudden outbreak of the Dead Virus is indeed related to the explosion of the asteroid. Otherwise, it's impossible to explain why Li Mu, who should have died on the Future, could still turn into a zombie after the crash."

"The Dead Virus, though terrifying, can only infect living organisms. This means that Li Mu must have been infected before the explosion, which allowed him to survive the explosion with a zombie's body, and even survive the direct fall from space."

Dr. Manhattan's thoughts became clearer, his expression growing more serious and manic. "Perhaps it is precisely because Li Mu faced the source of the Dead Virus that he has the terrifying evolutionary abilities different from other zombies."

"Is this an accident or a conspiracy? Things are getting more and more interesting."

Dr. Manhattan's eyes grew manic, muttering incomprehensible words. Suddenly, he said, "Where are Colonel Hoover and the others now?"

"They will arrive in Melbourne in thirty minutes."

Dr. Manhattan rubbed his cheeks. "Contact Colonel Hoover. I don't care how much he hates Number 4000. Tell him to bring Number 4000 back alive. This is crucial; I must confirm whether Number 4000 is our former hero, Li Mu."

"Also, connect me to the Chinese base. I want to speak with Dr. Luo Shui. I'm sure she will be delighted with what we have discovered."

...

The night was still young, the stars were hazy, the full moon hung in the sky, and the party was in full swing.

The alcohol stimulated the revelers, making the opulent and decadent party even more wild. The music was high, and the air was filled with cheers. People who had been in despair for too long in the apocalypse were completely intoxicated, lost in a frenzied celebration.

The dance music played, and many people entered the dance floor, embracing each other, their hormones surging, making the party increasingly chaotic.

Li Mu, wearing a black sunglasses, stood expressionless on the second-floor balcony, watching everything below. Many beautifully dressed women with seductive glances and red lips boldly invited Li Mu to dance.

Their bold and fiery gazes swept over Li Mu as if he were naked, even the red mutant parrot felt a bit nervous and wondered if something scandalous would happen tonight. At least, Li Mu wouldn't be alone tonight. However, Annie, in her white evening gown, firmly remembered her mission and blocked all the bold women.

She didn't care what the women said behind her back. She knew that if these heavily made-up women, who were eager to crawl into Li Mu's bed, got close to him, who knows what would happen.

Perhaps, whether it was the party or the Lost Paradise, which held so many people's fantasies, to Li Mu, it was just an interesting game. If he wanted, he could immediately send these people, who thought they had found a new Eden, back to hell.

But since everything started because of her, the only thing she could do was to prolong this seemingly beautiful mirage, as long as possible.

Occasionally, Annie couldn't help but look back at Li Mu, wondering what his plans were. The existence of the Lost Paradise already made Annie uneasy, and this party made her feel that everything was too perfect, like a dream that would end when the alcohol wore off and the sun rose.

"Your Majesty, that woman is so evil, she blocked all the women who wanted to serve you."

The red mutant parrot whispered in Li Mu's ear, a mischievous glint in its eyes.

Li Mu's expression was unchanged, and no one knew what he was thinking. He just held his wine glass, and through the crimson liquid, he could clearly see the wild and chaotic scene below.

That was the world of humans. Even though he stood there, everything started because of him, but he still felt out of place.

Li Mu gently sipped the crimson wine, a human invention to intoxicate themselves, but to him, it tasted bitter. As a zombie, even the king of zombies, all the delicious food and wine that humans enjoyed were tasteless to him.

The bitter taste in his mouth reminded Li Mu that no matter how grand the party, it was ultimately unrelated to him. But Li Mu didn't mind. He didn't need to possess anything; he only needed to create. He was the king, controlling everything, and if he wanted, he could.

The intoxicated party below could warm Li Mu's lonely, empty, and cold heart, even though he couldn't truly融入 this world. But as long as it was lively, it was enough. He was tired of the silent and lifeless silence.

The red mutant parrot didn't understand why Li Mu wanted to be closer to humans. It didn't know that Li Mu's cold heart yearned for the empty noise to fill it with warmth.

Standing like an outsider on the second floor, coldly watching the revelry below, Li Mu was both yearning and distant from the crowd and the noise.

"Your Majesty."

Annie suddenly walked to Li Mu's side, trembling and extending her hand. "Can I ask you to dance?"

Li Mu's expression was unchanged, and the red mutant parrot's mouth dropped open, surprised by Annie's boldness. It couldn't help but look at her, wondering where she got the courage.

Annie stood there, slightly trembling, her shoulder exposed by the white evening gown, her moon-white off-shoulder top trembling and hugging her smooth skin. Her slender waist, barely able to be held, trembled slightly, making one want to reach out and hold her.

Her face, though not breathtakingly beautiful, was stunning under the lights. Her trembling eyelashes, whether from fear or nervousness, added to her charm.

Seeing Annie extend her smooth, jade-like hand, Li Mu hesitated for a moment, then slowly raised his left hand. The moment his finger touched hers, even through the glove, he could feel her trembling.

"I'm not afraid; I'm just a bit nervous. It's my first time inviting a boy to dance. So, Your Majesty, please don't refuse me."

Seeing Li Mu's hand about to retract, Annie quickly grabbed it and said urgently.

Under the black sunglasses, Annie couldn't see Li Mu's expression, but seeing his hand slowly relax and seem to want to hold hers, she smiled faintly.

Boom!
