Chapter 84

"According to the rules of the academy, you are to be executed on the spot?"

Jiang Yi mockingly looked at the increasingly murderous-looking Instructor Zhao, who was getting closer. Instead of fleeing, he sneered and shouted, "Instructor Zhao, you colluded with assassins to harm me. According to the rules of the academy, what should be done? Do you not want to be an instructor anymore? Do you not want to live? The commotion today is so big, can you be sure no one nearby saw it?"

Instructor Zhao's body paused for a moment, then a fierce look appeared on his face. He gritted his teeth and continued to rush forward, shouting, "Jiang Yi, no matter how you try to defend yourself or frame me, your crime of killing someone in front of me today is unforgivable. This instructor will execute you on the spot."

"Cough, cough!"

At that moment, a coughing sound came from a forest on the other side. Seven or eight people emerged in a line, with a small, chubby-faced man leading them. He had an innocent smile on his face and said to Instructor Zhao with a grin, "Instructor Zhao, what are you doing? Are you going to kill a student in front of us? That's not good, is it?"

"Qian Wanguan? You are not..."

Instructor Zhao's body paused again, and a fierce light flashed in his eyes. He said in a deep voice, "Qian Wanguan, if you are smart, you should not get involved in this! Jiang Yi has violated the rules of the academy..."

"Ha ha!"

Qian Wanguan laughed loudly, interrupting Instructor Zhao, and said sarcastically, "Even if Jiang Yi has violated the rules of the academy, it is the responsibility of the academy's patrol team to deal with him, right? Besides... the person Jiang Yi killed, is he a student of the academy? He is at least twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, how can he be a student? Since he is an outsider who rushed into the academy's territory to commit violence, why can't Jiang Yi kill him? Instructor Zhao, there are some people you can't afford to offend, and I... you also can't afford to offend. Your family lives in Hu Xiaocheng, right?"

Instructor Zhao's face completely changed. He stared at Jiang Yi, his eyes flickering, and finally gritted his teeth and turned to Qian Wanguan, saying, "Young Master Qian, I was forced to do this. I hope you will not involve my family!"

After saying this, Instructor Zhao actually channeled his elemental power and struck his own head, causing blood to gush out. His body collapsed and he died instantly.

"Um..."

Jiang Yi's eyes narrowed. He did not expect the situation to reverse so dramatically. This respected instructor of the Spirit Beast Mountain Academy was forced to commit suicide by Qian Wanguan's words?

His mind raced, and he quickly understood some things. He turned to Qian Wanguan and asked, "This Instructor Zhao was coerced?"

"Yes, he had to die whether he killed you or not!"

Qian Wanguan nodded and said, "He must have been caught in some compromising situation, which led him to take such a risk. Even if he succeeded, the mastermind would have killed him to eliminate any witnesses. Big Brother, are you okay? I was careless, and Instructor Zhao tricked me. Fortunately, I realized it quickly, otherwise it would have been troublesome..."

Jiang Yi laughed bitterly, and the misunderstanding with the chubby man dissipated. If Qian Wanguan wanted to harm him, he would not have appeared. Under Instructor Zhao's attack, he would have been dead for sure. However, he still hesitated and said, "What is the identity of these people? Who sent them? Can we find out? Oh, I heard them call someone 'Ying Ba'!"

Qian Wanguan waved his hand, and several people immediately approached the corpse next to Jiang Yi. Following Jiang Yi's instructions, two of them rushed into the cave. Qian Wanguan glanced at the corpse on the ground and said confidently, "They are not from the Ying family. If they were, you would have had a hard time surviving. They are the most professional assassins! Qian Tongshen, send a signal to Instructor Liu and Ying Sha."

The people from the Qian family quickly took action and soon reported the situation of the assassins. After listening, Qian Wanguan gave a thumbs up and said, "Big Brother, you are really impressive. You took down thirteen people, including a Purple Mansion Realm martial artist and five peak Cauldron Casting Realm martial artists."

