With a cold voice, three people walked out from the street. The leader was a young man with a cold expression, and behind him stood two nonconformist-looking hooligans.

Guo Ming frowned. He recognized the person in front of him; it was his arch-rival. This person was extremely powerful, and back in the day, neither of them could gain the upper hand. They fought for years with no clear winner. Eventually, he heard that the man was sent to prison for theft. But soon he was released and reportedly joined the mafia. The mention of the mafia made Guo Ming reluctant to provoke him.

"It's Brother Hao. This is my classmate. He bumped into your brother today. I hope you can forgive him for my sake," Guo Ming pointed at Tang Feng and chuckled.

The young man called Brother Hao glanced at Shui Mengyao, equally captivated by her beauty. However, he quickly remembered something, shook his head, and looked at Guo Ming, sighing, "Your classmate is too outstanding. Someone has already set their sights on her. I'll let her go for your sake today, but others won't be as lenient."

"Who is it?" Guo Ming's expression changed.

"It's a gang. I can't tell you their name. Even if I did, it wouldn't make any difference, right? You're just a student and haven't delved into the darker side of society. You and your classmate should be careful. Zhou Hao turned and left after saying this."

"Please tell them that my classmate's father is the deputy county magistrate," Guo Ming shouted.

Zhou Hao paused, then said, "Don't worry, I'll pass the message along." Guo Ming's meaning was clear: the mafia was powerful, but nothing could stand up to the state. The title of deputy county magistrate was enough to make most gangsters think twice. Touching the daughter of a county magistrate would mean the end of one's career.

"Your dad is the county magistrate?" Tang Feng asked in surprise. "How come I didn't know?"

"If you knew everything, why would you still go to school?" Guo Ming felt a bit depressed and said casually, "Mengyao, let's go!"

Shui Mengyao was also startled. She got on her bicycle, said goodbye to Tang Feng, and swallowed hard, asking, "They won't really target me, will they?"

Looking at Shui Mengyao's cute face, Guo Ming smiled, "With your dad's reputation, who would dare touch you? Unless they don't want to stay here."

"Hehe, that's true," Shui Mengyao sighed in relief. But then she thought of something and looked at Guo Ming, blushing, "Can I go to school with you from now on?"

Guo Ming almost fell off his bike in surprise. Her request was something he had dreamed of for a long time but never found a good reason to ask. Now that she had offered, what was there to say? Guo Ming naturally agreed wholeheartedly. Even though he knew Shui Mengyao was using him as a bodyguard, for such a beautiful girl, it was worth it.

"What's wrong with you?" Shui Mengyao was startled.

"Nothing, it's just that the goddess of fate played a big joke on me," Guo Ming chuckled.

"What joke?" Shui Mengyao asked, smiling.

"She gave me the chance to go to school with a beautiful girl, but I refused," Guo Ming laughed.

Shui Mengyao was stunned, finding it hard to believe. She never thought that the seemingly perverted Guo Ming would refuse.

It wasn't until much later that she understood why Guo Ming had refused. He needed a lot of time to study, and school was not an ideal place for him.

Guo Ming held his exam ticket and entered Exam Room 76. The school had a hundred exam rooms, all ranked by performance. Guo Ming's placement indicated his academic standing. He shook his head at the noisy chatter in the room.

Finding his seat, he sat down.

"Hey, bro, how was the Chinese exam?"

"Don't mention it, it was terrible. I felt like banging my head against the wall."

"What are we going to do?"

"Leave it to fate."

This was the conversation Guo Ming overheard. Such conversations were common, and he was already numb to them. Students at the bottom of the class all wanted to score high to show their parents, even though they knew cheating was useless and only a form of self-deception.

"I'm not worried about Chinese, but I'm worried about Math," one student sighed.

There were a few rustling sounds as several nearby students gathered around, their faces glowing with excitement, as if they had discovered a new continent.

"Bro, can you help us?"

"Thanks a lot, I'll count on you."

...

Guo Ming listened quietly and smiled faintly. He had once been one of them, arriving early and hoping for a shortcut to success. But they didn't realize that since they were all in the same boat, their grades were all poor. Even if they cheated, they wouldn't score much higher.

The invigilator turned out to be his teacher, Mr. Wang. Guo Ming shook his head and smiled bitterly. He really didn't want to see this old man because he had caught him cheating twice. Mr. Wang's eyes were like radar, scanning the room without missing a thing. Cheating under his watch was a death sentence.

There were a few mournful cries from the students, indicating they had also suffered at Mr. Wang's hands.

Mr. Wang looked at the students and chuckled, "I'm sure you've heard of my nickname. Yes, I'm Eagle Eye. So, put away your tricks. The exam is about to begin." His eyes were fixed on Guo Ming, his main target.

Guo Ming pursed his lips and thought, "What a notorious reputation!"

Two young teachers immediately started opening the exam papers and quickly distributed them.

The moment Guo Ming received his paper, he was unusually excited. This was his first real exam, not just a practice run. He carefully read through the paper and smiled faintly.

After writing his name, Guo Ming began answering the questions.

Mr. Wang whispered to a young teacher, "See that student? Sit next to him and monitor him throughout the exam."

The young teacher nodded and pretended to patrol the room. When he reached Guo Ming, he stopped, pulled over a chair, and sat down next to him.

Guo Ming frowned and looked at the teacher.

The young teacher chuckled softly, "Don't ask, just focus on your exam."

Guo Ming understood that the teacher was there to monitor him for cheating. He smiled bitterly, thinking that Mr. Wang still didn't trust him. But he had no intention of cheating, so having someone next to him didn't matter. He nodded and started writing quickly.

Time passed slowly. After about an hour, the students began to get restless. Most of the basic questions were done, and only the essays remained.

Mr. Wang's nickname of Eagle Eye was well-deserved. He quickly caught three students cheating.

The young teacher, however, was amazed. He had been watching Guo Ming answer the questions. Fortunately, he was a Chinese teacher, and Guo Ming's speed was impressive. His essay, worth 65 points, would likely score over 50 if graded by him. Such a student shouldn't be in Exam Room 76. He was puzzled. Although some of Guo Ming's answers were a bit unreasonable, the teacher conservatively estimated that Guo Ming's Chinese score would be over 120. A score of 120 in Chinese and English was considered excellent, though not top-tier.

Guo Ming checked his answers and looked at the time. Two hours, and he had finished in one hour and ten minutes. He stood up and said, "Teacher, please move, I need to submit my paper."

"Sure," the teacher stood up and walked to the front with Guo Ming.

All the students in the room looked at Guo Ming. They had studied with him for three years and knew his reputation. He never submitted his paper until the last minute, and the last person left the room. His famous saying was, "As long as there's one person left, I have a chance to copy." He never gave up on cheating. But today, he was the first to submit his paper. They were curious and wanted to ask, "How did you copy with the teacher right next to you? That's amazing!"
