"What? A prisoner has escaped from Azkaban?"

Professor McGonagall's voice grew louder, her eyes widening in disbelief as she looked at the headmaster.

She didn't understand.

Was the escape of an Azkaban prisoner a trivial matter?

Dumbledore picked up another letter and said calmly, "Yes, a Death Eater has escaped, his name is Dewey Jones.

Minerva, do you remember this name?

Hmm, he was once a Ravenclaw student, he should have taken your Transfiguration class."

McGonagall sat down and recalled carefully. She remembered Dewey Jones, a gloomy child who didn't like to speak but was very intelligent, with black hair and blue eyes.

He was tall and very thin.

"Yes, I remember him."

Professor McGonagall couldn't help but ask, "But Headmaster, how could someone escape from Azkaban?"

Dumbledore, behind his half-moon glasses, looked at McGonagall calmly and said, "Nothing is absolutely impossible, Minerva.

I have a book on topology and logic written by a Muggle professor, I think you could read these books as well.

I see the crystallization of wisdom in these books, their wisdom is also very inspiring, isn't it?"

Dumbledore enthusiastically recommended.

"No, thank you, Headmaster."

Professor McGonagall politely declined.

Hearing about the Death Eater's escape, she thought of many things. Before leaving, she hesitated for a moment and then asked, "This matter, I mean, Dewey's escape, is it related to the Dark Lord, uh, Voldemort?"

Professor McGonagall struggled to say Voldemort's name.

Dumbledore put down the letter.

He looked at Professor McGonagall seriously, organized his words, and said, "Voldemort? I don't think so, he is severely weakened and is still recovering.

This should be an isolated incident.

Dear, don't worry about this, I will handle it."

Dumbledore deliberately used a light tone, saying to Professor McGonagall, "Could you please call Professor Snape for me? I have something to ask him."

"Sure."

Professor McGonagall walked out, and after a while, Snape came in.

He was still dressed in his usual stern manner, with black hair, a hooked nose, and a sallow complexion, always looking very serious. His hair looked like it hadn't been washed for years, just as greasy as Fudge's.

He rushed in.

"What is it, Dumbledore? I'm making a potion."

He addressed the headmaster by his first name.

Dumbledore didn't mind this.

"Severus," Dumbledore said gently, "I want to know something.

Dewey Jones, the Death Eater Dewey Jones, do you remember him?"

"Dewey Jones?"

Severus Snape thought seriously for a moment. He took out his wand, tapped his head lightly, and sent a silver thread of thought into the Pensieve.

After carefully reviewing this memory and ensuring nothing was missed, Snape said, "Yes, I remember him.

This guy joined the Death Eaters voluntarily halfway through.

He was a meek and submissive person, but very ambitious.

He was one of the thousands of Death Eaters, but unlike those who were coerced into joining the Dark Lord, he tried hard to get close to Voldemort after joining. He wanted to learn more dark magic from Voldemort and gain more power.

Yes, I remember his ambitious and determined eyes, eager to climb the ranks.

Young, wild, and full of desire.

At first, he tried to get close to the pure-blood Malfoy family.

Lucius said he was a sycophant, fawning, and without principles.

After being rejected, he then tried to get close to Antonin Dolohov, Rodolphus Lestrange, and Goyle, but was rejected by all of them.

Finally, after that incident, Voldemort disappeared."

Speaking of that incident, Snape paused slightly before continuing, "After Voldemort's disappearance, he and Bellatrix went to find the Aurors to interrogate about Voldemort's whereabouts. They were caught and thrown into Azkaban."

After recounting Dewey Jones's life, Snape asked, "What happened to him?"

"He escaped, fled from Azkaban. Fudge is very worried and wrote to me asking what to do."

Dumbledore said.

"Escaped?"

This is impossible.

Snape was greatly shocked. He knew how terrifying and formidable Azkaban was. Even if he were thrown into Azkaban, he might not be able to escape.

How could someone as mediocre as Dewey escape from Azkaban?

"How did he do it?"

Snape couldn't help but ask.

"I don't know, Severus, I don't know."

Dumbledore shook his head and stood up, "The question now, Severus, have you felt his summons?"

Snape shook his head.

"No, he has never summoned us."

Dumbledore still suspected Voldemort.

Hearing that Voldemort had not summoned his followers, Dumbledore felt much more relieved.

He defined Dewey's escape as an accident, which seemed to be nothing serious.

Then someone arrived at Hogwarts using Floo Powder.

"Something big has happened, Dumbledore, Merlin's beard, it's unimaginable how bad things have gotten."

Someone was shouting at the bottom of the spiral staircase in the headmaster's office.

He was stopped by the stone statue.

Fudge looked nothing like a Minister of Magic at the moment. His forehead was covered in sweat, but he didn't have time to wipe it off.

Dumbledore allowed him to enter the headmaster's office, and Fudge grabbed Dumbledore's hand excitedly.

His hand was sticky, full of sweat and grease.

Dumbledore didn't mind this. He looked at Fudge gently and said, "Don't worry, Cornelius, take it slowly."

"Something big has happened."

Fudge wailed, "Black, Black has escaped! He also fled from Azkaban, the Dementors are no longer reliable."

He was panic-stricken. In less than three days, two Death Eaters had escaped in succession.

This was a huge scandal.

Even if he wanted to cover up these two incidents with other major news, he couldn't find anything more shocking.

If it were just Dewey Jones escaping,

it would be easier to cover up.

Dewey Jones, an unknown person.

Who would care about such a sycophant?

He was completely overshadowed by Sirius Black, one of the most famous Death Eaters of modern times and the last heir of the Black pure-blood family.

He was related to almost all existing pure-blood families, even the currently powerful Malfoy family and the up-and-coming Potter family, whose wealth and influence were not as great as the Black family.

Even as an Azkaban prisoner, Sirius still controlled the Black family's final resources, house-elves, wealth, and both movable and immovable property.

His escape was like a thunderbolt, leaving the poor Fudge completely at a loss.

He lost his composure and came to see Dumbledore in person.

Like a child who hasn't been weaned, seeking help from his mother.

"It's okay, Cornelius, it's okay."

Dumbledore comforted Fudge, looking at Snape and noticing the flames burning in his eyes.

He understood Snape's gaze.

He wanted to seek revenge.

For the person who killed Lily, whether it was Voldemort or Sirius, he treated them equally.

"Alright, Cornelius, calm down."

Dumbledore gestured for Fudge to sit down. His calmness was not only for Fudge but also for Snape.

"It's okay, it's okay." He made a cup of tea for Fudge, gesturing for him to take a sip and calm down.

"What measures have you taken, Fudge?"

Dumbledore asked Fudge.

"Yes, yes, I have taken measures. I have sent all the Aurors and Hit Wizards from the Ministry to search for these two people. I also spoke with the Muggle Prime Minister and issued a nationwide manhunt for them.

Their photos should be all over Muggle newspapers and television now."

Fudge was almost out of breath. In his haste, he even skirted the secrecy laws, issuing a dangerous manhunt for the two escapees, targeting both Muggles and wizards.

It was a grand gesture.