"Just luck."

Jiang Yi laughed bitterly and shook his head. If it weren't for the demonic beast, he would have become a corpse by now. He paused and said to Qian Wanguan, "How should we handle this situation? A mentor has died..."

"It's a small matter."

Qian Wanguan smiled calmly and said, "Wait for Instructor Liu and the academy patrol team to arrive, and I will deal with it."

Not long after, an instructor quickly ran over, and Ying Sha also arrived. Qian Wanguan had Ying Sha demonstrate his assassination skills for Jiang Yi. Seeing Ying Sha's incredible stealth skills, Jiang Yi immediately ruled out the possibility that the assassins were from the Ying family. If they were, he would have had a hard time surviving.

Ying Sha examined the corpses and soon sneered, "Jiang Yi, rest assured. I will uncover this assassination organization within three days. However, the mastermind behind it may only be revealed if Young Master Qian takes action."

Qian Wanguan shook his head and said, "Instructor Zhao is dead. Even if we can find some clues, it will be difficult to find evidence."

Instructor Liu, who was clearly on Qian Wanguan's side, investigated and immediately sent a signal to the patrol team. Many students were attracted to the scene, and by the time the patrol team arrived, the area was already crowded with people.

The death of an instructor quickly alarmed the entire academy. After the patrol team investigated, they took Jiang Yi, Qian Wanguan, and Instructor Liu to the academy. A vice-dean personally questioned the incident and announced the results, which left Jiang Yi speechless.

The assassins were described as wandering bandits, and Instructor Zhao was portrayed as a brave hero who fought the bandits. The academy gave him a grand funeral. As for Jiang Yi, he was praised for assisting Instructor Zhao in fighting the bandits and was awarded 500 points!

"Is this academy too corrupt?"

Jiang Yi's face was full of anger when he heard the news. Instructor Zhao clearly colluded with the assassins to kill him. He committed suicide out of fear of Qian Wanguan's retaliation and is now a hero? And the assassins, who clearly had a mastermind, are not pursued by the academy, but are dismissed as wandering bandits?

"Big Brother, don't get angry!"

Qian Wanguan chuckled and said, "Any academy or major family would handle this the same way. The academy cannot say that an instructor colluded with outsiders to harm a student. If this news spreads, it would greatly damage the academy's reputation. They have already given you 500 points as compensation. Don't worry, my people are already investigating, and I have already guessed who it is."

A cold light flashed in Jiang Yi's eyes, and he said calmly, "Is it Jiang Qilin?"

"Most likely."

Qian Wanguan nodded and said, "In the academy, the only person who has a grudge against you, besides him, is Yue Meier. Yue Meier does not have that much power. Jiang Qilin is a direct descendant of the Jiang family. It is very easy for him to coerce Instructor Zhao. He can hire a group of assassins with a bit of purple gold. Unfortunately, he underestimated you."

Jiang Yi's face turned grim. After a moment, he asked, "Could it be Jiang Yiliu?"

Qian Wanguan rolled his eyes at Jiang Yi and countered, "What is Jiang Yiliu's status? If he sent assassins to kill you, would you still be alive?"

Jiang Yi realized he was too anxious. He fell silent for a moment and sighed. It seemed that even if they found out that Jiang Qilin was the mastermind, they could not do anything to him for now. He could only wait until he was stronger to seek revenge.

"By the way! How can I use these points? How long will they last?"

Thinking about improving his strength, Jiang Yi suddenly remembered that the academy had given him 500 points. This was supposed to be a good thing, right? The top student in the Blood Refinement competition only gets 100 points?

Qian Wanguan's eyes lit up, and he said with a sigh, "This is a good thing! Big Brother, you have turned a disaster into a blessing. With these 500 points, your realm will definitely reach the seventh or eighth level of the Cauldron Casting Realm."
