Boom!

Suddenly, the sky was filled with thunder, as if the heavens were enraged by the continuous artillery fire throughout the night. Dark clouds quickly gathered, and soon after, a heavy rain poured down.

The rain washed away the smog in the sky, making the trajectory of the second round of shells clearer. The rain pounded on the murky lake, rapidly accumulating water and making the lake even more turbid.

The red mutant parrot coughed up a large amount of blood. The first round of bombing didn't kill it, but the intense vibrations had already severely injured it. Its wings weakly moved in the water, and its claws struggled to grip Li Mu's shoulders. It futilely swam at the bottom of the lake, stirring the water and making it even more turbid, just like its current mood.

Through the murky lake water, the red mutant parrot could vaguely see the flames illuminating the sky. It knew that humans had discovered them, and the next round of bombardment was about to come.

But at this moment, Li Mu was in a state of evolutionary hibernation. How could it alone block this devastating artillery fire? The Griffin Lake could protect them once or twice, but it would be hard to withstand a third attack.

In the face of the humans' devastating bombardment, the entire lake would be annihilated and evaporated.

Boom!

The explosion came as expected. The red mutant parrot, in a panic, dragged Li Mu futilely towards the bottom of the lake. The terrifying explosion shook the lake water, and the surging lake water, in the intense explosion, rose up, merging with the rain from the sky, making it impossible to distinguish between rain and lake water.

Water splashed up everywhere. In the second round of bombardment, the Griffin Lake lost most of its water, leaving a shallow surface less than a meter deep.

The red mutant parrot coughed up a large amount of blood, looking extremely disheveled. Many of its cherished red feathers had fallen, making it look like a drowned chicken. Its eyes flickered, and it looked at Li Mu, who was in a deep hibernation with his eyes closed.

"Your Majesty, don't blame me. I don't want to die!"

The red mutant parrot sighed, looking up to see more shells trailing hot flames, breaking through the rain, and bringing up a massive wave of white foam, sweeping towards them again. It finally made up its mind to escape alone.

The red mutant parrot's eyes darted around, and it moved its wings, preparing to fly out of the lake water. Its gaze fell on Li Mu's peaceful sleeping body, and it hesitated for a moment. "Your Majesty, you're actually quite nice."

With this thought, the red mutant parrot let out a scream. "If I die, I die. Your Majesty, let's leave it to fate. If you don't wake up, I'll avenge you in the future!"

The red mutant parrot made up its mind, grabbed the pendant on Li Mu's chest with its claws, and pressed it hard. A faint blue projection flickered, distorting in the murky lake water, and a ethereal song echoed faintly in the water.

After doing all this, the red mutant parrot no longer hesitated, flapping its wings and breaking through the water surface, not looking back, and quickly beating its wings. "Your Majesty, it's up to your fate!"

Whoo!

The third round of bombardment whistled towards them, enveloped in rain, bringing rolling waves of hot flames, twisting and rising, and exploding with a deafening sound.

Li Mu lay quietly in the lake water, his eyes tightly closed, his face expressionless, and a faint blue light emanating from his chest. The ethereal song in the water seemed to be trying to awaken Li Mu's sleeping body.

Everything seemed to slow down. The red mutant parrot had not flown 300 meters and was still within the range of the bombardment. A hint of despair flashed in its eyes. At this distance, it knew it had no chance of escaping the terrifying bombardment.

Time seemed to freeze. The red mutant parrot could clearly see the first shell about to hit the murky lake surface. In the next second, there would be a deafening explosion.

"Your Majesty, this time, we're really done for!"

The red mutant parrot screamed, instinctively closing its eyes, waiting for the devastating explosion to engulf it with rolling waves of hot flames.

The sleeping Li Mu suddenly opened his eyes, which had turned a deep black. He could clearly see a missile slowly breaking through the lake surface, causing ripples. His eyes flickered, and Li Mu suddenly extended his hand, spreading his palm, and pressed it towards the sky.

An invisible ripple instantly spread out, and the missile that had already broken through the lake surface suddenly froze, then with a loud boom, it was thrown back, exploding with a deafening sound, enveloping everything in rolling waves, and sending the other shells following behind back into the sky, where they exploded in a brilliant display.

The red mutant parrot was instantly blown to the shore by the explosion, feeling intense pain but overjoyed. "Ha ha, I didn't die, I actually didn't die!"

The red mutant parrot panted heavily, coughing a few times, with blood trickling out. It was still shaken but extremely happy. It instinctively looked towards the lake surface, wanting to know if Li Mu had woken up.

"Three rounds of bombardment are complete. The tank squadron has set out. Should we continue the bombardment?"

In the combat command room, someone asked.

Dr. Manhattan didn't speak, frowning and repeatedly reviewing the last bombardment. In the brilliant explosion, he felt something was off.

But the explosion's shock waves distorted the signal, and the image showed nothing but a brilliant explosion. Dr. Manhattan shook his head. "Stop the bombardment for now. Let the tank squadron enter Canberra and thoroughly search the entire Griffin Lake. I want to see the body of No. 4000."

The order was given, and the tank units, which were 30 kilometers outside Canberra, began to advance at full speed, expected to reach the city in 15 minutes to begin the search.

The red mutant parrot flapped its wings and flew up, sensing Li Mu's mental waves. It immediately screamed and flew back over the lake, shouting, "Your Majesty, Your Majesty, are you okay?"

Over the smoky lake, heavy rain poured down, ripples spreading, bringing some clarity to the murky water. The red mutant parrot, chilled by the rain, still circled over the lake, continuously calling out to Li Mu.

"It's the bird that has been following No. 4000. It's still alive. Should we conduct another bombardment?"

Someone on the computer screen captured the red mutant parrot's image and immediately asked.

Dr. Manhattan felt uneasy and nodded. "Yes, conduct another bombardment before the tank units arrive."

Receiving the order, the forward base immediately took action, and shells immediately whistled up, breaking through the sky, cutting through the rain, and flying towards Canberra again.

The whistling sound of the shells made the red mutant parrot's flight freeze. It suddenly looked up, its pupils dilating, and it screamed, "Bastards, you're coming again?!"
