CH 114

“Sob…” A soft sob was heard among the crowd.

Mo Beichen acted as if he didn’t hear it. He squeezed her chin and wrapped one hand around her waist as he deepened the kiss. They were kissing as if they were the only one around.

Xia Weilan’s eyes widened because she was shocked but overjoyed at the same time. After all, they were doing this while everyone was watching. She was so nervous that she wanted to push him away. But she quickly realized that he was holding her tighter, biting her lips like a punishment, causing her pain. After a while, she gave up struggling.

Only then did Mo Beichen let her go. He reached out his hand to wipe the saliva off her lips. He turned his head and announced to the crowd in a foreign language, “This woman is mine.”

Nobody dared to take his domineering words lightly. Someone among the crowd blew a whistle. Endless applause followed shortly.

Mo Beichen took Xia Weilan to a less crowded place. He let go of Xia Weilan and warned her to stay close to him.

A few foreigners who knew Mo Beichen greeted him. They all teased them.

Xia Weilan immediately blushed. She sipped on the grape wine little by little in embarrassment. She had forgotten the alcohol strength of the wine and very soon, she felt a little tipsy.

Mo Beichen frowned as he watched Xia Weilan empty two glasses consecutively.

“We’ll make a move first.” Mo Beichen wrapped a hand around Xia Weilan’s waist and helped her balance her swaying body.

“Of course, have a good rest.” The few foreigners tacitly knew that Mo Beichen was about to get lucky.

On the way back to the hotel, Mo Beichen and Xia Weilan sat in the back seats.

In the car, Xia Weilan leaned in Mo Beichen’s arm and kept murmuring nonsense. Mo Beichen brought his ears closer to her mouth, trying to hear what she was saying. He felt the heat on his cheek as Xia Weilan suddenly kissed him. .

Mo Beichen lifted his head to look at Xia Weilan and found her giggling at him with her flushed complexion.

Mo Beichen asked out of the blue, “Do you know who I am?”

“Of course,” Xia Weilan blinked. She reached out and patted his cheek, “You are my husband.”

An excitement flashed in Mo Beichen’s eyes as he was getting a little excited because the little girl that was drunk actually recognized him as her husband.

Back at the hotel, Xia Weilan pushed Mo Beichen onto the sofa and he allowed her to caress his body.

Mo Beichen really enjoyed it but after a while, he noticed he’s starting to get some reaction. But Xia Weilan was toying with his buttons with her fingers.

Mo Beichen’s eyes flashed with impatience, and he carried Xia Weilan into the bathroom.

Very quickly, both of them were naked in the shower. Mo Beichen pressed her back against the wall as he fixed his eyes that were burning with passions on her.

“Xia Weilan, say it again. Who am I?”

“You are… my husband.” Xia Weilan’s eyes were already hazy while she replied subconsciously.

Mo Beichen was breathing hard. Their bodies were so close together and he was ready for the next action.

In the next second, Xia Weilan suddenly hugged his waist and stopped moving.

“Xia Weilan…” Mo Beichen lowered his eyes to look at her. He immediately felt frustrated because Xia Weilan actually fell asleep at a time like this.

Mo Beichen’s forehead throbbed. He carried Xia Weilan out from the bathroom, put her on the bed, and slipped her into her nightgown.

Throughout the entire process, Xia Weilan was sleeping like a dead pig.

Mo Beichen endured the heat on a certain part of his body as he helped her dry her hair. After he settled her, he walked into the bathroom and took a long cold shower before coming out.

The next day, Xia Weilan couldn’t recall anything when she woke up. She kept asking Mo Beichen if she had done anything out of place which made Mo Beichen a little depressed.

On the same day, Mo Beichen took Xia Weilan to famous historic sites nearby to visit the magnificent temples abroad.

“Hi, can you do me a favor?” A well-dressed young man halted them at the temple door.

“What’s the matter?” Xia Weilan looked at him in surprise. This person was fair and he seemed to be a mixed race.

“Here’s the thing.” The young man said anxiously, “My name is Luke. I came for a vacation. My bag was stolen just now. My phone, bank cards and passport are gone. I’d like to borrow some money from you so that I can go back to the hotel where my friend works.”

Xia Weilan frowned and she had a feeling that she might have encountered a scammer again. She couldn’t help but ask, “Your friend? What kind of friend? Why are you coming here alone?”

Luke didn’t expect Xia Weilan to ask these questions. He replied, “My friend is also a Chinese. He is working now. I came here to visit him and also to tour around this country. What I said… is true.”

At the end of the conversation, Luke seemed to stammer. Perhaps he was nervous or perhaps it was something else. But he definitely looked suspicious.

Mo Beichen suddenly asked, “How much do you need?”

“One hundred dollars, I just need to get back to the hotel,” Luke said quickly.

Xia Weilan wanted to say something, but Mo Beichen whispered into her ear, “Did you notice that he is wearing luxury items on him? People with such status would not go as far as to deceive others for hundreds of dollars in broad daylight.”

Xia Weilan stared at Luke’s well-dressed and exquisite appearance. She also agreed someone with such fine taste is unlikely to be a scammer. So, she eased her tone.

“Okay, we’ll lend you some money.”

“Thank you so much.” Luke immediately let out a sigh of relief.

Xia Weilan passed a few notes to him. Luke thanked them again after taking the money, and left his contact information.

“You can add me on WeChat. Once I get back, I’ll transfer the money back to you.”

Xia Weilan didn’t really care about such a small amount of money. Seeing his sincere gesture, she didn’t refuse his offer and added him to her WeChat contact list . Before Luke left, he said, “I’ll add you as soon as I am back to the hotel and I’ll pay you back soon. You guys really helped me a lot.”

Xia Weilan was really convinced now that he was someone who encountered trouble. She felt delighted for doing a good deed.

After that, they went into the temple. From time to time, Xia Weilan wondered if Luke managed to make his way back to the hotel safely. Had he encountered any more troubles, why hadn’t he added her?

Xia Weilan understands that for those who lost everything, it would be troublesome to sort everything out. So, she couldn’t help but feel a little worried.

“What’s wrong? Who are you thinking about?” Mo Beichen asked while staring at her.

“I was thinking…” Xia Weilan paused, and suddenly smiled, “I was thinking of why are you so good in reading people.”

“That’s because I’ve met so many people. I can tell at a glance what kind of person the other person is.”

“Then when you first met me, were you able to tell what sort of person I am?”

Mo Beichen answered indifferently, “Those who had bad intentions!”

Xia Weilan looked at him embarrassedly. He’s really good at this.

“However,” Mo Beichen said while holding her hand as they walked. “I only managed to see through your greed now. You are after my whole body.”

Xia Weilan pretended to be angry, “Now that you can see it, what are you going to do?”

“I’ll beat you at your own game.”

Xia Weilan choked. Who is scheming whom? Why does it feel like she was the one trapped by him?
