The Project Manager’s words came crashing down like an atomic bomb, bringing an uproar across the conference room.

“Oh my goodness, Miss Dong is really overconfident.”

“Yeah. I’ve heard that she’s always been arrogant and unreasonable. I never expected her to show up here and put on her childish ways.”

“I don’t think we should work with such a company.”

At first, Mo Donglin and Liu Yinyin had a lot of things that they wanted to vent. But now, they kept their mouths shut, fearing that they might say something that would remind everyone of the relationship between Dong’s family and Liu Yinyin. It would bring great shame to them.

“I will re-tender this project and the Project Manager will be managing this tender. If there’s no objection to this, we will start today’s meeting.”

As soon as Mo Beichen laid his words, everyone kept quiet and no one dared to talk any nonsense.

That evening, the moment Xia Weilan got off work, Mo Beichen came into her office..

“What’s the matter?”

“I’m picking you off work!” Mo Beichen took the bag in her hand and held her hands as he walked out with her.

Countless pairs of curious eyes were glancing at them.

Xia Weilan was a little embarrassed. She quickly stepped onto the elevator and pressed the button to the basement level.

Xia Weilan figured out that perhaps Mo Beichen was typing to show everyone how harmonious they are getting along, thus he couldn’t put up with the Dong family.

After getting in the car, Mo Beichen said, “Nan Fengyan invited us to a place.”

Xia Weilan lifted her gaze to him, “Where to?”

“Cruise ship. A golden cove for entertainment and killing time.” Mo Beichen spoke as he pulled off from the Mo Corps building.

At the pier, a huge cruise ship docked. After Xia Weilan and Mo Beichen got on the cruise ship, it slowly set sail off the coast.

At first, Xia Weilan looked fine during dinner, but as time went by, she was obviously absent-minded when the few of them gathered around for a game of poker because she was a little seasick.

Xia Weilan told Nan Fengyan, Rui Li and Mo Beichen, “You guys can continue with the game, I’m going out to get some air.”

After Xia Weilan finished speaking, she stood up, and an onlooker immediately took over her place.

Nan Fengyan glanced at Xia Weilan casually, and said to Mo Beichen, “She must be seasick. She’ll be alright after taking in some fresh air.”

Xia Weilan walked along the corridor, when she was just around the corner, she spotted two familiar figures.

It was Ouyang Mingqi and Xia Ruolin. They opened the door to a room and walked in.

Xia Weilan was surprised, and subconsciously walked beside the door to eavesdrop on their conversation.

“Mo Beichen is merciless indeed. Even the Ouyang family was dragged into this in the past few days! Haha, I’m starting to think that he’s not treating the Mo Corps money as nothing. He kept throwing his money to a point that I’m about to lose my grounds.” Ouyang Mingqi said coldly.

“What should we do? Although he had not made a move on the Xia family, many customers are afraid of the power of Mo Corps and they dare not cooperate with our company. If this continues, the Xia family will be over in another month.”

“The only way for us now is to join forces. By doing so, we might stand a chance to get ourselves out from this mess!” Ouyang Mingqi said in a bewildered voice.

The room immediately fell silent, until Xia Ruolin said in agreement, “Okay, let’s join forces!”

Xia Weilan frowned as she had probably guessed her answer before she heard this. She was just about to leave when she suddenly heard Xia Roulin’s shrieking from inside the room, “What are you doing? Let go!”

Xia Weilan’s heart raced suddenly as she felt a hunch. She heard Ouyang Mingqi siad ambiguously, “Why? Didn’t you like it? Since you’re here on the cruise ship with me, don’t tell me you’re not expecting this!”

Xia Weilan stood still for a while. She didn’t hear Xia Roulin rejecting Ouyang Mingqi. Instead, she heard some indescribable noises.

She quickly walked away, not wanting to stay there any longer. She walked toward her room and asked the cruise ship’s servant for some medicine for seasickness.

She took the medicine with warm water and waited quietly for a while for the medicine to take effect. Surely enough, she felt better already.

Meanwhile, after Ouyang Mingqi was done having a good time, he came out of the room ans asked the waiter, “Where is Xia Weilan’s room?”

The waiter pointed to a room not far away. Ouyang Mingqi frowned, and walked in that direction.

He intentionally came here because he knew that Mo Beichen and Xia Weilan would be here tonight. He still wanted to win over Xia Weilan very badly. He had a premonition that Xia Weilan is Mo Beichen’s weakness.

He stood in front of Xia Weilan’s room and put on a gentlemanly expression as he knocked on the door.

Meanwhile, on the deck of the ship, there were a lot of people standing around and there were also stores that provide beverages.

Xia Weilan walked to the edge of the ship, staring at the endless sea as she took in a few deep breaths.

When she passed by, a lot of men noticed her and started to stare at her with great interest.

When Ouyang Mingqi reached the deck, she spotted Xia Weilan standing there with her back facing him. He narrowed his eyes. He didn’t approach her immediately but walked up to a guy and chatted with him. “As long as you listen to me, the money is yours.”

Hearing this, the guy immediately walked towards Xia Weilan.

Xia Weilan heard footsteps approaching her. She turned her head subconsciously and heard the guy speaking shamelessly, “How much do you charge for spending a night with me? I’ll let you set the price!”

“You’re mistaken, I’m not a staff here!” Xia Weilan gave a cold stare at the person who acted recklessly. Luckily, he came alone, thus, Xia Weilan wasn’t really worried about it.

Ouyang Mingqi was standing not far away, waiting for Xia Weilan to scream. He planned to put on a heroic scene by rushing over to save her. He refused to believe that Xia Weilan wouldn’t be moved by his actions of rescuing her for so many times.

His lips curled into a smile as he stared at the situation over there with interest. However, the scene that he is waiting for never happened. What he witnessed made him widen his eyes.

He saw that the moment the young man got into action, Xia Weilan gave him a shoulder throw which sent him landing on the ground with a hard blow. The scream of that young man filled the deck.

Xia Weilan ran to the top of the flight of stairs, something crossed her mind and she suddenly turned her head to look around her.

Ouyang Mingqi was really upset because she had simply forgotten that Xia Weilan has some martial art skills. Although those skills are nothing to him, to those unformidable opponents, she could take them down easily. He saw Xia Weilan halted her footsteps and he quickly hid behind a pillar.

Xia Weilan retracted her gaze, and she needed to get back to her room immediately because the fabric underneath her arm had torn apart when she took down the guy just now. Luckily, she was able to cover it.

Back in the room, Xia Weilan requested the servant to get her a new set of clothes and she went inside the bathroom.

The moment she entered the bathroom, she heard the door to her room swing open.

Xia Weilan held her breath in alert. She only heard some soft and slow footsteps. Xia Weilan wanted to know if it was Mo Beichen who had come in, so she probed, “Beichen, are you back?”
