Zhang Yao felt that her nose was tingling a little. She knew that she was not good, and that her mother worked so hard to make money.

But she really liked dancing. She liked it a lot. When she was younger, the neighbouring aunt sent her daughter to dance. On Children’s Day in kindergarten, she even performed on stage, wearing a very beautiful dress.

At that time, she was so envious. She knew that neither her mother nor her grandparents would agree. Therefore, she could only watch from the audience.

She finally got a chance. She really wanted to give it a try. She was sorry towards her mother for making her mother work so hard. She would grow up quickly and help her mother!

Seeing Zhang Yao’s appearance, Li Su knew what she was thinking. She smiled helplessly.

A dance class was 45 minutes long, with a ten-minute break in between, and then another session after.

Li Su was a little bored sitting outside. There were many parents waiting like Li Su, but most of them were grandmothers and a few grandfathers. They gathered together and talked about which supermarket had discounts and which vegetable market had cheap eggs. Li Su was not very interested in those topics. She had to sit and play with her phone.

Just because Li Su didn’t participate in the chat didn’t mean that others didn’t come to her.

Li Su was browsing the news when she suddenly felt someone tap her on the shoulder. “Hi.”

Li Su raised her head. An aunt was looking at her. “Ah? Do you need something?”

“You also sent your child to dance? Are you new here? I haven’t seen you before! Which community do you live in?” the aunt said in a friendly manner.

Li Su saw several aunts beside her looking at her and smiled awkwardly. “Yes, we are new here. I have never known which art center is the best. It was recommended by someone.”

“This one is not bad, but it is a bit expensive. How much was your registration fee?” asked the aunt.

Li Su told the truth.

The aunt had a look of joy. “Oh, it’s two hundred yuan more expensive than what we paid for back then!” She looked like she had a big advantage.

“Yeah, it’s more expensive than what we paid for,” several aunts beside her said happily.

Li Su smiled in embarrassment. What was so good about it? She didn’t give them the extra 200 yuan.

However, Li Su also knew that the best way to avoid becoming a talking point with these aunts is to integrate into the group as much as possible and become one of them. Although it was not guaranteed, the chances would be greatly reduced.

So, Li Su put down the phone and racked her brains in order to chat with the aunts. After a while, a lot of gossip was instilled in her mind. By the time the children had a break, Li Su had successfully integrated into the group of old ladies.

AS the old ladies saw her for the first time and were inexperienced, they saw that she did not prepare food and drink for her child, or wet wipes to wipe away the sweat, or other things. They all helped. Some of them gave water, some gave food, some gave wet wipes, and some did other things. Some old ladies taught Li Su their experience and told her what to prepare when she came back next weekend.

Li Su humbly listened to them one by one, and even wrote them down in the memo on her cell phone.

When they saw that Li Su attached so much importance to her words, the old ladies were greatly satisfied and they thought that this child was really sensible.

Fortunately, everyone’s attention was quickly attracted to their own grandchildren. Li Su also had time to look at her daughter’s condition.

Seeing that Zhang Yao’s eyes were red, Li Su knew that she had cried. Zhang Yao’s legs were shaking. Li Su understood. It was probably because it was too painful to practice, so she cried.

“How is it? Does it hurt? Do you like it?” Li Su asked Zhang Yao.

“It doesn’t hurt! Mum, I like dancing!” Zhang Yao said with bright eyes.

The teacher just came out of the dance studio and said after hearing this, “Although Zhang Yao is a beginner, her body is very flexible and her comprehension is very high. She picks things up quickly. Zhang Yao, remember what teacher said. Keep practicing when you go home and try to catch up with the progress of the other children as soon as possible!”

Zhang Yao nodded excitedly, “I will, teacher!”

When Li Su saw Zhang Yao was really happy, she looked at the yoga mat in the dance studio, lowered her head to think about it, and then placed an order for a yoga mat on her cell phone.

Since her child liked it, she as a mother should create a better environment for her daughter!

When the dance class was over, everyone changed their clothes and went home. Li Su was about to go home holding Zhang Yao’s hand. The aunt who was the first to talk to her came over with her granddaughter. “Little Su, are you going to the supermarket? In the supermarket, you can get fifty yuan off the laundry detergent or powder if you spend three hundred yuan on it. Let’s buy it together!”

Li Su originally planned to take her daughter for a walk in the art center, and then choose an extracurricular class or something. When she heard what the aunt said, it was not easy to refuse. She also thought that it would be a good thing for many children to get close to her daughter when she was new, so she agreed.

“Okay, we can go to the supermarket to buy something,” Li Su said with a smile, ” Auntie Qian, which supermarket should we go to?” Within an hour and a half, Li Su had figured out the names of the most active aunties and was seated accordingly.

“Come with me. Miao Miao, you can play with the little sister,” Auntie Qian said to her granddaughter with a smile. Miao Miao obediently stepped forward and took Zhang Yao’s hand. “Older sister, let’s go together.”

