Xia Weilan placed a lot of delicious food on Mo Beichen’s plate. He ate it calmly while looking at Xia Weilan grilling enthusiastically. He didn’t want to spoil her mood.

Suddenly, a young woman walked toward Mo Beichen. When she passed by him, she suddenly threw herself into his arms and screamed, “Hey, why are you touching me?”

It caused quite a commotion. Xia Weilan immediately turned around and was stunned when she saw Mo Beichen hugging a beautiful lady with his hand wrapped around her waist.

The pretty lady shyly leaned against him as if she was captivated by his handsome profile.

“What’s going on!” Xia Weilan felt that this was not as simple as it seemed.

Suddenly, a young man stepped up and dragged the pretty lady away. He glared at Mo Beichen and said, “How dare you harass my sister. You’ve already had a girlfriend. Do you have no shame?”

Mo Beichen’s face darkened but he didn’t reply. He looked around his surroundings and landed his gaze on Ouyang Mingqi who stood among the crowds. He curled the corners of his lips.

Ouyang Mingqi was stunned when he noticed Mo Beichen staring at him. He immediately attempted to flee but as soon as he turned around, he was blocked by two men.

Mo Beichen lifted his brows when he saw that they’ve got Ouyang Mingqi. He turned around and protected Xia Weilan behind him. He said to the furious man standing in front of him, “That’s right, I have a wife and I love her very much.”

After he finished his statement, he held Xia Weilan’s hand and gave her a look of assurance. At first, Xia Weilan was a little anxious as she had a feeling that someone was trying to frame them again. But seeing that Mo Beichen was calm and collected, she instantly felt assured and stood steadily beside him.

The lady and young man exchanged glances.

The man suddenly yelled, “Everyone saw that you harassed my sister. Madam, your husband had conducted such a disgraceful act, why are you still standing on his side?” The man suddenly stared at Xia Weilan, trying to convince her to take a good look at the situation.

“Why of course I trusted my husband.” Xia Weilan smiled and said, “Afterall, my husband is so handsome. I’ve gotten used to seeing those who pounced on him because of his good looks.”

The pretty lady squinted as she heard Xia Weilan’s words. Her eyes reddened which made her look pitiful. Everyone started judging Mo Beichen.

“This man is really handsome. He must be a playboy.”

“That’s right. Just look at how he bullied that lady.”

There were even some who took out their phones and started recording videos of Mo Beichen and Xia Weilan. “Come and take a look, this man just harassed a pretty lady and his wife even protected him…”

Mo Beichen cast a sharp glance at that person. The man’s hand trembled and dropped his phone on the floor. He took two steps back and didn’t dare to pick up his phone.

“Let’s knock these two out. We don’t welcome them here!” The brother of the pretty lady yelled and in an instant, some brave individuals started to surround Mo Beichen. However, Mo Beichen was standing still quietly. It seemed as though he wasn’t afraid of them at all.

Suddenly, two men dressed in black came beside Mo Beichen with Ouyang Mingqi.

“President Mo, the video of Ouyang Mingqi tipping them off was already in our hands. How would you like to deal with these three, President Mo?”

Ouyang Mingqi looked awkward now from struggling with all his might, trying to break free from those men just now. His clothes were in total disarray now.

When the pair heard this, they exchanged glances and attempted to flee.

“Brother, I think we should let this slip. They have so many people with them. We’ll just take it as bad luck.”

“Alright, sis. Let’s go home.”

With that, they attempted to make their way out from the crowds. But they didn’t manage to go far before turning back. There were a few men dressed in black behind them.

The bystanders were all stunned and it took them a while to realize that they had been tricked by the two cheaters.

“Bro, please spare us. We’re only doing it for the money.” The pretty lady went weak on her knees and kneeled down to beg for mercy.

Ouyang Mingqii’s face turned green. He stared at Mo Beichen angrily, “Since things had turned out this way, it’s up to you to decide what you wanted to do.”

Xia Weilan stared at Ouyang Mingqi’s sorry look, she immediately understood what was going. The series of strange things that happened for the past few days was clear now..

“Weilan, I did these all for you.” At this moment, Ouyang Mingqi gave a loving stare at Xia Weilan.

Xia Weilan felt disgusted.

“Take him away and beat him up until he begs for mercy.” Mo Beichen left a short instruction and led Xia Weilan out of the crowds.

Ouyang Mingqi panicked when he saw Mo Beichen leaving. He was then brought away by those men in black.

At first, Ouyang Mingqi was full of pride. He never thought of begging for mercy. But the moment a fist landed on his body, the pain was really sharp. He immediately recoiled on the floor and subconsciously pleaded, “I’m sorry, please spare me. Mo Beichen mentioned just now that as long as I beg you, you’ll let me go.”

The two men in black were stunned for they only landed two blows on him and it was far from feeling satisfied. They had never seen someone so prideless before. They spitted on him and gave him a kick. They then left him on the spot and left.

As soon as Ouyang Mingqi managed to crawl up from the ground, he saw the local villagers gathering around him furiously.

“This sort of person is not fit to stay in our village.”

“Let’s drive him out of here.”

Someone released a dog and the dog gave a hard bite on Ouyang Mingqi’s *ss. He struggled to get back up and ran blindly with a few dogs chasing behind him.

Shortly after, he was hiding on top of a tree with his clothes torn into pieces and his body soiled with mud.

Meanwhile, Xia Weilan and Mo Beichen took a stroll back to the hotel. By the time they reached the hotel, it was already eleven at night. They returned to their room.

When Mo Beichen entered the bathroom, Xia Weilan was standing beside the window, looking at the night sky outside the window. Suddenly, she caught a beam of light flashing from a tree far away. She squinted and realized that it was a call for help.

When she was at the tree, with the help of the faint light, she saw that it was Ouyang Mingqi on top of the tree.

This was the most embarrassing moment of Ouyang Mingqi’s life. He had lost his phone and also dropped his shoes. Although he had climbed up the tree, he had no more energy to climb down from the tree.
