CH 105

The morning sun casted its rays on the bed. Xia Weilan’s curly lashes trembled slightly and she opened her eyes. Her eyes were still a bit blurry from adjusting to the light after waking up from her sleep. She then blinked her eyes and quickly sat up on the bed.

She realized that she was back to Fairview Imperial Court. But she had totally no recollection of how she came back yesterday.

After washing up, she walked out from the bedroom and saw Mo Beichen dressed in sportswear coming in from outside.

Mo Beichen was soaked in sweat. Just when he was about to make his way upstairs, he ran into Xia Weilan. He wanted to quickly get into the room to take a shower but he heard Xia Weilan’s doubtful voice.

“What happened to your ears?”

Mo Beichen stared at Xia Weilan deeply and said, “Bitten by a kitten”

“Kitten?” Before Xia Weilan could react, Mo Beichen already went into the bedroom.

“Young Madam, breakfast is ready.” Aunt Tian quickly called Xia Weilan when she saw her standing in the middle of the staircase.

Xia Weilan went downstairs with lots of doubts inside her head. Why is there a kitten? We don’t have any cats in Fairview Imperial Court.

“Aunt Tian, how did I get home last night?” Xia Weilan lifted her head to ask as soon as she sat down.

“The young master sent you home.”

“Did I do anything inappropriate while I’m drunk?” Xia Weilan asked cautiously as if she recalled something.

“Well…” Aunt Tian recalled how Xia Weilan addressed her as Young Lady and she hesitated for a long while.

Mo Beichen came down from the stairs and interrupted their conversation.

“How crazy do you think you’ve acted when you’re drunk?”

He then took a seat beside Xia Weilan and started eating breakfast.

Xia Weilan blinked and asked in disbelief, “Did I really do something?”

Mo Beichen replied without lifting his head, “Yep.”

Xia Weilan’s heart was itching with curiosity. She quickly asked, “What have I done?”

Mo Beichen who was eating suddenly paused. He turned his body around slowly and gazed at Xia Weilan deeply, “You raped me yesterday.”

He then turned his head around so that she could see his ear. There was still a patch of dried bloodstain on it.

“You did this.”

She never expected such a reply from Mo Beichen. Her eyes went straight and she didn’t dare to meet Mo Beichen’s eyes that were showing some anger and sadness now. She couldn’t even imagine how wild she was yesterday as to cause Mo Beichen to make such a sad expression.

Mo Beichen’s eyes that were as deep as the vast ocean stared closely at Xia Weilan. The moment he caught a glist of guilt flashed across her eyes, he didn’t take any action as he intentionally wanted to teach this young lady a lesson so that she wouldn’t dare to get herself drunk next time.

“Hubby, sorry.” Xia Weilan stared at him in guilt. “Where else did I hurted you?”

“Eat your breakfast!” Mo Beichen cast a glance at her and retrieved his stare.

Xia Weilan ate her breakfast absentmindedly. When Mo Beichen stood up after he finished eating, Xia Weilan quickly put down her meal and stood up too.

“Hubby~” Xia Weilan hurried after him while calling out for him. However, Mo Beichen remained cold. He got into the car and left.

Xia Weilan stood there crying without tears. She smacked the back of her head, trying to recall what happened yesterday. She got even more annoyed when she realized that she couldn’t even recall a single thing.

At this moment, Aunt Tian was carrying the laundry from upstairs. When she walked past Xia Weilan, Xia Weilan noticed the stains on the clothes from her vomiting yesterday. Her face turned even solemn when she saw that Mo Beichen’s clothes were also stained.

That morning, Xia Weilan kept sending apology SMS to Mo Beichen while she’s at work. She knew that he must be busy, so she didn’t dare to call him.

Meanwhile, at Mo Corp.

In between the meeting, Mo Beichen was staring at the mobile screen that lit up from time to time. He put on a happy expression and even lifted the corner of his mouth.

This scene had let all the managers who were feeling anxious in the beginning felt relaxed as they knew that Mo Beichen was in a good mood. A few daring ones immediately proposed the upcoming projects for the next two quarters and they didn’t expect that Mo Beichen would easily agree to their proposal with just some minor recommendations.

The morning, the meeting concluded in a relaxed manner. The atmosphere was really good. After the meeting ended, the managers exchanged words at the corridors as they made their way back to their offices.

“What’s gotten into President Mo today?”

“It seems like he’s in a relationship. Perhaps he’s in love.”

“I know, it must be with Miss Xia…”

In the conference room, Mo Beichen was scrolling through Xia Weilan’s messages. Just as he was about to give her a call, a call came in.

It was from Nan Fengyan.

“Mo-ge, for sis-in-law’s birthday, shall we throw another birthday party for her tonight?”

Birthday party? Before Mo Beichen opened his mouth, Nan Fengyan continued, “invite Rui Li too.”

“This is your real intention, right?” Mo Beichen curled his lips.

After Mo Beichen hung up the phone, he called Xia Weilan. Xia Weilan’s delicate voice was heard almost immediately.

“Hubby~I really didn’t mean to do it.”

Mo Beichen was unable to hide his smile that it climbed all the way to the corner of his eyes. He really enjoyed teasing this young lady.

“You’ll accompany me to attend a party tonight.”

Xia Weilan agreed without hesitating.

That evening, Xia Weilan returned to Fairview Imperial Court after work. She changed into a decent looking evening dress. Not long after, a black Maybach stopped by the front porch. Mo Beichen drove off after Xia Weilan got into the car.

“Hubby, what’s the occasion today?” Xia Weilan glanced at his calm face.

“You’ll know once we get there.” Mo Beichen didn’t stare at her but put his full attention on the road.

Soon, a few people showed up at a restaurant. Mo Beichen led Xia Weilan into a VIP room. As soon as they entered the room, they heard a loud ‘pop’. Xia Weilan was startled. Nan Fenyang appeared in front of her eyes with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

“Happy Birthday, Sis-in-law.”

Xia Weilan came back to her senses but she was still unable to react as she stared at Nan Fengyan who was smiling like a fox.

She then saw Rui Li who stood beside him in silence, dressed in a long dress.

“Have a seat.” Mo Beichen placed one hand on her shoulder and led her inside the room.

It was an entertainment restaurant where they could have a meal while playing games, watch a movie or even sing karaoke.

Xia Weilan sat down in front of a table full of dishes and she finally realized that they are celebrating her birthday tonight.

Beside Nan Fengyan and Rui Li, a few of Mo Beichen’s friends that she’d met once were also there. They greeted her politely as ‘sis-in-law’ too.

“So, how did Mo-ge meet Sis-in-law?” One of the noble gentlemen suddenly asked.
