“Is it still painful?” Mo Beichen asked when he fed her a spoonful of soup.

“Not really, it’s fine as long as I don’t bump it against something.” Xia Weilan suddenly stopped talking because she saw Han Yishi with a sorry look on his face. He even passed her an eye signal.

She then saw Han Yishi put down his chopsticks and stared at Mo Beichen with a serious face, “Uncle, since we are going to collaborate, why don’t we bring Miss Xia back to the office to discuss the details?”

“We’ll talk after the meal!” Mo Beichen’s gentle expression turned cold the moment he looked at Han Yishi.

“Is that considered cute? His brain must have been filled with grass. Although he is made famous by starring in the TV drama, he must have been brainwashed for thinking that he is a warrior. He doesn’t feel at ease for not causing problems for even a day. He’s already twenty years old but he’s still acting like a child.” It was obvious that Mo Beichen was really upset. At this instant, he is more like a father rather than an uncle.

“Let’s assign him a pragmatic role next time. Let him figure things out and perhaps he will start acting more mature.” Xia Weilan had a good impression of Han Yishi and she felt that he shared the same personality as his brother. She couldn’t help but say some good things about him.

He then looked at himself in the mirror and decided that he didn’t look old at all.

That brat is simply talking nonsense.

“I’ll bring you to a quiet place for lunch.” Mo Beichen suddenly said.

Xia Weilan wanted to tell him that she’s actually full already. However, she realized that Mo Beichen had not taken a single bite just now.

“Okay.” Xia Weilan replied briefly.

She recalled that Han Yishi mentioned that previously Old Master Mo was fond of having Xia Roulin as the daughter-in-law of the Mo Family.

“Hubby…” Xia Weilan spoke her mind, “Is it true that the Xia and Mo Family had already set a marriage agreement twenty years ago?”

Mo Beichen immediately explained, “Yes, they’ve set an agreement. But that was set with your father. The agreement made back then was, if there’s a son and daughter in each family, they’ll be married to each other.”

“But after that, your dad’s whereabouts were unknown. Xue Zhiqing intended to let Xia Roulin marry into the Mo Family to fulfill the oath made back then. Grandpa felt that this would bring the two families closer and wished to pair me up with Xia Roulin.”