The two children were jumping and talking in front. Li Su and Auntie Qian followed behind, talking from time to time.

“Little Su, are you not a local?” Auntie Qian asked.

It was obvious since her Mandarin was still very standard! Li Su looked at Auntie Qian in surprise and nodded. “Auntie Qian, how did you know?”

“I could tell as soon as you spoke,” Auntie Qian said proudly.

Li Su smiled. “That’s amazing!”

“Where do you work?” Auntie Qian asked.

“Oh, I’m a freelancer. I’m working online.” Li Su didn’t plan to reveal the whole situation of her family. These aunties shouldn’t be able to find out. W city was still quite big. The community where she lived was seven or eight stops away from here. These aunties were not all in the same place. Some lived nearby and some had to take several trains to get there.

Auntie Qian inquired more about Li Su’s family.

Seeing that Li Su didn’t ask anything back, Auntie Qian smiled.

The two talked and eventually arrived at the supermarket. They pushed the cart in and bought the laundry detergent that Auntie Qian mentioned. Then, they both went to buy what they wanted.

Li Su saw that the fruits in the supermarket were very fresh, so she bought some. Zhang Yao didn’t say anything when she saw that the fruits her mother picked were not expensive.

When queuing up to checkout, Auntie Qian saw that she had bought fruit, and quickly said, “Don’t buy fruit. The fruit here is too expensive. See, I only bought some daily necessities. If you want to buy fruit, I will take you somewhere else later. It’s not far from the other supermarkets. It is only two stops away from here. It’s eighty cents cheaper per pound!”

Li Su smiled awkwardly. She didn’t want to go a few more stops to buy fruit. Besides, how much were these laundry detergents? “No, Auntie Qian, I still have something to do at home. I will just buy it here!”

Auntie Qian curled her lips. “You young people are just lazy.”

Li Su laughed.

After the bill was settled, Auntie Qian gave Li Su the money she owed, and then carried a large bag of laundry detergent. She asked sincerely, “You really don’t want to go? If you don’t go, then I’ll go!” This Little Su was a good person. Little Su bought a lot of snacks for her granddaughter. Although she was not short of these, Li Su was really sensible.

The laundry detergent was too heavy. Li Su wanted to take a taxi to go back. Auntie Qian said that she was going to take the bus to another supermarket to buy fruit even though she was holding so many things. Auntie Qian was crazy!

“I really don’t want to go. Thank you, Auntie Qian. It’s all thanks to you today that the laundry detergent is much cheaper.”

Auntie Qian said proudly, “That’s right, if you follow Auntie Qian, you won’t suffer! Next time I’ll take you to that supermarket to buy fruit!”

“Okay, thank you, Auntie Qian, for today. Auntie Qian, since you are busy, I won’t delay you. Goodbye Auntie Qian. Goodbye Miao Miao,” Li Su said with a smile.

Zhang Yao also waved goodbye to them.

Only then did Auntie Qian hold her items in one hand and hold her granddaughter’s hand in the other before striding towards the bus stop.

Li Su watched them board the number 278 bus. She admired Auntie Qian’s physical strength from the bottom of her heart. At the very least, she couldn’t compare.

Li Su stood on the side of the road, waved down a taxi, and took her daughter to sit in it.

Zhang Yao didn’t object either. She was really tired today and her legs were sore.

After returning home, Li Su put away the things she bought. Zhang Yao did not come to help, but instead sat on the sofa in a daze.

Li Su knew at a glance that she had something on her mind and didn’t care. She put the things away, washed a few apples, peeled and cut them into pieces, inserted a few toothpicks, and brought them to the sofa. “Here, eat some apple! ”

Zhang Yao obediently took a piece. “Mum, you can eat it too.”

“What’s the matter? Did you have a conflict with Miao Miao today?” Li Su asked. When she came out of the art center, she was fine like always. Therefore, it was probably what happened at the supermarket.

Zhang Yao hesitated. “Mom, Miao Miao said that she is going to have a little brother, so her parents can’t accompany her on weekends. She is very unhappy. Mum, will you give me a younger brother in the future? If you give me a younger brother, does that mean you won’t accompany me?”

Li Su was stunned, then smiled. “Silly, there won’t be a younger brother. Mum will always be with you. Don’t worry!” She didn’t plan to remarry and she naturally wouldn’t have any more children.

After listening to her mother’s words, Zhang Yao jumped into Li Su’s arms happily. However, she felt a little guilty. Her mother was still so young and she would definitely get married again in the future. If she didn’t have a younger brother then would her new father be unhappy? But she really didn’t want to have a younger brother. Her father didn’t want her because she had a younger brother. She only had her mother, and she didn’t want to lose her mother again.

“Mum, I will be filial to you when I grow up.” She would definitely not make her mother regret not wanting a younger brother. She promised herself.

“Yao’er is really good,” Li Su said as she held her daughter in her arms.
