“Okay. Please wait for a moment. I’m going out to buy groceries now.” Because he is a friend of Mo Beichen, Xia Weilan didn’t want to embarrass Mo Beichen.

Mo Beichen clasped Xia Weilan’s hand and said, “There’s no need for the trouble. I’ll just ask someone to send some food over.”

Xia Weilan insisted, “It’s okay, there is a supermarket not far from here. I’ll make it quick.”

“I’ll accompany you.” Mo Beichen said helplessly.

Underneath the street lights, Xia Weilan and Mo Beichen walked side by side. And everything seems quiet and serene.

Their shadows behind them moved with them under the street lights.

After spending two days apart, it seemed as if they had been apart for a week. They felt the tenderness following their reunion.

At this moment, a couple walked toward them. They were the residents of this area who came out for a stroll. They were holding hands and leaning against each other, looking very sweet.

Mo Beichen took a step closer to Xia Weilan, and Xia Weilan also slowed down her footsteps. She felt his fingertips grazing gently on hers before he gently slid his fingers in between her fingers, lacing her hand in his.

“Didn’t you say that you would arrive at 12 o’clock?” Xia Weilan asked tenderly.

“Because Lin Beice is flying back together, so we just took a private jet.” Mo Beichen explained.

“Okay.” She replied and fell silent again.

The moonlight cast its glow on them faintly, and trees around them swayed by the wind.

The supermarket wasn’t very far, but yet it felt like a very long walk.

In the supermarket, Mo Beichen is pushing a trolley while staring at Xia Weilan picking vegetables in front of him.

“Did Beice have any special taste preferences?” Xia Weilan asked suddenly.

“He enjoys light food.” Mo Beichen frowned when he thought of the guy who had a picky taste bud.

Xia Weilan chose some light seasonings and vegetables.

They were the only customers in the supermarket.

When Xia Weilan and Mo Beichen checked out at the cashier, the cashier stared at their tightly clasped hands and said, “You must be newlyweds, right?”

Yes.” Xia Weilan admitted without hesitation. The cashier smiled kindly and began to check out their groceries.

Mo Beichen held Xia Weilan’s hand tighter.

This was the first time he bought groceries with Xia Weilan, and he felt like they were really a couple living together.

When Mo Beichen and Xia Weilan were on their way back to the villa, Mo Beichen received a text message from Lin Beice, “Why aren’t you back yet. You won’t go on a date and leave me alone, would you? I’m about to starve to death.”

Mo Beichen replied with a voice message, “You won’t die from starvation.”

Xia Weilan was a little embarrassed. She hurriedly took Mo Beichen’s hand and hurried back to the villa.

She was leading Mo Beichen forward, and he could only see her back. He thought that Xia Weilan was really cute.

Mo Beichen was certain that his friend wasn’t that hungry at all, because they had eaten together before boarding the plane.

They finally arrived at the villa.

Lin Beice turned his head from the sofa and raised his eyebrows when he saw the sweet looks of Mo Beichen and Xia Weilan.

This was the first time he saw Mo Beichen like this. It was as if he had completely stripped all his temper and he was very gentle.

“Oh, the filial husband is back!” Lin Beice whistled and teased.

Xia Weilan blushed immediately. Lin Beice was surprised by what he saw because this was the first time he saw such a shy woman. Mo Beichen has found a treasure.

Mo Beichen shoved the groceries that he was carrying to Lin Beice, “Cook whatever you feel like having.”

Lin Beice took the bag, and refused, “When you were at my place for the past few days, I’ve offered you delicious foods and shopping sprees. Now that I came to your place, are you treating me like this?”

“Weilan is tired, you’ll cook.” Mo Beichen said without hesitation.

Lin Beice pouted his lips when he heard Mo Beichen’s words. He murmured as he walked into the kitchen, “How could you choose love over friendship.”

Xia Weilan was a little embarrassed. Mo Beichen said, “Just leave him alone. Cooking is his life’s greatest hobby, he’s just nagging for the sake of nagging only.”

Xia Weilan was surprised. Very soon, the pleasant smell of cooking drifted from the kitchen.

Xia Weilan had already eaten, but somehow, the smell made her a little hungry.

Not long after, a few delicious dishes were served. Xia Weilan looked at those exquisite dishes and she couldn’t help but praise, “I didn’t expect that you have such great cooking skills.”

“I am a certified chef. There is not a dish that I can’t cook.” Lin Beice was a little proud when it came to his cooking skill.

“You should open a restaurant. I’m sure that your business will be blooming.” Xia Weilan said immediately.

“You’re right. I do own a restaurant and it’s very famous.” Lin Beice became even more excited.

“Eat your dinner.” Mo Beichen interrupted the conversation between the two.

Xia Weilan felt that Lin Beice was a straightforward person. This is the first time she came across someone who boasted himself as much.

After the meal, Xia Weilan immediately began to clean up the table as she couldn’t let the guest do it.

Lin Beice watched as Xia Weilan went into the kitchen. He immediately praised, “I didn’t expect you to be so blessed. Your wife is very cute and she really made sure to uphold your reputation. But to be honest, I didn’t expect you to be into this type. Sis-in-law seems to be only eighteen years old, right?”

‘Nineteen years old.” Mo Beichen corrected.

“Nineteen? That’s very young.” Lin Beice pointed out.

Mo Beichen’s face sank. Am I really that old?

At this moment, Xia Weilan walked out of the kitchen.

Mo Beichen’s gaze glided across her hands and saw that there were water droplets on them. He pulled out a tissue from the table and took her hand as he wiped them gently.

“Young Master Mo, you are trying to torture a single dog?” Lin Beice rebelled immediately.

Mo Beichen pretended that he didn’t hear his remarks, After he dried Xia Weilan’s hands, he didn’t let go of her hands and led her out of the door, “Let’s go. It’s time for us to head home and get some rest.”

Xia Weilan’s face was scalding hot. She turned her head around and waved to Lin Beice, “We’re going home, see you soon.”

“Sis-in-law, I will invite you for dinner tomorrow.” Lin Beice shouted. However, the door was already closed.

Suddenly, Lin Beice felt that the room villa was really quiet. It wasn’t easy to be a single dog.

Meanwhile, Liu Yinyin was very upset after returning home.

“Who does Xia Weilan think she is? She’s nothing but a young miss who was driven out. She has no power nor influence. But yet, the Old Master was so kind to her and even gave her two villas. He’s being prejudiced.”

“Well, didn’t Grandpa give a villa back then? Isn’t it the same?”

“How is it the same? If you were more capable, the old master wouldn’t look down on me and treated Xia Weilan so well. Isn’t all this because you’re holding such a low position in the company?”
