"Open fire!"

At the command, the armed combat suits that had been rampaging like a flood on the street immediately raised their guns and cannons without a moment's hesitation, unleashing a barrage of fire towards Li Mu.

Rat-tat-tat!

A metal storm instantly erupted. Li Mu's eyes turned silver, and he became cold and merciless. With a powerful step, the ground cracked instantly, and the entire street was trampled into a ravine. People and horses tumbled, and Li Mu reached out, lifting a truck parked by the street as if it were a cannonball, hurling it towards the oncoming metal flood.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Colonel Hoover's soldiers immediately opened fire in unison, blasting the truck into pieces mid-air. The bullets swept the entire street, destroying everything in their path, tearing everything into shreds with the metal storm.

Gatling guns, large-caliber sniper rifles, laser guns, tactical combat missiles, pulse guns, and even small laser cannons all went berserk in an instant. The human combat suits displayed terrifying power, enough to destroy an entire street.

To deal with Li Mu, Colonel Hoover, with General Soros's tacit approval, had brought almost all the elite combat suits from the forward base, a total of seven squads, 35 combat suits. On a human battlefield, this force would be enough to sway the outcome of a small-scale battle.

And now, this was all just to deal with a zombie that humans saw as having lost everything, a soulless shell. If anyone had thought it was overkill at first, they now had to admit that Colonel Hoover's plan to take down the "boss" was indeed correct. At least for humans, Li Mu was now the ultimate boss that could crush everything.

Faced with the metal storm from 35 combat suits, even Li Mu's pupils contracted. He could only retreat, stepping back, moving sideways, leaving trails of afterimages, and crashing through the building's exterior to avoid the terrifying attack.

"Damn, his speed has increased again. Hell, will he break the sound barrier the next time we see him?!"

Hawk Eye, who had been monitoring Li Mu's data, had bloodshot eyes and roared in anger.

Colonel Hoover smiled coldly, seeing Li Mu forced to retreat into the building by the 35 combat suits. "Don't go in, just tear the building down!"

The combat suits surrounding the building, upon hearing Colonel Hoover's order, remained silent, their steel alloy limbs moving silently as they fired their powerful weapons directly at the building.

Rather than entering the building and losing the overwhelming power of the combat suit cluster due to the terrain, it was better to tear the building down and force Li Mu out. Brutal, extremely brutal. This was the tactic of concentrated firepower, simple yet effective, like the famous Chinese saying, "One force can overcome ten skills!"

Li Mu stood quietly in the shadow of the building, watching the artillery fire roll in. His silver eyes flickered. When the steel bars in the hall began to break and twist, and large chunks of concrete fell, the entire building swayed precariously. Li Mu stepped forward, leaped into the air, and kicked and punched.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

In an instant, the dozen large chunks of concrete that had fallen were kicked away with astonishing force, breaking through the hall and smashing into several combat suits that couldn't dodge in time.

"Fan formation!"

Colonel Hoover roared, his right eye red with anger. These stupid bastards, knowing how powerful Li Mu was, still made such a foolish mistake. Even with the most advanced human combat suits, they were still being taken down by Li Mu using primitive weapons like rocks. Truly, they were incredibly stupid.

The combat suits surrounding the building spread out in a fan formation, their guns firing continuously, the smoke and artillery fire shaking the ground. The deafening explosions made the survivors in the Qing Shui River Apartments cower, too afraid to even lift their heads.

Amidst the cries and shouts, someone angrily questioned, "Damn it, what's happening?! Where did these troops come from? And Mr. Li, what the hell is he?!"

The questions and fear, even amidst the artillery fire, echoed through the crowd. Annie's face was pale; she hadn't expected things to change so drastically, but she knew the sudden arrival of human forces was definitely aimed at Li Mu.

But why?

Li Mu hadn't harmed anyone, right? He had even protected all the survivors in this city. Why would such a terrifying armed force attack Li Mu?

Was it just because Li Mu was a zombie?

Annie knew she should understand this, but for some reason, she felt an intense anger, angry at Colonel Hoover and his men for disrupting the peace and tranquility of this small world.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The artillery fire continued, and the 50-meter-high building finally began to collapse, the ground shaking. The combat suits on the ground began to jump and dodge the falling debris, but their gun barrels remained trained on the building, searching for Li Mu. As soon as Li Mu emerged from the smoke, they would immediately concentrate their fire on him.

Li Mu's face was expressionless, his silver eyes cold and merciless. Even as the building collapsed around him, he remained unmoved, like the ancient saying, "Unmoved by the collapse of Mount Tai before one's eyes."

"Still not coming out?"

Colonel Hoover sneered, "Since you don't want to come out, you'll never come out. Use the fuel-air bombs, I want to bury him alive!"

"Electromagnetic interference is chaotic, frequency is rising. He's trying to take control of the combat suits, even the helicopters."

Hawk Eye said, a hint of disdain in his eyes. A zombie is a zombie; does he think a trick used once can work twice on humans?!

This time, all the equipment Colonel Hoover brought to encircle and kill Li Mu was equipped with jammers, enough to block Li Mu's mental control. This was the power of science, the power of humanity.

A zombie, nothing to worry about!

"I see him, should we use the fuel-air bombs?"

Someone suddenly spotted Li Mu and asked urgently.

"Why not!"

Colonel Hoover sneered, and a massive explosion instantly erupted, burying the entire block. The combat suits quickly ran, leaving the explosion and flames behind, and managed to escape the impact of the fuel-air bomb in just a few seconds.

"Is he dead?"

The 35 combat suits slowly gathered together, coldly watching the small mushroom cloud rising in the distance.

As the smoke cleared and the flames subsided, Li Mu's figure slowly emerged from the fire and explosion. His overcoat was completely destroyed, and half of his body was a bloody mess. The terrifying explosion had inflicted severe injuries on him.

"Still not dead?"

Everyone's pupils contracted, and Colonel Hoover's eyes were filled with hatred. "It doesn't matter, he's alive, which is perfect. Move in, he's heavily injured now, don't let him die too easily!"

The 35 combat suits slowly approached Li Mu, their guns firing. Li Mu seemed to have suffered severe injuries from the explosion, standing quietly on the ruins of the building, facing the gunfire without dodging, his eyes turning completely silver.

Rat-tat-tat!

Amidst the barrage of bullets, Li Mu remained expressionless, slowly raising his hand and gently clenching it. Instantly, countless figures burst out from the shadows on all sides, charging towards the 35 combat suits.

PS: When this chapter was updated, I was already on my way back. A new week, and the Spring Festival is almost over. This week, I'm still running without recommendations, but if I can make it to the top 12 of the new book list, three updates a day is no problem! I need recommendations and collections to help me reach the top 12 of the new book list and appear on the homepage!
