Yun Yi struggled to carry the box. She met a few classmates on the way who hurried over to help her.

“Yun Yi, are these the study materials sent to you by your auntie who is sponsoring you?” a tall male classmate asked as he quickly took the box.

Yun Yi nodded. She was not a stingy person and didn’t think about taking these materials as her own. She told her classmates about these materials early in the morning. If these materials were useful to everyone, then that would be for the best. “Yes, I’ll sort it out later. I’ll bring it to class for evening self-study.”

“Yun Yi, Teacher Qin said that, if these materials are really useful, she can ask the vice-principal to help print them out,” a girl whispered.

“Okay, then I’ll clean it up and show it to Teacher Qin,” Yun Yi said.

Several people helped move the big box to Yun Yi’s dormitory.

The dormitory was an eight-person room. There was no room for anything except the bed. Yun Yi opened the box and took out the papers one by one to read. The more she looked, the brighter her eyes became. These materials were tailor-made for her, and they were all prepared according to her learning progress.

Yun Yi was very moved. At first, she didn’t understand why Auntie Li Su asked her to take pictures of the papers she made recently and send them to her. Now she understood why.

Yun Yi dug out another blue package in the box. She thought about it and put the package in her closet. This was the auntie’s son’s work. She would come back at night to take a look. If it was useful, she would copy it down.

Yun Yi found Teacher Qin and the two spent half an hour in the dormitory to find a few documents and papers that could be printed.

Teacher Qin looked at the remaining materials and papers and thought it was a pity. These materials and papers were all very good, but they were a bit too difficult and not suitable for other students.

“You can show the rest of the documents and papers to Wang Fang and Zhang Da. I won’t copy them. These papers are more suitable for you, but it’s a little more difficult for the others. Don’t let the others down,” Teacher Qin said softly.

Yun Yi also understood that and she nodded seriously. “I know, teacher. I will try my best.” She could not let down these kind people. She would not forget their kindness and help.

In the evening, Yun Yi flipped through the books and notes in the blue package and realised how far apart she was from the other party.

Yun Yi heard from auntie that she had a son who was about the same age as her. He was said to be very smart.

Yun Yi didn’t believe it at first and had thought that her aunt had exaggerated. But now, when she looked at these materials, Yun Yi realized that there were more talented people in the vast world.

Yun Yi felt that she had to work harder.

Lin Jihao was in a meeting when the screen of his cell phone suddenly lit up a few times. Lin Jihao looked down and saw that it was a WeChat message from his stepmother. It seemed that he hadn’t seen her for more than a month. He didn’t know where she went.

Lin Jihao picked up the phone and unlocked it. He saw several test papers which looked familiar. Lin Jihao remembered that they were the test papers he sorted out last time.

Lin Jihao looked at it with great interest. It wasn’t bad. It had only been a month and she had made a lot of progress.

His stepmother sent a message again. “How is it? There is progress! Yiyi said that your materials and notes are very useful. Do you have any new ones? If so, please send some more. I am in the United States now on vacation. I don’t have time to go back. I’ll send you the address later, and you can send it there for me. Also, do you have any high school textbooks? If so, send it to her as well.”

Then, she sent him an address and number.

Lin Jihao was speechless. He put down his phone and continued the meeting.

After finishing the day’s business, Lin Jihao went home exhausted. It was almost 10. He didn’t rest. He turned on the computer and started studying online.

At 11:30, Lin Jihao turned off the computer and rubbed his eyebrows. He was about to take a shower and go to bed when he suddenly remembered the message his stepmother sent during the day. After thinking about it, he looked over his extra materials and papers. He didn’t have any extra high school textbooks. However, they should be available in bookstores.

Early the next morning, Secretary Wang came to pick up Lin Jihao.

“Take this with you. Go to the bookstore and buy a set of high school textbooks. Check if there are any study materials, and send them together. I will send you the address and phone number later,” Lin Jihao said.

Secretary Wang was stunned. What was this? But, as a qualified secretary, the first rule is that you should never open your mouth if you shouldn’t ask.

“Yes! I’ll do it later.” Secretary Wang said. He picked up the box next to the sofa. Huh, it was so heavy…

Secretary Wang thought that such an incident today should only happen once, or it was an emergency. He inquired later and found out that the recipients of the items sent by the boss were students sponsored by Madam Lin. It should be that Madam Lin did not have time, so she asked the boss to help.

But a month later, Secretary Wang received a similar order from the boss again.

Secretary Wang was speechless again. Right, Madam Lin went on a charity trip again and hadn’t come back yet.

In the third month, Secretary Wang had gotten used to it, and without waiting for Lin Jihao’s order, he said, “Yes, I will send it out later. Do I need to buy additional materials this time?”

