The next morning, Xia Weilan woke up on the big soft wooden bed to find that Mo Beichen had already left the room.

She turned to her side to get down from the bed and realized that her leg was still a little jelly. She immediately blushed. She quickly washed up and walked out of the bedroom.

“You’re awake, Young Madam.” Mo Beichen’s secretary greeted Xia Weilan and immediately pulled out the chair for her.

“You are?” Xia Weilan looked around her in suspicion and there was still no sign of Mo Beichen.

“Young madam, President Mo had some urgent matters to attend to and he had requested for me to take care of you. President Mo will be back by noon time.” The secretary said. Her short statement was brief without a single nonsense. It was concise and comprehensive.

As soon as Xia Weilan sat down, she saw a spread consisting of medium well steak, fruit salad, steamed dumpling and a bowl of grain porridge across the dining table…there were a lot of varieties for her to choose from.

After Xia Weilan finished her breakfast, she returned to the bed to take a rest as her body still hasn’t recovered from yesterday’s extreme activity. Just when she was about to fall asleep, her phone suddenly rang.

She picked up her phone and took a glance to find that it was from Nan Fengyan. He sent a map and a voice message.

Xia Weilan stared blankly at it for a moment and played the voice message. Nan Fengyan’s excited voice was heard, “Sis-in-law, take a look at this old map. Does it look similar to your treasure map?”

Xia Weilan quivered and sat upright immediately. She compared the two maps and to her surprise, they looked similar.

“How did you manage to find this? They are the same.” Xia Weilan tapped the keyboard on her phone screen.

“Hehe,” Nan Fengyan let out a laugh and said with high-spirit, “It’s because I’ve seen this map before. This map was placed inside the storeroom of my house for a long time and I happened to stumble across it recently.”

Xia Weilan squinted. The map was indeed very old. It was at least a hundred years old.

“Sis-in-law, comparing this old map to the new map, the location of the treasure is just nearby a few famous mining spots.” Nan Fengyan lifted his tone at the end of his statement. It was clearly obvious that he was feeling excited.

“Weren’t you and Mo-ge touring around that area now? Hehe, perhaps you can bring the treasure back too.”

There’s no way that Xia Weilan could fall asleep now. Her eyes were fixed on the map and curiosity won over her. She was itching to travel to that location to search for the treasure now.

After thinking for a while, she took her phone and dialed Mo Beichen’s number.

“Hubby, what time are you coming back?”

Meanwhile, at the hospital, a man in a suit was getting an IV on the hospital bed.

Last night, his delicate stomach was filled with a lot of barbequed food. At first, he thought it would be alright. He didn’t expect that in the middle of the night, a really bad gastric struck him and it left him no choice but to go to the hospital. He ate some medicine and was given an IV. At this moment, he felt alive again.

The moment he heard her asking him what time will he be returning with a tone full of hope, he quickly answered, “I’m about to go now.”

“That’s great. I’ve already found the location of the treasure. It’s not far from where we are now. Why don’t we go over there this afternoon?” Although Xia Weilan was asking him a question, her mind was already set to hunt the treasure.

“Okay!” Mo Beichen let out a smile silently. It seemed as if he could see her excited face now.

That afternoon, at a hill near the mining area which was usually deserted, a rustling noise was heard and the murmur of a woman’s voice was vaguely heard.

“Are we there yet? Ah! My shoe!”

Xia Weilan noticed that her shoe was trapped in the crack of the rock. By the time she managed to pull it out from the crack, the heel came off and it was stuck in between the crack.

The weather was a little hot and stuffy. A red flush formed across her face and she looked in a sorry state.

However, Mo Beichen who was next to her was calm and relaxed. He was helping Xia Weilan get a foothold. He said with concern, “It’s still quite a walk ahead. Do you want me to carry you on my back?”

Mo Beichen bent over and signaled Xia Weilan to climb up his back.

The area was surrounded by rocks and weeds. Xia Weilan clenched the map in her hand and suddenly walked toward the other side.

“Let’s go. We’ll take a rest by the riverbank.” She took off the other shoe and walked barefoot.

Mo Beichen followed closely behind her.

By the riverbank, the river flowed smoothly. Xia Weilan dipped her dirty feet into the water as she sat on top of a rock. She felt the cold water penetrate her body instantly and she felt a lot more relief.

Mo Beichen watched as her smooth and fair feet swayed around in midair, mischievously kicking the water with her eyes flashing with stange lustre.

After she was done washing her feet, she snapped the remaining heel on her shoe, turning it into a pair of flats and stood in front of Mo Beichen.

She took a piece of wet cloth and helped Mo Beichen to wipe the sweat off his forehead.

Mo Beichen couldn’t help but let out a smile.

“Alright.” Xia Weilan put away the handkerchief and stared at Mo Beichen’s handsome face. She smiled in satisfaction, “You have good stamina! You didn’t even pant after hiking the entire hill.”

Mo Beichen stared at her faintly and said, “My stamina is indeed good. But I’ve already reserved it. Otherwise, you won’t be able to hike today.”

The warm sun bathed Xia Weian’s red skin, making her cheeks burn even more.

The both of them continued to move forward. There was no accessible road in this mountainous area, so it was impossible to drive here. The only option was to walk.

Soon, they were getting closer to the location marked on the map.

“I think it’s here.” Xia Weilan walked toward an open space and cupped her hand over her eyebrows as she surveyed the surroundings.

It was surrounded by weeds and the only eye-catching structure was a little cave not far away.

Mo Beichen also spotted the cave. He heard Xia Weilan joking, “Could it be that the treasure is inside there?”

“Could be.” Mo Beichen said calmly.

“Let’s go.” Xia Weilan led the way excitedly.

“This cave is very small. It’s just fit for the both of us to enter. But it’s impossible for the treasure to be in here.”

Once they were inside the cave, Xia Weilan hung her head low and felt discouraged because there was nothing inside besides weeds and the walls surrounding them.

Just as Xia Weilan was about to exit the cave to search for another possible location, Mo Beichen suddenly said, “Wait.”

Xia Weilan turned her head and saw Mo Beichen flashing his torch light toward a spot above his head. There was a big crack in between the rocks above their head and something seemed to be hidden in the crack.