Lin Jihao was silent for a few seconds before he said, “Maths and English.”

“Okay.”

Li Su was very satisfied with the progress between Lin Jihao and Yun Yi. If it wasn’t for fear of disturbing Lin Jihao and Yun Yi’s reluctance, she had thought about letting Lin Jihao and Yun Yi have WeChat video teaching.

“What do you think of Yun Yi? Isn’t she very good?” Li Su rarely appeared in the company. She asked her cheap son to have afternoon tea with her.

Lin Jihao put down the menu. He originally planned to order a cup of coffee, but he remembered what Li Su said before, so he changed his mind.

“Two cups of tieguanyin tea and two tiramisu,” Li Su said first. She then said to Lin Jihao, “Drink less coffee. If you want to refresh your mind, green tea is also good.”

Lin Jihao was a little speechless about this. He closed the menu and said to the waiter, “One cup of cappuccino and one cup of tieguanyin tea! Just one serving of tiramisu is fine.” He didn’t like sweets. As for the rest, it didn’t matter. Let her be happy! She was his stepmother.

“The cappuccino is for you,” Lin Jihao said as he looked at Li Su.

Li Su smiled with satisfaction. “You haven’t answered my question yet. What do you think of Yiyi?”

“She is very smart, very hardworking, and quite good!” Lin Jihao nodded and said.

“Is this semester almost over? Next month, when you send her things again, don’t just send school materials, but some daily necessities. Her family is very poor, and her grandma heard that she is not well. According to their teacher Qin, she is always reluctant to spend the living expenses I usually give her on herself. She spent it to let her grandma see a doctor. I was thinking that, when the test results come out, I will give her a big red envelope,” Li Su rambled.

Lin Jihao didn’t understand why Li Su cared so much about Yun Yi. He could not deny that the girl named Yun Yi was indeed very good, but there were so many excellent people. He had never seen Li Su so enthusiastic. However, he still gave his answer after thinking. “You can give her a medical certificate, she should need it more.”

Li Su pretended to be suddenly enlightened. “Oh, why didn’t I think of that? I’m old, really old. You young people are still active.”

Lin Jihao’s mouth twitched. Was she old? How dare she say that? Speaking of which, he found that his stepmother seemed to be getting younger recently! There were also many people who pursued her, and many of them were young, handsome, and capable. But, he heard that she wouldn’t waver.

No matter what Li Su thought, Lin Jihao didn’t want Li Su to find someone else in such a short time, whether it was for his beloved father or for the stock price of Feiteng International.

After a while, the meal they ordered arrived. Lin Jihao picked up the teacup and smelled it. It was unexpectedly quite fragrant. After taking a sip, it seemed that it was not so difficult to drink!

The tiramisu was delicious, worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The desserts had a natural allure for all women. Li Su was like other women. Although she liked it, she didn’t dare to eat more because she was afraid of getting fat. She had gained two pounds recently and was in the process of losing weight. However, although she was rich, she couldn’t waste it, right?

Lin Jihao was drinking tea. He looked at his stepmother’s hesitant and struggling expression and thought it was a little funny. This was the strange thing about women. She liked it a lot, but tried her best to restrain herself. Wasn’t this contradictory?

Just as Lin Jihao was about to speak, Li Su quickly ate the remaining piece of tiramisu.

“Sister-in-law, Jihao!” a familiar voice called out.

Li Su and Lin Jihao turned to look at the same time. It was Lin Siheng. Why was he here?

“Hey, it’s second younger brother. Did you need anything?” Li Su asked slowly.

“Can I sit down and talk?” Lin Siheng was embarrassed. If he had a choice, he wouldn’t have come to them.

“I have no problem. What about you, Jihao?” Li Su asked after taking a sip of her cappuccino.

“I don’t mind either. Get another tiramisu,” Lin Jihao said. “What would the second uncle like to drink?”

“No need,” Lin Siheng said quickly.

“Who did you order the tiramisu for? Me? I don’t want it anymore!” Li Su looked wary.

“Eat more if you like it. It doesn’t matter,” Lin Jihao said.

Li Su rolled her eyes. “What does a child know?!”

Lin Jihao couldn’t help but laugh. “If you order it and don’t eat it, then it’s a waste. Although our family doesn’t lack money, we shouldn’t waste it, right?” Lin Jihao was sure that his stepmother would eat it, regret it, then work out in order to try and burn the calories.

Lin Jihao didn’t know why, but he thought this image would be funny.

Li Su really ate the tiramisu with gritted teeth.

Lin Jihao looked at her with a smile in his eyes.

Lin Siheng was very surprised. When did the pseudo mother and son have such a harmonious relationship?!
